- I show you how I built a custom headliner from scratch on my 1979 jeep j10 using some corrugated plastic sheeting and some plaid fabric. Very simple only cost about 45$ for everything.

I love the plastic sheeting idea. I have an old Dakota that needs a new headliner, and this is a great idea. Glad I found your video. Thanks
nice truck my guy! Love the rustic look!
man awesome video, definitely going to do this to my 1986 F-250! Can't be cutting yourself short man yours looks amazing. Googled how to make one, saw your little short clip at the start and thought "holy crap that looks so good"
Thanks man.
Awesome! Thank for sharing
Great idea, thanks👍🏽
Love it!
Thx for the idea and video
Man, I would do some questionable things for a PDF template to make my headliner from scratch. The top of my truck is sans everything. Very cool job!
Thanks… I’m sure somewhere in the deep depths of the internet someone has one.
Nyce job well done
Nice job man! I've been putting my J10 interior off for a long time not knowing where to start. Thanks for the videos.
Just gotta pick something and do it lol.. thanks
I just built one for my 92 Dodge D-150. I used a piece of 1/4" plywood but mine doesn't have any bends in it, it's just a flat piece, I have about $50 in mine but I used the black fake aligator vinyl that I caught on sale at Joann's Fabric
Very nice
Great video bro...I went to Lowe's and got the 4x8 board but they are up to $35 in my area. Still a cheap fix. Tip about cutting the old headliner up for a template for the angles was great. I have some curves in mi e and actually used a screen installer tool to kind of scribe lines instead of cutting the board and it worked great.
Nice
I wish that I had seen this before I hard to replace the sagging headliner in my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. The plaid color would have been perfect. Am I gonna tear it out and start over.? Probably not but when/if my redo fails. I'm gonna use the plaid.
Thanks for the video! I need to do this in my J10. What kind of screws you used to secure it to the car frame? And also, did you disable the cabin light?
What material did u use for the new one as in the white base thing
I have a 98 grand Cherokee , any recommendations?
Great job. Can you come do mine???
where did you get the diamond leather vinyl for the door?
I ordered it off eBay
How did you get your stereo in and how did you relocate your glove box and have it look so factory
The stereo has a section on the back that slides into the dash it was a tight fit and it has some screws on the back side to hold it in.. the factory glove box was welded shut and a cj7 glove box was cut into the passenger side
@@brokenpoortradingco Thanks for the reply. It looks great.
Where can I buy the headliner panel board? (thanks)
They sell it at Lowe’s or Home Depot not sure what it’s actually called but it’s usually located near the plexy glass sheets
where did u get the white board , when will u tell me
I got it from Lowe’s

it’s just a 4x8 sheet of corrugated plastic from lowes
What if no headliner is used at all. Just clean the metal and spray paint it. Looks ruff but sutis pickups and muscle cars isnt?
What is the name of the material u use for the headliner and where did u buy it I’m looking for the red kind thank
The fabric is just plaid fabric from Walmart the board is called corrugated board they sell it at Lowe’s or Home Depot
@@brokenpoortradingco thank u
Love it!
Is the material still holding up? Any sagging?
It has a couple spots that came loose but I’d blame it on the glue.. get a good glue and use a lot of it lol
@@brokenpoortradingcohow about sagging from heat? Are you in a hot region?
what is the white board made of
Plastic
