How do you find the Dab signal on the MG007 ? I've had the DMR104 for years and the signal was always good but the power and volume started playing up years later . I then bought a DMR115 , the sound is great BUT compared to the 104 the DAB signal on the 115 is not as good depending on area ! I later got a good deal on a DMR301 which although doesn't have the graphic equaliser still has Bluetooth and DAB and it recieves signal as well as the 104 and much better than the 115

As a trades man the DMR115 sounds great and the graphic equaliser is handy BUT ! it drains batteries twice as quick as the likes of the older DMR104/110 on Dab , i can get 3 days out of a 5ah battery using Dab on volume setting 15 on a DMR104 but only a day and a half on the DMR115 and the batteries drain even quicker when using Bluetooth !
But the biggest problem with the DMR115 is the DAB signal , I've had my DMR115 for 3 years now and have found that unless you have a good DAB signal the 115 will often loose the signal where as the 104 will still be playing DAB , unfortunately most stations have moved to DAB+ and the 104 is DAB so i've ended up buying the DMR301 which is DAB+ and Bluetooth , Batteries last around 2 days on DAB+ at volume 15 and the DAB+ siganal is ore or less on par with the DMR104
The biggest let down of the DMR115 is the DAB signal and if you're a trades man you'll be moving from site to site so be warned ⚠️ about the 115's struggle with DAB signal . I'd recommend the DMR301

Hey, thanks for the update. Have you tried leaving the handle up when using on site as that’s where the aerial lives?

@@noseknows Hey bud , the handle always stays up when in use , even tried the trick with the old radios where you lean a length of metal against the aerial but no joy . The 301 is a better radio

If you use a 12v battery you have enough room to locate power supply within as well.

Hiya, just found your channel and noticed you did a tear down on a Dyson V6 few year back, I'm just trying to sort mine out now, when you took the back plastic off and put a battery in to see the blue light come on the circuit board, mine doesn't do that and it's a new battery, is it Knackered if it doesn't light up, many thanks Paul 🙂

Hey Paul, without being able to check the voltage at at both the battery and the unit itself it’s hard to say but if you do have a multimeter I would check the battery terminals first for voltage and then whilst connected try to check the unit is receiving a voltage as well.

This thing sucks as a jobsite radio. I work in construction and we had to recharge the batteries after only 3 hours of running time. Talking 18v 6ah brand spanking new batteries. I Switched to an older model and it runs for 2 days. I don't recommend this thing at all, especially for the price they are selling it for.

The Beauty of the DMR115 is that it has a graphic equaliser and you can turn the base right down , which is why i bought one .
