Lastly, we visited Birra Korca, a brewing company founded in Albania in 1928. We had a bit of a mix-up in terms of the existence of a brewery tour and where we were meeting each other...
We are humbled and grateful for the hospitality of the Albanian people everywhere we have been in the country. Every day we are amazed by the beauty of this country and the kindness of the people here. The beer is pretty damn good too!

RYDER-SAN :) Yarishu desu!!! Love your videos - I watch them every week!
Yarish-San!!! It's so nice to hear from you! Thanks so much for watching 😊💗
That is so cool!!! Just walk around a brewery and act like you know what you are doing and get a behind the scenes tour? We are definitely going to try that! Great video guys!! Cheers!!!🍻
Lol don't try this at home! I genuinely thought Stevo had gone in there. But it all worked out very well in the end!! Cheers to you two!!🍻
Great vid. There was a beer I spotted in Tirana airport, small bottles, one was 6.9%, I can’t remember what it was called, any ideas?
Thanks! Hmm, it could have been Birra Korça, Birra Tirana, or maybe Elbar. Are any of those familiar?
How I miss that city, I was born there but now I live in Iowa, it's funny when you were mentioning beer prices, it's ridiculously cheap even for Albanian standards 🤣
So cheap!! And such good beer. That's so cool that you were born in Korce. We really loved the city and had so much fun there. Thanks for your comment :)
The school is very special
The history of education in Albania is very different. The Turks prohibited the writing in the Albanian language , and burn what ever writing they found ( not many ) There is one left in the Vatican that was written before the Turkish invasion. If you were lucky enough to go to school you had to go according to your religion. If you were a Muslim you were considered a Turk, if you were Orthodox you were listed as a Greek and must go to a Greek school, if you were Catholic in the north you were latin. So in this small school Muslims, and Orthodox girls and boys all studied together
The University of Athens now say in light of new evidence They found letters from the different generals and admirals ( Their heroes ) all in the Greek script but in the Albanian language. One of the heroes was Greek, ( wrote in Greek, one was a Vlach, wrote in Greek the rest were Albanian ( Avanites ) Wrote to each other in the Greek script but only in the Albanian language. They are originals!
Up aways from the brewery there is a very old church with all the icons in it. They say is older then St Naun in Macedonia. It's wide open no fees no vandalism You might want to take a cab. There is also a good fish restaurant up there
Thank you for taking the time to share this detailed and very interesting information! I hope people reading this will go to the church you mentioned. That sounds amazing! We didn't have a chance to go while we were there, but you've given us something to do on our next trip to Korçë :) We really appreciate your comment!

Korca has the top smartest Albanians...
People in Korca are wonderful. We have found that to be true all over Albania!!
not true the top smart people were gathered around industrial towns all over albania. when the industry was dismantled 30 years ago by you know who people left and went to germany , canada, france and usa
albanian is directly desctened from old helenic dialects of 2800 years ago. albanian language is much closer related to classic Hellenic dialects than greek! These facts have only been discovered in the 21 century. Albanian is not a language on its own and out of nowhere.
That's very interesting! It's amazing how researchers are always discovering new things. Thanks for sharing :)
