    This is, by far, the channel of the year for me. I’m so glad I stumbled upon it. The production style, how you explain things and the overall quality is top notch. Keep up the great work!!

    I’ve been woodworking for over 45 years and have used every finish known to man - at least, it feels like it. Spraying is fine except for the health and safety issues. For all interior pieces, I now only use hard wax oil - specifically 2 pack Natura Onecoat. Great durability, fast cure, no VOC, food safe, toy safe, Martian safe. And, per square metre, very economical. The Wood Whisperer rated it as his overall winner in a recent review. I can see why

    Looks great! I really enjoy your videos! How do you attach your base and tabletop? Do you use buttons for something that large? Thanks!

      Screws in a cleat or inlay an aluminum plate into the top

    What is your theory of not joining the pieces together with domino's and glue, preferring instead to leave the seam?

    • @KeithNewtonWoodworking
      @KeithNewtonWoodworking  19 дней назад

      The seam will separate about 50 percent of the time. So this is a optical solution

    As a sole proprietor, how do you transport and deliver your larger pieces?

    • @KeithNewtonWoodworking
      @KeithNewtonWoodworking  19 дней назад

      I hire a moving company that operates in California from San Francisco area. It costs about 300 to 600. That last one was on the 3rd floor and when the movers got there the elevator was out. Money well spent.

    How did you make one side of the base turn but the other not turn (explained at 3:40)

    • @AKdesignsandhardwoods
      @AKdesignsandhardwoods 21 день назад +1

      there is play in the center support as you can see how easy it slides in and the gap at the top (a large loose tenon). Add that to the flexible nature of wood and you will have a self contouring base. each side can allow movement to compensate for any surface within reason.

      The stretcher is not a tight fit.
