But I have visited New Psalmist Baptist Church on numerous occasions...even have family members who have memberships at New Psalmist. I love to listen to the preaching of Bishop Thomas....his sermons are awesome. But you are also correct that the flock of New Psalmist Baptist Church is very large and that most members do not have a personal spiritual relationship with the Head Pastor b/c of that very fact (which you have stated)....and for that reason I will not give up the membership of my home church to join New Psalmist. So I will forever remain a visitor of New Psalmist😊. Btw...I attended the funeral of the Honorable Congressman Elijah E. Cummings...so glad I did. I imagine, "Your will be done, on earth even as it is in heaven". For what us frail humans may perceive as tragedy, the creator may know to be triumph. At that moment he might of been reminded of the story of Christ hanging on the cross. How the crucifixion was a necessary part of God's plan for the redemption of mankind. As it is possible that your question was yet another opportunity for people of faith to be reminded to not be to concerned with who sits in the White house, but to know who sits on the throne. But I have visited New Psalmist Baptist Church on numerous occasions...even have family members who have memberships at New Psalmist. I love to listen to the preaching of Bishop Thomas....his sermons are awesome. But you are also correct that the flock of New Psalmist Baptist Church is very large and that most members do not have a personal spiritual relationship with the Head Pastor b/c of that very fact (which you have stated)....and for that reason I will not give up the membership of my home church to join New Psalmist. So I will forever remain a visitor of New Psalmist😊. Btw...I attended the funeral of the Honorable Congressman Elijah E. Cummings...so glad I did. I imagine, "Your will be done, on earth even as it is in heaven". For what us frail humans may perceive as tragedy, the creator may know to be triumph. At that moment he might of been reminded of the story of Christ hanging on the cross. How the crucifixion was a necessary part of God's plan for the redemption of mankind. As it is possible that your question was yet another opportunity for people of faith to be reminded to not be to concerned with who sits in the White house, but to know who sits on the throne.
