    I bought this exact model, have used it for a hundred miles so far. Observations: Take care when removing the front battery because the latch can get stuck. Top speed can be adjusted up to 99 kmh, but that's nonsense, the bike at top speed still barely reaches 32 mph. Get a MIPS scooter helmet for added safety. Pedals are useless faster than about 22 mph. Good idea to put green Slime into the inner tubes, but buy a air valve stem removal tool, don't use the plastic one with the Slime bottle (it just breaks). Use less than a cup of Slime for each tire. Carefully massage the tire as you SLOWLY inflate it to avoid pinching the tube, which can pop inside the tire.
    Fat tires on asphalt work best at about 25 psi, great range. If you are fat like me (300 lb), then get a Cloud Nine seat and a shock absorbing seat tube. Seat tube is 33.9 mm. At Harbor Fright buy a small cargo web $5, and some flat bungee cords $5 for the rear rack. If you don't want the giant basket, steal a milk crate and use thick tie wraps $4 to fasten it down. Tie wrap cutter is also $5.
    Bike has three options for assist modes in the settings: 1 to 3, 1 to 5, and 1 to 9. All of them have an Eco Mode that lets you go about 18 mph for long, long distances. I now use Level 4 of 9 for that purpose. I did a 26 mile ride using just over 35 percent of the battery, including a test dash at about 30 mph, just for fun. If you keep the speed to 18 mph, you actually might get a hundred miles range.
    Tip: Frame serial number is NOT near the pedal crank, it's just above the front fork, on the frame just below the handlebar. Other numbers are easy to find. Keep the box for a least a couple months. Be persistent and patient with Customer Support, they have supply issues. Long way from China...
    Challengers: Polarna M6, Engwe L20, Juiced HyperScorpion, AmpRides Volt Step Thru, Lectric XPedition, Freego FB-20X Step-thru, Ariel Rider X-Class 52V Step-Thru, and more tempting bikes appear every week.

    The bike not being able to fold speaks volumes on the QA of the company toward the end stage of their production line. 25 years ago, I was an electronic technician for Hewlett-Packard . I used to do QA and testing for their measuring systems.shipping a folding bike at a stage where it can’t fold makes me wary of buying from this company. I know we all make mistakes , and some problems can squeak on by… but to me, it just screams laziness and poor training at their assembly line, and it shouldn’t have been missed. On a side note…the controller would benefit with a small computer fan built in.. or maybe a couple of more heat sinks. I hope the company sees your awesome video review!

    I wish the wheels on the Wallke H6 was much bigger and the height of the bike a bit more taller. Would definitely prefer a 27.5 inch fat tire bike over a 20 inch one. One thing that Wallke does well at is being generous with the battery capacity. Essentially you’re looking at $1.25/Wh assuming it’s $2,099 total and got 1,680 watt hours which is honestly not too bad. Many companies priced their a bit high and make it $3.00/Wh.

  • @mojoteq

    I wish I could use my h6 dual battery e bike. I bought it off amazon, and a few months there were broken welds on the frame. I contacted support and they sent me another frame to me here in Arizona in a box that by the time I got it a month later was so beaten and broken that AFTER I paid a bike company $200 to replace the entire frame, we found out the one that was sent was bent at the hinge on the body of the frame so it would not close properly and it wasn't possible to lock the frame closed. I desperately tried for months to get wallke to help me, and provided the written statement from the bike company invoice saying the hinge on the frame was bent causing the bike to not be able to be locked in the closed position, and the bike was unsafe to use. Wallke refused to believe me or the bike shop, and refused to do anything other than send a new locking mechanism, which would not fix the fact that the hinge on the frame, not the locking mechanism is bent. I regret spending $2500 on a bike I got to use less than a dozen times. I would seriously avoid this company.

    That is display temperature reading on motor not controller. 94 degrees celsius is 201 F almost boiling. To me when you get into temperature rollback it is best to pull over for 5 minutes rather than cooking the wires in motor. See if there is proper ventilation around controller. Possibly heat sinks could be added.

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  Год назад

      I believe it’s the controller temperature because there is also a setting for motor temperature, but it does not display anything so I’m thinking there is no sensors in the motor only in the controller.

    I do think if the controller is smart enough to limit output to save itself from a potential meltdown from overheating that it would be a good feature to have. Though the fact that during your major stress test of hitting the bottom of that steep hill at 31mph, really exposes this kind of scenario. It brings up the question: does each ebike have its own sustainable amp output without overheating during 70° day? I would imagine some ebikes have much better (or worse) passive cooling for their controllers which are hidden away inside tight compartments. Its a great feature that the display is monitoring and displaying the controller's temperature in realtime.

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  Год назад +3

      This bike actually uses a cadence sensor but yes, a torque sensor would be awesome on this bike and you wouldn’t have to worry about the lack of PAS level/speed adjustability as much. I do like torque sensors when you are able to override them with the throttle but When you cannot override it with throttle it makes it kind of tough on Hills with a torque sensor.

    What happens if you put a Magicycle LCD on the H6? If it fits (I think it might), that would give you a lot of customization, like pedal assist levels. That way, you don't get a PAS level 1 taking you up to 14mph.

    QUESTION. I want to get this bike for my wife so we can ride together, problem is that she’s only 5ft tall. Im stuck between the regular one and the StepThrough model; my question is: would the regular model with the regular seat post (non suspension) be the same seat height to the ground as the StepThrough model? I like the regular model bc it has folding handle bars and the optional suspension seat post, but I’m worried my wife won’t be able to ride it. I like the StepThrough model because the handle bars are angled backwards, seat seems shorter and of course the StepThrough which all make it easier for her to ride.

    • @JeremiahMcintosh
      @JeremiahMcintosh  11 месяцев назад +1

      According to my measurements the regular model with the non suspension post was about 3/4” higher that the step through version. The minimum on the ST version was 34.75” which is still high and To be honest in my opinion it’s a pretty big bike for someone 5’. I don’t know her capabilities but most shorter people prefer bikes with a lower seat height so they feel more comfortable being able to touch the ground.
