Im not convinced on the bone break visual, i think a difference in animation (with fracture having a slight limp and bonebreak walking in a crippled fashion) is enough. Having the bone split in half sticking 90⁰ out of the leg looks too goofy to me, but i love the idea of the new BB mechanic

I think the bone break visuals are a bit to extreme, not in a way of " Eeew its so hard to look at ! " , but more like the bone just sticks out to the point of the animal doesnt look like it should even be limping at that point. And it heals way to fast, which for balance is great, but it visually makes it look like that ano stabbed that conca and it's now sliding inside slowly
i personally love the idea of a refresh on the bonebreak mechanics. it makes bonebreak less of a total death sentence for the victim while also adding to the strategy a bonebreaker needs to commit to. sometimes bonebreak feels like an easy to spam attack until the person is stuck in infinite bonebreak, completely crippled then they go in for the easy kill. i like the idea of forcing players to be a little bit smarter about it. i think itd also be really cool to add a scale to it. say youre a t-rex and you bonebreak something much smaller like a styra, that should do WAY more fracture or even straight up break their bones like the og bonebreak did. but if t-rex bonebreaks another large dino like a bars, it should take more time. that way a rex is rewarded greatly for its skill in ambushing and landing a BB bite on a smaller, faster target. while it needs to be strategic with stamina and stealth for larger targets. and an ano should be able to totally bust the bones of a raptor but have to get a few more wacks in for a rex. again, rewarding timing and aim for smaller targets and then rewarding patience and strategy for larger targets.
Great that we're finally getting bone break mechanic changes but my lord the new visuals are goofy. We went from potato chips floating around to literal bones just sticking out of your torso... If that were to actually happen you'd just be dead in minutes if not seconds. What about just a new animation set with increased limping all the way up to full bone break status?
Tbf, I think each dino uses unique walk animations. Tweaking each one could be a lengthy time process, and this is at least a quick way to give universal visual feedback. I agree it looks a bit goofy tho
It does look goofy and I feel like they make these visuals for either stupid people who need very large indicators for damage or just kids so it’s easier for them to understand lol

Amazing work you have been doing😄 Something I feel needs some love is aquatics so I would love if you made some underground tunnelling system that connects the sea to the rivers so you can interact with other players cuz the ocean in Gondwa is so empty and getting to some of the rivers and lakes takes so much effort and is very risky. Also more dynamic aquatic ai would also help making it feel more alive. Otherwise just keep doing such a good job and maybe give thal an tlc cuz it’s kit is very basic but there are others that needs tlc first of course.

bonebreak needed a change. its kind of bs to be completely crippled with one hit. and more bs to have that stacked so many times you're basically stuck in infinite bonebreak til you die. lookin at ano and dasp. i bet they lower the cooldown on a lot of bonebreak attacks.

@@KendooXDmaybe I phrased it badly, this is good because now the devs can actually expand bonebreak as a more fleshed out mechanic instead of just the ultimate win condition via one tricky attack (not saying that’s completely terrible), but now the Dino’s that use bone break can possibly recieve other buffs to make them far more interesting. Of course if no rework beyond this occurs, I would call this sucky, but I’ve got faith that the devs know that and can make up with some new stuff

There should be the feature to be able to grab smaller dinosaurs and dead bodies like if they are to big to swallow you can't just swallow then but you can drop them to eat them
I like the changes to bone break, but the visual is immersion breaking for me. I'm hoping that it's just exaggerated for now while the fine tuning is worked out. It looks pretty weird in its current state.
The bone break visuals are nice but the way it works is seriously going to affect the herbivores and carnivores that depend on it negatively because of how the game already works. Rexes are ambush predators and need bone break to slow their prey after ambushing, they can't chase much, that's the purpose of the instant slowing that's caused by it, the less punishing part about it was that it never lasted long and dinosaurs had defensive abilities that helped reduce the amount of time bone break lasted. Anodonto can no-longer depend on bone break to escape or to immobilize their hunter temporarily. The hunker down is still an issue against dinosaurs that cause knockback and apex predators who can tank the hunker down ability. I sincerely hope we can see some TLC to dinosaurs that do bone break in the future, and the Bone break passive abilities...
100% agree with you. however if you been with this game for a good amount of time you will know they balance their game around zergs/clans and not solo or very small groups

