Thank you for actually demoing the pedal right! Those sounds are what the pedal is made for! I hate when pedal demos do some generic blues riff that doesnt fit the pedal. Great vid!
I bought an Enzo the minute they released and you are getting sounds out of this thing I haven't heard yet. This is such a good representation of how expansive this pedal is. Another gnarly job well done!
Thank you, hopefully I inspired you to find some new sounds in it! I figured there were enough demos showing the basics so I’d try to find and show other sounds
best demo of this pedal, you get some not so obvious sounds from it. somehow I feel your stuff is a very clear-minded approach. love these soundscapes. thx
Just got this two days ago. Didn’t know what I was doing with it, but every sound you’ve made in this video are reasons why I think Enzo will work for me. Thank you for making this video, what a great starting point for a noob.
Excellent exploration! I love that you went for the non obvious stuff like the envelope follower, ring mod, and darker filter settings. Also, what a great synth-verb sound. This makes me so happy. :)
Thanks so much! I figured the existing demos covered the obvious settings so I would see what else I could come up with and show off. The synth-verb might be my favorite sound I found!
Great demo! After looking at, listening to and trying so many "guitar synths" and synth pedals... I think the Enzo will suit my needs best. Thanks for a good idea on just how much this unit is capable of (and then some). Good clear explanations of how you're achieving the sounds. Thanks so much for sharing this!
Great demo. I loved the ThePedalZone one, and this complements it beautifully with sounds I never expected based on the very synth-focused demos out there. Great job.
The Pedal Zone one was what convinced me I needed this, so I’m glad this pairs with it well. I think between this, his, and Pedals and Effects all the range of this pedal is covered
This vid helped seal the deal for me. Just ordered one. Watched a few others and everyone seemed to dime the mix. The way you demoed is exactly how I’m hoping to use it. Thanks!
Any chance you could list your settings that you used. Especially the hidden alt ones? I’m trying to replicate your sound at 1:44 but can’t seem to nail it :)
Wow very cool, you nailed these sounds and all of the various patterns and possibilities. The sounds yo created are just astounding... This is the most amazing ENZO RUclips that I've heard and I'll be watching it many times over! Thank You so much....
The Enzo is really hard to understand, but I tell you what. That’s the kinda thing I really like about this little magic box. It feels like every time I go like „plug n‘ play“ I discover new functions of this pedal. Yeah you probably will get a bit frustrated, but if you let yourself thinking through you can create you own unique sound with this thing. The Enzo is my favorite pedal besides the Unusual EAS and the Raster V2 💜
Hopefully you’ll get some good use from it! Between my demo and The Pedal Zone’s (which is what made me buy this) you definitely know everything this can do. And it’ll pair so nicely with your Polymoon!
@@collectoremitter it's always good to have two well made demo's that are explored differently, especially with these Meris. Once again, cool demo! From a new subscriber 😉
Thank you! Very helpful, guess I will be purchasing. Wasn't sure about the effects side of this but your programming is very similar to how I would like to use it, bits of bubbling ambience and weirdness somewhat disconnected from the dry guitar. Good job.
Oh man i have so many questions..the pedal seems to be quite amazing but im kinda sceptical towards the over the top positive demos and for the fact that it is synth pedal, because so many other Synth pedals like the ehx synth 9 tracks like shit or starts farting when playing complex chords. So how is the meris enzo.. are there any flaws when it comes to tracking(16th notes) and playing complex chords ?.. Hope you or anybody can give me an honest answer..
I am always skeptical with synth pedals because they never fully do what I want or track perfectly. I think there are some flaws in the Enzo's tracking, which I mention in the video (and I bought this pedal for myself so I was not pressured to be overly positive), but it is easily the best tracking I've played in a pedal. It can do complex chords to a degree, but since it also picks up the harmonics it will sometimes play some wrong notes. And it can definitely do faster tracking, but the envelope doesn't retrigger if you're playing too fast. Overall its the best tracking I've seen, but not perfect (and I don't think synth pedals will ever get perfect tracking). Hopefully that helped!
@@hosenscheisser9 I use a compressor in front of it, which helps. But it's still not perfect, but not awful either. The monosynth tracks fast runs and bends well. Sometimes it'll interpret overtones of a note as notes for the arpeggiator or polysynth, with strange results. My Digitech Bass Synth Wah tracks better, but granted is also a much simpler pedal. Tracking is better above the 7th fret.
I honestly don’t remember what the alt-controls were set like there, but the knobs in the video are all set to what you’re hearing. That should at least be a good starting point!
I would probably put it before all my other delay and reverb, because it sounds excellent with reverb after it. So then before or after dirt is up to you. I tried with some different types and it does track well after overdrive or distortion, but not as well. So even first in your chain is a possibility
It can be slowed down, but it’s meant as a ring mod so most of the range of the knob is in the high range. And the envelope controls it as well, so you’ll have to be careful with that if you have the trem/ring mod on
I have one. It's a Great sounding synth pedal, BUT ... I wish it had memory for a lot of patches. It's damn impossible to remember the secondary settings along with the primary. Getting back to a patch that you've designed and like, is so Frustrating...
Thanks so much! Normally I play through a Music Man 65 head, Avatar cab with V30 and G12H30 speakers. I record that with a Rode M1 and Senbhejser e609 into a Universal Audio Apollo interface and into Pro Tools (I sync with the video afterwards). But for stereo demos like this one I go direct in to the interface and use the UAD amp sim plugins, which work really well. I’d rather show it with a real amp, but since most stereo pedals are delay/reverb/modulation it works out well.
There are other arpeggio pedals (Moment Machine, Arpanoid) but Enzo does it very unique way because it appreciates the notes you play as opposed to a fixed patten over a note you play
@@collectoremitter Yep but I think it's just too expensive and takes too much space just to use that feature. I found a good way using a DD-5 to constantly feed my C4 Synth doing seuqenzing. Needs a lot of work but has big potential.
You know a pedal is good when every mode is a song you'd listen to. Too bad every milk toast college kid is buying them out and I can't get one right now.
So four months later, what are your thoughts? I sold mine after a couple weeks because I was so overwhelmed, but I have another one coming this week to give it another spin. You still inspired by it?
I am still inspired by it, but I find myself using the dry mode most often. The synth modes sound great and are perfect for some situations, but I also have some synths that have a lot more flexibility
This will only lead to peak shoegaze and minimal actual playing. I’d need the preset footswitch with it too. Beautiful gear from Meris who have brought their Synth world to guitartists/ knob twiddlers.
Yup! It’s the perfect crossover of the synth world and the guitar world. The preset switch is definitely helpful for this one, but it’s not too tough to dial in on the fly
I already wanted this pedal and now you pop up with a dope demo. Thanks for nothing dude (jk). Seriously, though this pedal was announced just after I bought a HOG 2, ugh.
This vs the HOG or POG is a really tough pick! I've read somewhere that Meris said they approach guitar synthesis in two totally different ways and both have positives and negatives. But hopefully you get a chance to try both and see what works for you!
You killed it! I thought I knew Enzo. I apparently know nothing. Thank you for this stellar demo full of inspiring sounds ❤️

