One of my favourite all time fragrances. To me it smells of if you stuck your nose into a bit of plastic, like a kid's sandcastle bucket, and as you bend it and it starts to crack and stretch and discolour it emits a very particular smell of warm sweet smelling plastic, with ozonic notes. The scent profile works great all year round, but it's an incredibly unique summer fragrance to me thanks to the melon note. When I smell it I think of a beach shop. Rubber dinghies, plastic bucket and spades, sweets slightly melting in the summer heat, the crispness of the air from the sea. I'm absolutely addicted to it. Ended up looking it up on RUclips to see what others think as I just sit here smelling the atomiser on my bottle waiting for it to warm up again in the UK.
It's funny, because a lot of people really shy away from this fragrance; but unfortunately are missing out on its greatness. I do love the way you described it here. It's clear that the 'plastic' note is accentuated for you...and when you stop and think it's unusual that we would be so drawn to a 'plastic note'😂and yet it works. The story behind this one has my imagination running wild but in the spirit and essence of mad creation here it goes. It was said Fantomas was loyal to none, not even his own children. He is a master of disguise, always appearing under an assumed identity, often that of a person whom he has murdered. From this, my wild mind goes into thoughts of: Was this created to blend with the brother and sister fragrances? By blending the fragrances it automatically kills the original scent but what your left with is a killer fragrance that disguises itself as the original brother/sister fragrance......Probably not but it was a fun thought. I blind bought Duro and Pardon. And after a few days of alternating those I knew I had to buy the whole line. I was a bit reluctant about fantomas but it was available on discounters while others weren't so I got it along with absinthe in my second Nasomatto haul. I loved absinthe from the start but fantomas on paper was revolting. Even after dry down it was unbearable. Then I it tried on skin and I fell in love. It's a challenging fragrance. Smells like walking through a bikini islands nuclear testing site in a hazmat suit.
I’ve been wearing this fragrance for 2 years now. It is such an indescribably delicious scent. It smells like literally nothing else I’ve ever experienced. I will never stop buying it and I hope nasomatto stays in business forever so I can wear it for the rest of my life. It’s so sexy, sophisticated, just….ugh. Indescribably good.
Love it! A lot of people are afraid to experience this fragrance. On first spray it can be a bit jarring..."what is going on??!!" But once you settle into the fragrance the magic emerges and like you mentioned @Zeljia it's the most unique fragrance out there. As mentioned, you are going to hate it on first spray😂…. but give it time and it’ll weave it’s magic on you. This is a classic but buyer beware this is only for those deeper into Niche… if you’re new to Niche this is voodoo in a bottle👹
The musician Mike Patton has a band named Fantomas. The way you described the fragrance could be an interpretation of the sound of the band. If you are interested you should give the band a listen.

I love that everyone that has experienced this fragrance gets a different version of a melon. For me it’s an overripe (but not sickly) Cantaloupe. For my wife it’s Honey Dew and now you’re saying Watermelon….awesome This one is really unique and I love that it’s hard to pin point exactly what this creation actually is
He did a review on Black Afgano Research it and watch it. It’s very well done and you will understand the fragrance a lot better. Any fragrance, especially niche frags, Marcella is the man. He describes his fragrances so well, you can almost smell them as he describes them. Good luck on your quest 👍👍
I think this frag is a really love/hate, it's polarizing one. I also think u habe to wear it more then once to understand it...i literally fell in love with fantomas.
100% agree 💥 Fantomas needs to be tested more than once…and you will fall in love. My son was not a fan of this fragrance but recently I got him to test again….he was reluctant to try (“I really don’t get into this perfume”) then afterwards he couldn’t stop smelling his arm😆 For me I find on hot days, this perfume shines♥️

I completely agree. It was early on that I discovered the master at this (Michael…I did an episode with him. He’s part of the NFC Family). This is only my 2 nassomotto I ever smelled I blind bought duro it gave me a headache every time I wore it so I swapped it with a different fragerance because of that first impression I stayed away from the house for a long time until I decided to give the house another try since I heard great things I still need to try the others but I like wearing this dressed up in summer it's great not the.typical summer scent .

We belong to the group of haters unfortunately. Tested it few times in different setups but no luck. If you care about reasons, this thing has no pattern, feels like a lazy mixture of left over fruity synthetics, etc. We own most of their stuff but this one was a let down for us...we loved the name though 😃

I get watermelon as the main smell, floral/vanilla and woody undertone. Great perfume, I'll keep it on the 'to buy' list for now.
