    When you said , “Dying ‘EMPTY’...” it just reminded me about what I heard years ago about Nicodemus .... He was among the most wealthiest during his life time ... By the time he died he was among the poorest but HAPPIEST soul.
    And what some one like that leaves behind is a legacy of unlimited wealth that carries on to Eternity , I believe ....
    “Rich in deed ... Rich in Good Works ...”
    Thank You MUCH for Your spiritual TRUE TO LIFE ... TRUE GOD ... TRUE TO SELF ... along as well as TRUE TO MUSIC ...endeavors & Ministry ....🙏🏽💥👍🏽❤️

    Kevin, I've been watching and listening to some of your videos off and on for sometime now and out of all that I've viewed ...this one really blessed me. Not because of the interesting and helpful techniques and chord voicing, but because of your transparency and humility to share your strengths and weaknesses in music. Very heart felt my brother, we'll received and I am truly humbled. I've been playing for 30+ yrs and not proficient in A, D, B or E but The Lord has blessed my gifting to the best of my understanding. I can learn a lot from you. This video, has blessing all over it. Wow. It's your humility of spirit that has given me a whole different view of your ministry. This one is truly blessed.
    Great Respect. -Educapro

    I like this video. I like the perspective of how to address difficult keys...that you can't just look at it as your'e playing in that difficult key (A in this case), but focus more on the progressions (scale) used. It does help. I think that the transpose button has gotten a bad rep because instead of people using it as a tool which can get you out of a sticky situation on the fly, but should also encourage you to go home and practice the transposed song in it's original key that you had difficulty playing in. A lot of people use it as a permanent crutch, which in turn makes them lazy to fully learn the keyboard.
    Thanks KC

    • @prettysimplemusic
      @prettysimplemusic  10 лет назад +2

      not sure about raid hard drive??? I actually made this video with my nifty little macbook air... Normally for the big sound and major projects I use my Mac mini (with factory settings, only upgrade I made was 16gigs of ram)...

    • @jakejacobs126
      @jakejacobs126 10 лет назад +1

      prettysimplemusic Some people run redundant hard drives. Raid 1 I believe its called. This is just in case one drive fails. All of my setups have some kind of hardware backup so I dont do this as of yet. I know I need to do something. At the end of Sunday service my single 7200 rpm drive is cookie sheet hot. I work that poor thing very hard. I have 8Gigs of ram since I only load about 5 sounds for Sunday morning.

    • @prettysimplemusic
      @prettysimplemusic  10 лет назад +2

      hnsmusic gotcha... yeah, since I use the Ravenscroft 275 piano exclusively, I had no choice but to add 16 gigs of ram...that piano alone is 30+ gigs...plus i like to add lush layers on top of it...

    Lovely juicy chords.
    Anyway of getting the note readings to sharps?
    e.g. There is no Db in the key of A, it's a C# and trying to read the chords you're playing with Gb cropping up instead of F# is leaving me having to work harder than necessary.
    (Half the sequencers I know do the opposite, to if you played in Ab it would be saying G# at you.)
    Great job though. Slowing it down really helps. The flat/sharp thing is just a tweak to make it even more comprehensible.

      Hey thanks for watching!!! I'm not playing in A natural... I'm playing preacher chords in Ab, Db, and progressions in the key of F major, all of which use flats in their respective keys... I repeatedly focus on the fact that I'm not really playing in the key of A major, although it "sounds" as such... :-)

    Awesome stuff. I'm not black so I need more of a breakdown on these chords. I wish I could play this type and incorporate it with the Spanish songs. like algo esta cayendo aqui.