It's so weird because mass majority hate it and yet they're still going with the mixpack and mixherd brawl kind of game instead of roleplay survival (which is what they originally strived for in the beginning of development.) anos have been completely immune to knockback(while hunkered) for a while now. if you hunker and build up your fracture instead of tail slam them, you should be able to flee still. but im assuming this change will force ano players to be a little more strategic than that.

I think it’ll be cool if you implement a mechanic where payable’s that can carry other Dino’s (sarco and hatz) can eat a corpse whole if they are small enough, like hatchlings and juvis up to a certain point, and depending on what Dino it is…cuz ur not swallowing a baby EO😂

Hopefully this does not ruin ambushing for Rex. Because if I pull off a really good ambush and break the bones of my target, they should not be able to trot away from me. If a Rex pulls off a good ambush, it should not be punished for it. And it’s charge a bite is super easy to dodge because it is so loud it is impossible to ambush while using it.
It is 100% going to ruin rex ambushing and bone break in general. You need to charge up attacks to break bones usually, and those charge attacks make you slower. Normally you get ONE hard-earned hit in and that's your one chance with bone break. You need to get multiple hits in now. Not only sacrificing DPS but also giving your opponent a chance to recover in the meantime when you already struggled to get even one bone break in to begin with. Think about it. How often do you think you'll actually land enough bone breaks to sufficiently slow your opponent before they recover from the initial bone break?
@@catpoke9557 Not to mention it might make ambushing someone in a group impossible. People already bodyblock a groupmate that's gotten bone broken. If the fractures are minimal speed decreases then people will block you while their friend walks off with a mild limp. Good luck catching up with bb attacks chunking your stam

I see a lot of people defending the bone break visual. Its not a matter of it being gory for me, it just seems... uncharacteristically goofy. Its 100% a fun idea but I hope they tone down the way it sticks out because it doesn't look, well, amazing as it is right now. For a number of reasons.
I don't understand making bonebreak less powerful. The devs are clearly not against disabling abilities, for example, Miragaia slows your movement speed by up to 20% until eventual full paralysis by just taking hits, even from tail attacks. This ability is not a skill shot and is an anti-fun passive that just makes it crazy in team fights. However, besides Ano (which has major design issues) the only way to inflict bonebreak is through bonesnap or crushing bite. Dasp only has bone snap which already slows your sprint speed by 10%, costs stamina, makes a ton of noise to use, and takes a long time to charge. Dasp will take a huge hit for this change, its bonebreak damage was also recently reduced from 30 to 10, making it even less rewarding to use. There is another thing that must be mentioned, for some reason, safer classes are becoming more powerful. Struthi is combat-viable now for some reason while being near untouchable due to its speed. It can let its passive defense stack and trade blows with things it shouldn't. Hatz is another major issue right now, it can land on whatever it wants and reduce their damage by 20% for free while dishing huge damage and spinning like a top with its top-tier (best in-game) precision movement. These super safe yet combat-viable classes simply don't have anything to check them, bonebreak is one of the tools that could be used for this. However, it seems the days of viable bonebreak are short. The developers can't stand the idea of it for some reason and I don't understand why. Cerato was one of the most fun classes in the game with Bonebreak. It could punish annoying, fleeting classes that just want to scream in your ear and annoy you until you just log off the game. Now Dasp only deserves 10 seconds for a full charge bone-snap? Its unreal to me because its one of the most telegraphed abilities in the game. Bonebreak is actually very healthy for the game if done correctly, it allows safe classes to be more powerful because they are more counterable. I worry without something to check this new meta, it will take over the game as it is beginning to.

