  • Air Power plays a vital role in the accomplishment of NATO's three core tasks: Collective Defence; Crisis Management; and Cooperative Security. It enhances NATO's deterrence and defence posture and its ability to contribute to the International Communities' effort to project stability.
Air and Space Power’s core attributes are speed, reach, and height. These enable and enhance its additional attributes of agility and the ability to concentrate force rapidly. In combination, these five attributes demonstrate Air Power’s flexibility as a highly versatile and responsive form of delivery for military effect and its cost effectiveness as a force multiplier. Therefore, Air Power provides NATO’s asymmetric military advantage.