Loving that riff that comes in around the 10 minute mark. Awesome stuff, as always.
dude ur demos go so hard the riff at 8:30 is making me want this pedal so bad
Probably my favorite demo of this pedal. Was thinking about buying but this demo just convinced me!! Great stuff.
Thanks so much! Hopefully you really enjoy it. It’s a lot to learn, but tons of fun to play
Love this demo so much, don't own one yet but this display has made it my dream pedal.

Best demo of it in the internet! Really awesome sounds!
Thanks so much! :)
Very tasteful playing in this. Sounds great.
Thanks so much! :)
My fav Enzo demo yet! Been waiting for mine forever (ordered from first batch, but shipped to Norway). This help, haha! Thanks!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! And wow, I didn’t realize it took so long for things to ship out there. Hopefully you’ll get it soon!

Excellent video as usual. This one definitely helped sell me on the Enzo. As of today, it's mine.
Yes! This is great! Thanks!
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it
WOW what’s the chord progression that starts around 4:00? It’s so beautiful! Reminds me a lot of Duster
Wow, thank you! I love Duster so that means a lot. It’s just E - C#m - B repeated 3 times then A - D

Thanks so much :)
of course! i imagine you're a pretty busy bee but if you ever wanna make a lofi over the internet album i'd be honored
The riff at the end sounds great
Thank you! I think that one is my favorite
Great vid. The arp setting is gorgeous.
Lovely demo.thank you.
Thanks so much!
Great video - really shows off the flexibility of this pedal.
Thanks so much! it’s definitely flexible, especially if you spend time finding all the right combinations of effects
So the arpeggiating parts mean we can expect yr midwest-emo-dance-tronica album any day now, right?
You joke, but I’m fairly certain I have unfinished tracks that are exactly that...
i was thinking The Album Leaf throughout this video
the only thing truly missing from the Meris Enzo is the ability to create your own presets and move between them with a tap of the button
Wonderful, i just got a Thermae yesterday but i think i want to try Enzo out even more after your video. Great Job!

the explosions in the sky pedal

@10:54 wow. love it. settings?
That’s mainly the poly synth with the pitch set to a 5th up. It also has a ton of the delay on it
Great demo man, and first time viewer.. Definitely had to subscribe.
Also, do you have any suggestions about placement in a pedal chain?
Thanks so much man! I would say first in your chain would be best, or right after your dirt pedals. Otherwise the tracking won’t work as well
Great demo, thanks! Where would you place this in a pedal chain that already has a few delays and reverbs? (too bad, out of stock at the moment....)
I would probably put it before all my other delay and reverb, because it sounds excellent with reverb after it. So then before or after dirt is up to you.
