This elderly woman that had the face of an angel, and seemed really familiar, I never asked her name, gave me this crochet blanket that looked like my art (weird) and we spent a brief time together like she was the good fairy-grandmother. The last time I saw her she was asleep as if a splayed corpse from medical sedation, laying in what looked like a crime scene of objects on the floor and spilt tea, face down, but I knew she was still smiling. The blanket, she said, was crocheted by her and her friends and reminds me of the AIDS memorial at my local Art centre during the heights of COVID, or Corona (unlike a dizzying crane). And the Lebanese were the front line workers helping the gay men during that pandemic. 😊
