Jesus! I'm 46, listened to Vic for decades and here I am in my bloody garage with tears in my eyes seeing this for the first time. I miss having him around!
❤❤❤😢😢😢😢❤❤❤
My Grandma raised me and this song always reminded me of her. Today we buried her next to my Grandpa in our family cemetery.. Now the only thing I can do is listen to this over and over. Merry Christmas y'all.
This video changes me a little bit every time I watch it. One of the most raw, beautiful and moving musical performances I've ever seen in my life.
my grandmother passed today & I've come here to find solace. Thank you Vic
Questa canzone è un farmaco per temperamenti malinconici. Grazie Vic
I miss Vic soooo much. He was a humble and beautiful human being….
I recently talked to my moms about Vic, told her about how he died and I couldn't stop crying, I was breathing super heavy and I've never had those emotions while talking about any other musician I love who passed away. Vic was the man, one of a kind. I'm upset to have learned Vic lived in Athens, Ga. Less than an hour from where I live and I never got to see him live. :(
perfect example of a guy taking his imperfections and limitations, and making them inextricably beautiful in their inventiveness.
I just love being a granny ...its the blessing for sure ...
R.I.P Vic , we miss you!!!
Merci.....un homme pleins de talent ... qui ma fait vibrer et me fais encore vibrer......
RIP
Is the whole show ever gonna see the light of day? I get goosebumps every time I watch this.
just discovering vic…
no words to describe the sadness i am allowing myself to feel!!
thank you to jimmy trash for introducing.
It's not easy ~ he was a gorgeous man and we lost him far, far, far too soon. This one's especially poignant for me, as I cared for, and subsequently lost my own 'Granny' to cancer 3 years ago. I listened to this a lot in the years I looked after her; tears in my eyes; often numb with booze. I cried a sink of tears when she died, just as I had done when Vic passed.
До слез. Вечная ему память.
Im a granny now and I am loving every minute of it.
Thank you for this beautiful song Vic... love
I love reading the comments, as I am so glad that Vic's reputation continues to grow. I attended many, many concerts between 1995-2009, and Vic and his music have meant so much to me. I am an academic, a prof, who specializes in poetry. Vic was a great poet and a gift to the world.
I'm in tears.
We miss you Vic Chesnutt
Haunting and beautiful... Thanks for your inspiration Vic.. MISS YOU BUDDY!!!
I miss Vic....he was so great! RIP Vic......no more pain :)

ViC the One and Only
Listen your music its a feeling i cant describe ..i know for sure you are in a better place today
Same dude, same...
Vic was so a good singer..
(sry for bad english)
I just like how the way he plays sound so fragile. He didn't let his "disability" chain him down
I miss my Granny more than anyone on this foul earth. Vic, I cry a tear for you and a tear for me.
Sorely missed and welcomed back anytime. Thanks a lot for posting more of this magnificient concert footage. Meanwhile I feel happy for him, being in that better place. Have a good time, Vic!
Thank you for this video. Amazing (missed) Vic. :o(
i can't wait to see more of this show
RIP, sad that he passed just a month after this was filmed....
Wonderfull ! Thanks Man !
i discovered vic on NPR with his 'fresh air'interview. is it me, or does this live version of 'Granny" have a whole different 'feel' to it than the verision vic sings on the 'at the cut' cd?
it's probably my most viewed vidéo on youtube
you are one of the best band's I've heard for ages! love your hat too. Big kiss on the head for you and I hope your right hand heals for you. love X
He is paralyzed. Hand isnt injured or getting better.
He is dead.
Support healthcare for all.
Wow, Vic went into his stories, and takes the listener with him.
so good!
I miss vic ...
Wonderful
I love watching him play, a little bit clumsy, but without an ounce of fear as he just lets it all go with his voice.
John Petzold
I'd challenge anyone to write better songs than Vic.
I learned of him from Slingblade, I learned of the rest of him from there!!
her speak a Heart....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is powerful.
It's 2021. Has this performance ever received official release? Will it? And where can I get it?
The estate has never given us permission to release the full show, interview, extras and opening set performance by Vic’s niece Liz Durrett...
Maybe it’s time to ask them again?
@@the_neighbors_dog Sure!
@@the_neighbors_dogplease ask them again! Would certainly purchase the full set in a heartbeat
Has the full gig been uploaded somewhere? This is brilliant!
I am a messed person. I don't think a day goes by without thinking of his and David Foster Wallace's suicides.
Hope it's better these days.
"like i'm Jewel" HAHAHA

the neighbors dog Will this performance ever be released in full? I would pay good money to see it...
@bartdunn What is that supposed to mean?
And just imagine, if his medical bills hadn't driven him into debt and depression, he might still be with us today.
Ach ja. Verarsche kann so genial sein
Der Neumann wie meinen?
Weiß ich jetzt auch nicht mehr
