After this maybe gonna watch some sandokan and slugterra, good stories with actually likable characters that not make someone wanna tear their own hair out! Honestly hope some joining.
I wonder why, if Agatha's intention in gathering a coven was to steal their powers by means of the Witch's Road hoax, then why have Diverse Witch #4 or Kitty Forman in the coven if neither had powers? I guess the no-prize explanation is that Agatha didn't care and was just going to kill them along with the others. Maybe Kitty Forman was just a placeholder to convince the other witches that the Witch's Road was legitimate, and I guess Diverse Witch #4 sort of had powers anyway, despite being bound.
@EvanBerry. "Maybe Kitty Forman was just a placeholder to convince the other witches that the Witch's Road was legitimate" Basically this. The revelation in the end was basically sort of ironic that it insults the intelligence of woman/witches....its shown that throughout the ages, Agatha has been able to mock and kill 4-5 witches at once every time she did the witches road scam with just some insults, who show no restraint and just blast Agatha, and that even the modern day witches were so gullible, she could convince them a human with a slight motif of one of the 'qualifying witches' was enough to make the ceremony work. And that's proven correct when she brings Kitty Forman, and the witches actually believe Agatha that she qualifies and they start singing. Basically, the whole plot falls apart if literally anyone has higher then a lukewarm IQ. As for her reasoning, her choices was basically 1) to flee immediately without magic from the Salem Seven, or 2) see the combined might of the magic she steals from the witches, plus the unknown power of 'Teen' who could undo a Scarlet Witch spell on her, could allow her to fight off the Salem Seven enough to allow her to escape WITH magic. The first option was likely a race guaranteed to lose, and the second one relied on witches being as trigger happy as they were in the past. Although I likely put more thought into the second one then the actual writers did. Many of these witches were cursed or depowered or knew she could absorb magic directly. Sylvie would of just warned Alice not to blast her, and Agatha would get no powers. She just did the witches road so the plot could happen, where a 3rd option opens up via Billy's fake Witch's Road. At that point, Agatha was just playing it by ear.
Well, Wiccan did stuff without knowing how to do it, so that's a plus, but also a double edge sword because that leads him to be a walking Deux Ex Machina, every time they get cornered he could just solve the plot and not knowing how he did it. Yeah, that's an issue 🤔🤔. I don't think Lillia's plot was pull out from her ass, we got glimpses from her plot in previous episodes, she "time travel" but not in the traditional way, it was more like Everything Everywhere All at Once, but instead of "possesing" her alternate self, she was "possesing" her younger and older self just to see not to control, that's why she said random stuff, because she wasn't in control. Agatha being awful makes her a terrible main character, she is not complex enough to fill the role, they tried to make her more complex, but she end up more awful and one dimensional than before, hell, the idea of her getting power to revive her son not only could be a better idea, but also would make more sense because in Wandavision she was intrigued of the possibility of Wanda resurrecting dead people. But well, the show is not bad, but is full of flaws, too many plot holes, too many inconscistencies, too many plots that are irrelevant, we didn't even got answers to important questions. How Agatha got her unique set of powers? How she got the Dark Hold? What was the bid deal with the Salem Seven at the end? I could only theorize that she got her OP absorbing magic powers in her execution because Lady Death save her by giving her that power and she should've died that day, that's why Lady Death was after Agatha, but that's my theory. Again, the show is not awful, at least it's not She Hulk, but it's not the best thing ever, it's meh. I didn't hated it at least.
@MaxEdrox We know they can shape shift into animals. We don't know what makes them so dangerous other than them being creepy witches set on revenge who behave animalistic. The difference with the Salem 7 vs another coven is they are feral vs other covens are just a group of somewhat like-minded witches who team up. The Salem 7 are animalistic and rabid. Other covens are human-like and can be reasoned with or convinced to not maul Agatha like beasts I guess. Agatha can't reason with or manipulate the Salem 7 unlike other witches she can convince to spare her.
The castle isn't because its Disney. Its because Lilia HATES stereotypes, its her trial is just to annoy her. And all the dresses mean something about the person wearing them.
No Lilia isn't quantum leaping. She's seeing visions of the future, she is a psychic. She just experienced them in a fuge state aka doesn't remember them much. It's not time travel, just seeing the future.
Wiccan was dressed as maleficent because like maleficent he wanted to be party of the coven but was treated as an outsider, a familiar. There is a reason for it. You can like the reason or not, that's your choice. But the reason exists nevertheless. Maleficent only put the curse on sleeping beauty because she wasn't invited to the kings party, she was treated as an outsider. Billy didn't think he was part of the coven, just Agatha's sidekick. But then roles are reversed when Agatha in the last EP is revealed to be Billy's sidekick or spirit guide
If Disney really, really wanted to make Wandavision (I wouldn't have) and cast Agatha as the antagonist, then make a spin-off series about her (again, I wouldn't), then here's how I would've done it: Agatha is broken out of her "Agnes" trance by a runaway fledgling wizard named Billy Kaplan, who tells her that he suddenly woke up one day with a strange text seemingly tattooed on his arm and that his magic directed him towards her. As it turns out, it is actually a page from the Grimorium Verum, the Darkhold's "sister" and a tome powerful enough to open a gateway to the Nether and summon the demon Mephisto. They soon find themselves being hunted down by the Salem Seven, a septet of powerful magic users who are also Agatha's grandchildren. They work for Nicholas Scratch, Agatha's son, who is a warlock and the mayor of New Salem, a hidden town of spell-casters that has spent the last few centuries hiding from the rest of the world. As we later discover, Agatha left New Salem years ago in search of the Darkhold and her journey led to her committing many atrocities. Scratch, who in this version is an almost Magneto-like figure, believes that his mother's quest for the book has endangered the inhabitants of New Salem, not just because of what she's done but also because it was partially her magic that was keeping the town's illusionary barrier up and without her, it keeps malfunctioning and leading to more and more people on the outside discovering New Salem's existence. Agatha and Billy discover that other young magic users have been imprinted with pages of the Grimorium Verum and decide to track them down before the Seven finds them first. The others include Jennifer Kale, Sebastian Ludgate, Jericho Drumm, and Amanda Sefton.
So... in the comics, Thanos kills the whole universe in an attempt to woo Death. I guess only snapping half got him ignored. But also, didn't he curse Deadpool to never die so he could never be with Death? Again, I feel this rendition of Death would ignore DP.
Honestly, I'm not really sure. It wasn't explained, just implied. I THINK Agatha was killing witches to keep her son alive, but if that was the deal, it was made silently.
15:33 Did he look in the mirror and see all the people who traveled on the road with him in the reflection and then they were there in the room with him and they danced while a David Bowie song played?
The whole out-of-sequence time jumping plotpoint is a straight up rip-off of that very same plotpoint that was used in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 5. And before you ask, yes, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. did it better. Not surprising
Additionally, in the last episode Agatha tricks, and kills several witches, some of which are black, even worse because those black witches would be alive during slavery, which means at some point most of them or slaves, which are subjected to horrible things like rape and torture.
Mistress Death, the “sister” of Galactus and Eternity, three of the most powerful entities in existence below the Living Tribunal, is supposed to be in a love triangle with Deadpool and Thanos. What is all of this?
22:48 "(Lady Death) can do better." Hells yeah! In the comics, she had Thanos, the Mad Titan, following her around like a puppy dog... but did she APPRECIATE him? Nooooo... It's like Lady Death was Jerry Hall and she dumped Rupert Murdoch (Thanos) to go back to Bryan Ferry (Agatha)! The woman has no taste! Death of the Endless is so much a better representation of... death than Lady Death.
Lilia put the sigil on Billy because Wanda or death would've been after him the moment he possessed Kaplan's body. Lilia gave him time to get his bearings and find out who he is before meeting death or wanda
@@thoriasunlimited4053 How can we be sure if that, he didn't even know who he was? Death could've easily told him to come with her and he wouldn't have known better after his car accident. @@MamaMOB Depends, from a certain point of view. You could view it as: Option A: Lilia co-conspired in Billy controlling William Kaplan's deceased body and taking over his life Or Option B: Lilia basically was a mid-wife and mother like figure who helped Billy be reborn and enjoy having time to grow up gaining a 2nd life. Billy and William were both SUPPOSED to die. Or Wanda was SUPPOSED to have gotten Billy after the events of Wandavision. Lilia prevented Wanda AND Death from noticing him and allowed him time to avoid both of them until he learned more about himself.

