Doing no pan left behind is making me realize I have too many colorful palettes that I don’t want to stand out at work in haha but atleast things are getting loved and used 💕
Yes I learned that last year and now rarely buy them.
I have 42 palettes in my collection, so I try to spread out my usage to get at least 5 uses on each one a year. I put painters tape on the back of the palette and make a tick with a sharpie each time I use it. It is a fun project for me, as I need variety in my life. 😊
That’s a great idea! I hope to one day have a smaller amount of palettes. That number seems good to me
Cyborg in Sultry is such a pretty silver that leans kind of lavender. Love that palette!

I’ve done 1 week, 1 palette. That made me realize palettes that I really enjoy using and shades I really enjoy and which palettes I like more looking at them than actually using them. So really taught what to buy.

I think that quarterly updates make sense. Gives you plenty of time to get a lot of uses (or to not get a lot of uses and think about why). Would love to see example looks as you talk about each palette (I am extremely interested in seeing how the satins look for example).
Do you have a goal for how many palettes you want to go through in this project this year?

Yup I’m aware of that and when I presented it to my members I did say I have the star palette in the mix. It won so I’m ok with it. It works for those days I don’t want to jump around the larger palette. No big deal for me 😁
I’ve never tried Viseart, that palette is pretty! I love the Sultry palette! I plan on using it tomorrow. It is definitely not a palette that I get tired of either! Same with the original ABH Norvina, love it!
Some are so good they stand the test of time
I love seeing higher end make up being used. People really avoid it and it drives me crazy!

Hi Alex, I would love some advice on how to mix in silver into an eye look. I find it hard to find complementary colours for silver.
I found purples greens and burgundy compliment it the best. Depending on the shade is silver you can pick those colors to match its tone. So if you have a cool toned silver cooler toned greens purples and burgundy will look great. Play with it before you wash your face at night. That’s what I do.

Ive just my star pallete so much in the past two years, im on 100+ uses. Like you mention there is just some shades ive only used a couple times, they dont pull me in. I think its great that youre changing stuff to fit your own style!

Even though I have a small eyeshadow palette collection, I started the same process a few months ago and I learned a lot about what I liked, what I naturally tend to gravitate towards and more importantly, what my fantasy self love but wouldn't use if I didn't challenge myself to do so.
I was afraid of getting into project panning because I get bored quickly so giving myself usage goals rather than pan goals is the perfect balance for me.
I also love the fact that you took a step back and reduced the number of palettes in your rotation so you can feel more at ease :)
Thank you for sharing this update because I'm sure it will inspire people to enjoy the process of using what they have (which also helps to not buy everything and anything) without putting too much pressure on themselves to reach their goals before a set deadline.
I’m so glad I was able to help. When I first started panning years ago I felt the pressure of having the fastest and most pans and I wanted to change that. I’m happy with just using what I have and realizing some things take a long time to pan.
This video has me considering doing this myself. It's a great idea and I'd love to see what my trends are. Love it! ❤

It really is! It’s easy to use
I'm trying to use up more some very particular lip products (they are all light blue XD) without looking like I have been left in the snow for a few days. So far... not too great XD Maybe this summer I'll use the light blues, right now I'm using purples and some pastels like YaDig??? from Fenty Beauty. If I only had my loyal Nocturne from Sugarpill (I panned it), it was the perfect base for the shimmery light blue gloss I'm trying to use up more X'D Lipglosses are harder for me to pan because I canot reapply them on top of lipsticks without disrupting their formula and on top of naked lips they often look weird (I want my lips to pop more).

I’ve been tracking usage on all my palettes since 2021 and it has been VERY eye-opening. You learn so much about what it takes to actually pan shades, what you gravitate toward within a palette, etc.
Was that the video/poll that had the KVD palette as an option? That’s the only one I can think of and I’ll be ticked off I missed a vote! 🤣 (By my own mistake of course.)
