Video explaining the mods and showing how to shim the main jet needles with the carbs still on the bike - ruclips.net/video/kxmnrv2CjsI/видео.html Edit: I later changed the foam Ram Air filter to a K&N filter, less engine internal noise and still has a release for fumes or entry for clean air with the Reed Valves open,
Hi there buddy, Nice to hear the ZX9R is running a lot sweeter and the weather is on us bikers side atm... Bike looks mint btw.. Nice video too... Stay Safe and happy riding...
Thanks, it certainly has improved, can't wait to experience full throttle in 1st gear. In my next vid I get to really open it up, but still didn't dare try a first gear pull 😎👍
Yes mate, still unsure if I'm going to do anything about the filter meaning I hear the engine internals up front. It might just tbecome part of its character, like a dry clutch on a Ducati 😁
@@veeken777 definitely worth doing witthe +4 ignition advancer etc too. Doubt jetting carbs is needed, and changing gearing as some do is extreme imho.
Oh you're here too 😁 yea it sounds different on camera than in person, it's engine noise through the little ramair filter. I've also been for a better ride since this and it is awesome to ride, haven't dared do a first gear pull yet 😂
you can get blockoff plates for the reeve valves and joining the pipes losing that thing make it loud.Ive did it.You can buy Dyno jet kits or just there main jets.Or a size up on your mukini jets.Whilst you've increase the fuel you may get bogs and need adjust float height in carb bowls to compadre the supply.
Yea I know mate, didn't want to block it off, although I did just block the pipes first, then decided best to join up with the crankcase breather when I removed that from the airbox (last video) . No need for me to get dynojet kit as there is plenty of adjustment on the originals. I will adjust the air and fuel to get it right for the mods, but it's pretty much there if not spot on already as most mods done have complimented each other. I have a K&N filter Delkevic end can and link pipe, and a +4 ignition advancer, as well as these mods and shimming the main jet needles. It's a crazy beast of a bike 😁👍
Was a nice day, and the bike sounds good :) Gas prices are crazy. I did a conversion on what I saw on the pump in the video and (if I saw the price correctly at 1.69GBP per liter) it comes out to $8.44US per gallon. Where I live, our gas prices have doubled since Joe Biden stole the presidency, but we're currently at $4.50US per gallon (.90GBP per liter). Thank goodness we have our motorcycles. :)
It was a nice day mate, been having some great spring days, apparently getting cold and wet again this week. Yea fuel prices have been crazy, always hight anyway as fuel is highly taxed, then 20% at the pump too. Some stations have been up to at least £2 per litre recently due to the disruption in Europe, with supply being in more demand accros Europe.

Sounds smooth and sweet on pick , no flat spot 👍
Instant and strong in every gear, great fun and very quick 😎
Awesome, you have that warm feeling having worked on the bike and in the end gained extra power, life is good 👍🤗
😂 yes mate feels good 😁👍 🏍💨

Thanks bud 👍 It is a great bike and is going very well and strong, a better run with it coming soon. Ride safe 👍
Great to hear it is running better than it was.

Im quite in love with the Kawasaki Tick too
@@veeken777 I know what you mean, but I can now hear the engine internals through the ramair filter I added when I done the mods 👍

I will keep watching your experiment, Considering myself now.

Definitely sounding a bit different. Happy with the results?