Even as fan of redemption arcs I cannot see Agatha as anything but a evil being. I mean I now love Negan (TWD) the man who killed brutally two of my favorite characters Abraham and Glenn. Yet they did such a good job showing this man going from a narcissistic dictator of the Saviors to a redeemed man trying to move on with what was left to live for, Agatha being redeemed is like Alpha being redeemed. Oh sure she cut heads off of people still alive, tortured others, murdered her own husband, tormented Carol especially, but... she LOVED her daughter Lydia. 🙄 Also, Lady Death needs to get with Deadpool already. She wouldnbe treated so much better by Wade Wilson. Let Gagatha rot in the darkness she craves. Also, while I didn't hate Wiccan, the actor needs to work out more before I truly see him in that role. She's literally a serial killer that shows no remorse for her actions and yet we're still supossed to feel sympathy for her? I like Death and Wiccan though but ultimately this show was yet another MCU disappointment.
The entire show is so pointless. In future if Agatha showed up in anything they could've just mentioned how she got her powers back.. It was more about Wiccan than Agatha.
I'm pretty sure the "you saved one!" Comment was about tommy, not kale. And yeah, wiccan is one of the strongest characters in all of marvel (stronger than both his parents). Doing him, like his mother, is always going to be a catch 22 between making him comics accurately OP and being easy to write. It's a real superman problem in that all struggles have to be something internal like moral, emotional, and psychological - as you can't rely on external clashes alone.
Salem 7 arent villians tbh thats why there is no focus on them. Their whole appeal is visual, something weird. More so Agatha's past catching up with her. The tower didn't reverse, Lilia reversed it to kill them because hey if she's gonna die why not just take them out with her.
So a really shitty show gets slightly less shitty by the end, not gonna really win anybody over with that Marvel ... the MCU and its vestigial TV sidekick shows are as good as dead, and it didn't even require Lady Death for that to happen 😅
4:09 they did not “pull a plot point out of their ass” the plot point about her seeing her life out of order is genuinely one of the best bits of writing in the entire show because it is set up all the way from episode 2 with the dementia moments. You can’t say that they didn’t set it up when the entire episode is pointing out how this plot point was set up throughout the entire series. 5:15 that’s because it isn’t time travel her consciousness is travelling back into her previous body there is no time travel and nothing is changing whatsoever.
@@James_Beewell it’s not full time travel because she only ever goes back for a few seconds and she can’t change anything because what she did then she always did because it was always her mind in the body at that moment. So his point of time travel is illogical since it doesn’t act like time travel and doesn’t allow for the alteration of the future
Agatha was just unlikable and that’s a huge problem. Like not in a charming way or well-written way. Take Walter White. He’s egotistical, he’s manipulative, a liar. But we like him because the performance is done well and the writing is too. Either Kathryn Hahn just isn’t that good, or the writing wasn’t that good.
Ding on both counts. Katheryn Hahn doesn’t have a tenth of the talent Bryan Cranston has, able to handle comedy and drama (his Hal is still one of the best tv dads) that’s ever been.
@fishjones4618 Okay but is it just a matter of having the talent to pull off the performance? I guess what I'm asking is it an acting problem or writing problem? Is it because Hahn isn't as good an actor enough to do the performance OR is it a problem from the writers?
@@Thed538dhsk Both. Look at people like Billy Zane. He played a relatively bit part in a terrible show called Charmed, but he added inflections and gestures to give life to a terrible script. A good actor can't save terrible writing, but he can make a moderately memorable character in an otherwise terrible show. Likewise, a bad actor can kill good writing. Hahn doesn't have the chops and the writing is godawful.
@WhiteManOnCampus What could she do better in her performance to have made the character of Agatha be better? What do you feel the writers could've done to make the character of Agatha be better written?

