- It’s Fall and that means it time for the fair. The Pensacola Interstate Fair comes to Pensacola, Florida every October and we always have a fun time riding rides and eating delicious fair food. Tonight, it’s time to sample as many sweet and savory food items the fair has to offer and show you around the fairgrounds as we go on another Butler Family Adventure.

I kept waiting for the funnel cake!! That’s classics at the fair! It looked a great night.
Wish I saved room for one. They had a lot of delicious ones for sale but I had already eaten myself sick.

I attended the Pensacola Interstate fair last night on Friday, October 27, 2023. I like to take photos of things I see on the fairgrounds, including the different animals. I visited the cattle house, and a young woman was attending her cows (as she called them). I took some photos of the cows, but when I got to a cow with a big number "02" burned into its hide, a young woman (who had been answering people’s questions about the cows) rudely stopped me, telling me not to take pictures of her animal, because she said she doesn't want people contacting her to complain that she is abusing the animals. That upset me because I didn't like the rude way that she talked to me, as if I was doing something wrong.
Kindly said, I wasn't going to do anything with the photo, but if her ranch is so paranoid that she feels compelled to forbid people at a public fair to use a camera, warning them to not take photographs of her branded cows, afraid that I might call PETA or expose her ranch on social media for torturing animals, then she shouldn't bring those damn cows to the fair. I thought that was terrible the way that she mistreated me. I just thought it was interesting to see a branded cow for the first time.
I was having a nice evening until I met that unpleasant brat at the fair. She was very rude. Kindly said, they shouldn’t display their fire-branded ranch animals in public if they are paranoid that fair attendees will do something undesirable with the photos. I was just having a nice time, nothing more. It ruined my evening and I went home early because I was so upset.

They do have an animal auction there so local farmers can sell their livestock.
