The thing about a player like Matt, why it’s refreshing to see him win and play at such a high level consistently, he’s a great example of finding what works for you and just refining it through years of persistence, once you get into tight highly technical woods playing, trying to have impeccable form will get you in trouble, feel and your ability to manipulate the disc come front and center.

"He won't lose any meters, but you might lose some feet." Made me laugh out loud.

Excellent form breakdown for Matty-O. Really shows there more than one way to get to an objective. I may experiment with it.
I greatly enjoy your teaching :)

The last 24 hours has been like waiting for Villeneuve's Dune back in 2018. I am really looking forward to this series.

Great topic! Matty O's throw is so clean ive always loved the looks of it.
one thing i took from it is how he soars it out there with his chest, made me notice how scrunched together my shoulders were trying mistakenly to get momentum punching my left arm while trying to "lag" my throwing arm by leaving my shoulder limp, rather than getting the power from my whole core and in turn legs.
(This didnt work at all and was really bad on my shoulder.)
I just misunderstood what all the coaching videos online were trying to describe with the "whip". Actually your "cooking the spaghetti" is what gave me the biggest breakthrough realizing the power pocket is where you basically whip from the elbow not the shoulder, which in turn lead me understand why people like eagle and drew would say "just try to elbow something really hard!")

Great tips! I've also been holding the disc in the power pocket and "aiming" with my elbow before trying to hit a narrow gap. Been working like a charm.

In his shadow swings pre-shot he turns the key at the end, interesting way to "eliminate" some of the nose up of this swing, curious on your thoughts!

Haven't looked at that, but if you throw from the neck height, you could potentially need such a band-aid move to fix problems it causes.

Great video as usual, I think your form videos are the best on RUclips. Btw, what music are you using in this video? It sounds so chill and relaxing 😎

Fewer moving parts, smaller margin of error. This is what I believe.

Matty O's putt kinda looks like a short version of his control shot here. Like he just pushes the disc straight out from his neck and laser beams it into the basket. It looks very repeatable for him at least. Also you forgot a key part of his form, your glasses need to fly off your head when you throw.