I liked the show but the whole preaching the importance of Covens /sisterhoods felt counter productive. I liked the other witches but I think the show would’ve worked better with just Agatha and Wiccan
What are you talking about? The last episode clearly shows Agatha thinks nothing of covens/sisterhoods. How did you take that message from the show? I guess the other witches learn that but this "sisterhood" is what helped them almost all die? How would this show work if it were only Agatha and Teen tho? Would ep 2 just be them conjuring the road themselves with none of the other witches? Then there wouldn't be any stakes because nothing could kill them but with the other witches each trail has stakes since witches die from the trials. It'd be like Halloween with none of Laurie's friends being killed by Meyers, the film is ONLY Mike Meyers and Laurie Strode
@ That’s what I meant, this show kept having a subplot about the importance of covens but it was all for nothing. And what I meant was maybe the show should’ve just been about Agatha & Wiccan with a different plot instead of the witches road. I did like all of the actresses on this show but again if their whole point was that coven plot it does almost make everything they went through feel pointless whereas the stuff with Agatha & Billy at least felt like it had a somewhat satisfying conclusion
@patrickmcguire7896 I wouldn't say the coven subplot is ALL for nothing. It does serve the purpose of paralleling Wiccan to Agatha. As he says in the last EP, he tends to kill his coven mates just like Agatha does. The difference between them is he feels bad and didn't do it on purpose whereas Agatha has. What plot do you feel would service the character Agatha and Wiccan better? Or even service the other witches better too?
I'm fine with agatha not being a good person she's not supposed to be it's just the bad story that bothers me were supposed to be following a villain and not a redemption tell or a heroic one as for the scratch thing that was her saying the father was the demon
Telling a story about a villain would be one thing - hell, The Penguin made it work - but if that's the case, you need to own it. The writers seem to want Agatha to be kind of the hero of this story and they apparently don't understand how hateable she is.
I really enjoyed the show most of the time, despite of much of the stupidity in it that you mentioned. As someone who's really into witchcraft and the esoteric things in general, it was a fun ride. Really hope to see Deadpool and Lady Death together.