Since the new roaming ai, I’ve always wondered if it would be possible to add a grabbing mechanic for ai? For example, I’d like to play as a hatz, and when i see a critter I’d like to grab it with clamp and swallow it there and then instead of running after it. It would really be a nice quality of life change.

Dasp shouldn’t be 10% slower with bb bite then it’d nerf him a little too much since you’ll have to land a few times to get the full effect now

Not only sacrificing DPS but also giving your opponent a chance to recover in the meantime when you already struggled to get even one bone break in to begin with.
Think about it. How often do you think you'll actually land enough bone breaks to sufficiently slow your opponent before they recover from the initial bone break?
@@catpoke9557 Not to mention it might make ambushing someone in a group impossible. People already bodyblock a groupmate that's gotten bone broken. If the fractures are minimal speed decreases then people will block you while their friend walks off with a mild limp. Good luck catching up with bb attacks chunking your stam
@ facts, but, this might open the door for a Rex tlc that specializes in different bonebreak attacks. And personally, I feel like facetank should be passive. But maybe with other options for the passive slot too.

Whelp. As it was I already couldn't justify equipping bone break on my Rex when that would mean sacrificing either DPS or face tank. I guess this seals the deal 😆
Bonebreak gave the rex the ability to ambush and kill things that don't die in one or two hits, not a thing anymore with this update.
@jamesholcombe675 Yeah I know. The issue is actually sneaking up on them as a Rex. Either way, as you said that won't be a thing now. I hope Rex gets some kind of buff. He needs it.
So now you’ll need to land multiple bone breaks with a Rex on a smaller target, when it’s already pretty hard to land in the first place
Well they do significantly slow down, and if you're skilled enough to hit it once you'll probably have more luck doing it again when they're slower

I see a lot of people defending the bone break visual. Its not a matter of it being gory for me, it just seems... uncharacteristically goofy. Its 100% a fun idea but I hope they tone down the way it sticks out because it doesn't look, well, amazing as it is right now. For a number of reasons.

I don't understand making bonebreak less powerful. The devs are clearly not against disabling abilities, for example, Miragaia slows your movement speed by up to 20% until eventual full paralysis by just taking hits, even from tail attacks. This ability is not a skill shot and is an anti-fun passive that just makes it crazy in team fights. However, besides Ano (which has major design issues) the only way to inflict bonebreak is through bonesnap or crushing bite. Dasp only has bone snap which already slows your sprint speed by 10%, costs stamina, makes a ton of noise to use, and takes a long time to charge. Dasp will take a huge hit for this change, its bonebreak damage was also recently reduced from 30 to 10, making it even less rewarding to use.
There is another thing that must be mentioned, for some reason, safer classes are becoming more powerful. Struthi is combat-viable now for some reason while being near untouchable due to its speed. It can let its passive defense stack and trade blows with things it shouldn't. Hatz is another major issue right now, it can land on whatever it wants and reduce their damage by 20% for free while dishing huge damage and spinning like a top with its top-tier (best in-game) precision movement. These super safe yet combat-viable classes simply don't have anything to check them, bonebreak is one of the tools that could be used for this. However, it seems the days of viable bonebreak are short. The developers can't stand the idea of it for some reason and I don't understand why. Cerato was one of the most fun classes in the game with Bonebreak. It could punish annoying, fleeting classes that just want to scream in your ear and annoy you until you just log off the game. Now Dasp only deserves 10 seconds for a full charge bone-snap? Its unreal to me because its one of the most telegraphed abilities in the game. Bonebreak is actually very healthy for the game if done correctly, it allows safe classes to be more powerful because they are more counterable. I worry without something to check this new meta, it will take over the game as it is beginning to.

Since the new roaming ai, I’ve always wondered if it would be possible to add a grabbing mechanic for ai? For example, I’d like to play as a hatz, and when i see a critter I’d like to grab it with clamp and swallow it there and then instead of running after it. It would really be a nice quality of life change.
