I played a hole with Ronan in around 1992 when visited Birley Wood in Sheffield. To this day, it was something I remember well and cherished the experience as a 12 year old where he gave a morning of tuition followed by everyone playing a hole with him!

I played machrihanish Dunes last year and like Roman I fell in love with the course stunning fun to play and did not want to leave the course probably the most fun I have ever had on a golf course

I heard that from Turnberry the drive to Macrahanish is six hours, or you can just take a ferry and get there in one hour.

I think that Ronan Rafferty retired rather early from the regular European golf tour due to injures.