Scratch could be a name for Mephisto, making Nicholaus a half devil. Is Agatha old as a ghost? That’s a callback to an arc in comics.
It could have been much worse. They wanted Hulkling originally as a love interest of Wiccan but Marvel said no. Thank god. The series had a few interesting points for the MCU but it wasn’t worth watching. Thanks for watching, heh.
Which is weird since Hulkling and Wiccan are married in the comics. Not to mention, it would score easy ESG points for having a gay couple in their show.
@@carljensen333 Jac Schaffer knows fuck all and doesn’t care about Mephisto. She just wanted to do her wine mom buddy dramedy and needed the Marvel brand to get it made.
This was another woman's therapy session that we got to see. Again.
Agatha was practicing Dark Magic and sucking other witches' power long before Nicky was born. In wandavision she killed the salemites and who knows how many more witches she killed before Nicky.
The only love of Lady Death is Deadpool now we can have Audrey in Deadpool
We sort of got mistress death. Thats a thing.
Kinda odd she would show up no and not earlier when half the world died for five years. Shouldn't she be pissed at the Hulk for bringing them back?

Wiccan, sympathetic? Not even a little
I wonder why, if Agatha's intention in gathering a coven was to steal their powers by means of the Witch's Road hoax, then why have Diverse Witch #4 or Kitty Forman in the coven if neither had powers?
I guess the no-prize explanation is that Agatha didn't care and was just going to kill them along with the others. Maybe Kitty Forman was just a placeholder to convince the other witches that the Witch's Road was legitimate, and I guess Diverse Witch #4 sort of had powers anyway, despite being bound.
That is an excellent question.
@EvanBerry. "Maybe Kitty Forman was just a placeholder to convince the other witches that the Witch's Road was legitimate"
Basically this.

Lady Death is another character, she is Mistress Death... In theory...
Since DC screwed up their version of Death In Netflix’s Sandman, Marvel felt it was their turn now.
This show can't be cancelled enough.
"Who is Nicholas Scratch's father?"
(i wanted it to be Mephisto)
@@budgiecat9039he seemingly has no father. A fatherless birth which kinda parallels Wanda who made her kids "from scratch".
We did learn the big deal about the Salem 7, they were the kids Agatha spared from her original coven
@@Thed538dhskyeah, but what they can do? What makes them so dangerous? What's different from any other random coven?
@MaxEdrox We know they can shape shift into animals.
We don't know what makes them so dangerous other than them being creepy witches set on revenge who behave animalistic.
The difference with the Salem 7 vs another coven is they are feral vs other covens are just a group of somewhat like-minded witches who team up. The Salem 7 are animalistic and rabid. Other covens are human-like and can be reasoned with or convinced to not maul Agatha like beasts I guess. Agatha can't reason with or manipulate the Salem 7 unlike other witches she can convince to spare her.
Hey can you react to the daredevil trailer I want to hear your thoughts
The castle isn't because its Disney. Its because Lilia HATES stereotypes, its her trial is just to annoy her. And all the dresses mean something about the person wearing them.
No Lilia isn't quantum leaping. She's seeing visions of the future, she is a psychic. She just experienced them in a fuge state aka doesn't remember them much. It's not time travel, just seeing the future.
She literally changes things in the future and the past. That is magical time travel.
So who's the more morally compromised: Batwoman or Billy? Agatha is just a serial killer, after all.
Batwoman. At least Billy feels bad (sometimes) when he does bad things.
Scratch is another name for the devil, old scratch, nick scratch

