I'm glad to see you're channeling Elaine's dance style from Seinfeld

Craig, perfect timing on this review. My wife and i have an older Sena unit for our 3/4 helmets and a Cardo for our modulars ... both need to be replaced before we do much riding in '25. We only use the comms for talking (we yak a lot 😊), do not want music, gps, definitely not a phone! Think you saved me a ton of money. Totally ridiculous what the other units cost.

As another all day kind of rider I wanted the best battery time. After asking around I went with the Lenin g16 because it has an amazing battery time measured in days not hours. These lower priced upstarts are slowly making inroads to the big boys market share. Thanks for another great informative video!!! keep at that lemon, we got a long ways to go, and forever to get there:)

Hello! I have been using various Cardo devices since 2012. Currently a Packtalk Black for almost 4 years and over 60,000 km. Yes, Cardo is expensive, no question about it. But it is also very good quality. The prices in the USA are completely crazy. We don't pay that much here in Europe. My Packtalk Black cost 279 euros including 45mm JBL speakers. For my wife a basic special edition without voice control for 179 euros. She doesn't need the function. The sound with the JBL speakers is fantastic, as is the battery life and voice quality. MESH works so easily with other people. If my Packtalk Black breaks (which I don't expect) I will buy another Cardo. Anything else would be a downgrade in my eyes. Greetings from Bavaria 😉😉

Do you know if it can connect to other comms units? If you are riding in a group and they have other units then if you cant connect its a waste.

As I mentioned in the video, this unit is for someone who doesn't want to ride in a group. When I do comm reviews I get a lot of folks who just want good sound to talk to their passenger or listen to music.

@@LivingOffTheSlab Yea ok I missed that point. I current dont do much solo riding but can understand why someone who does would like a cheaper option

Did you have any issues fitting the bigger Cardo speakers in your helmet? Did you notice an improvement? I have the standard speakers which are loud enough but alittle extra bass would be nice...

The big speakers won't go in all helmets for sure. I got them in my Shoei RF1400 but they are very close to my ears. They don't bother me, but I can tell. They do sound better, wider range for music, but for just voice, not a big enough difference. A big enough upgrade for $100? If you need the best possible sound, yes, but overall...I have not done my other helmets.

I just bought a 23 Triumph Tiger GT Explorer in blue Saturday for $16,900 brand new. I'm assuming it hooks up to your motorcycle Bluetooth easily. I wanted to get a new helmet to match and was looking at my first intercom. I will try this through your channel. I'm also looking at upper crash bars ( factory for $375) that match the Rally Explorer. I got the new update and holding the home button drops the suspension. Not sure if you have tried that. You were the biggest reason I bought this bike trading in my Royal Enfield Himalayan. Love the channel. I'll be traveling to Newton Ma on my way to see my parents and sister in Fort Fairfield Maine. I will stop at your local dealership to check it out. Thanks for this review. I'll pick it up through your channel

I did not try connecting to the bike, but assume it would be the same as connecting to a GPS. You can connect to two devices like phone and GPS or bike. Thanks!

@LivingOffTheSlab I have the Triumph app and connected my bike to my phone, so perfect you can do this too. I've never used a Cardeo , and I do ride alone, so this would be perfect. I'm going to Cycle Gear this week and I will find a helmet that accepts this type of communication device. I'm looking for some good riding boots to keep my feet safe but not so bulky I have to change the shifter like I did for my Himalayan. I would love to see a video of your riding gear. I've seen the jacket video and some of your packing for a trip videos which are very helpful. I'm also trying to decide Paniers, if I want the Big ones or the Trekker. I can't find any reviews on RUclips about the differences. Thanks for the replies

Will it allow a Cardo user to pair? Or, should I say will it pair with a Cardo user for group conversation?
    Thanks

I didn't try it and they don't list connecting to other types of units in their instructions. You can connect two Bluetooth devices so it might be able to do it that way, but it is not really designed for that.
