Ah interesting, can see the benefit of the vertical coloured stripes now for tightening!

It can definitely help but you don't need them... it can be just as easy to just roughly eye ball where relative to either edge you need to tighten. That said the stripes are so helpful for demonstrating as its definitely a visual cue!