Wait, Lady Death and Deadpool are a thing in Marvel Comics. Wonder if that's going to come up moving forward.
no. Death is a thing in Deadpool. Lady Death is a busty white skinned babe from an independent comic and owned by Brian Pulido.

Wait so she has to kill witches daily to keep her son alive? Or death just punked her on that one day like a monkeys paw?
And how many of them were indentured servants and white that you don't care about? You know not everything has to be about black people right?
Mistress Death, the “sister” of Galactus and Eternity, three of the most powerful entities in existence below the Living Tribunal, is supposed to be in a love triangle with Deadpool and Thanos. What is all of this?
Pretty sure that Jac Shaeffer has said that she's not following the comics, so stuff like this was to be expected.
Ghost Agatha? Ghagatha? Neat.😂
So Lady Death was a simp for her 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lilia put the sigil on Billy because Wanda or death would've been after him the moment he possessed Kaplan's body. Lilia gave him time to get his bearings and find out who he is before meeting death or wanda
So she co-conspired in his literal identity theft? Gross.
But even if she hadn't, Death still wouldn't be able to do anything. She said she needed him to come willingly and he wasn't about to do that.
@@thoriasunlimited4053 How can we be sure if that, he didn't even know who he was? Death could've easily told him to come with her and he wouldn't have known better after his car accident. He couldn't read Rio's mind during this series or Agatha's. He was frightened, confused, and vulnerable to have listened to Rio after the car accident.
@@MamaMOB Depends, from a certain point of view. You could view it as:
Option A: Lilia co-conspired in Billy controlling William Kaplan's deceased body and taking over his life
Or
Option B: Lilia basically was a mid-wife and mother like figure who helped Billy be reborn and enjoy having time to grow up gaining a 2nd life.
Billy and William were both SUPPOSED to die. Or Wanda was SUPPOSED to have gotten Billy after the events of Wandavision. Lilia prevented Wanda AND Death from noticing him and allowed him time to avoid both of them until he learned more about himself.
Sacred balance.

Wait but the son of Agatha(at least in the comics)is the one who founded the Salem Seven, why bring him up if they're already gone?
AY UP THORIAS
Even as fan of redemption arcs I cannot see Agatha as anything but a evil being. I mean I now love Negan (TWD) the man who killed brutally two of my favorite characters Abraham and Glenn. Yet they did such a good job showing this man going from a narcissistic dictator of the Saviors to a redeemed man trying to move on with what was left to live for, Agatha being redeemed is like Alpha being redeemed. Oh sure she cut heads off of people still alive, tortured others, murdered her own husband, tormented Carol especially, but... she LOVED her daughter Lydia. 🙄
Also, Lady Death needs to get with Deadpool already. She wouldnbe treated so much better by Wade Wilson. Let Gagatha rot in the darkness she craves. Also, while I didn't hate Wiccan, the actor needs to work out more before I truly see him in that role. R.I.P Kitty Foreman hopefully Red Foreman will stick his foot up Agatha's ass in revenge.
Yes. And Red needs to call her a dumbass too. Agatha definitely earned that one.

I liked the episode before two last ones
So a really shitty show gets slightly less shitty by the end, not gonna really win anybody over with that Marvel ... the MCU and its vestigial TV sidekick shows are as good as dead, and it didn't even require Lady Death for that to happen 😅

Thank you for suffering for us.
How could Agatha have been better depicted in the show for you to make her more like Walter White, a likable evil person?

I don't know why this show is so popular... straight 🗑 to me 🤷♂️
I liked the show but the whole preaching the importance of Covens /sisterhoods felt counter productive.
