As someone who's been part of the mod since 2019 (as an artist), I'm really glad to see a positive take on Kalterkrieg. Sure, the mod has its problems and is lacking content in some areas. It took six years to develop, getting stuck in 'development hell' for a few of those years. Many people thought it would eventually be abandoned, like other HOI4 mods such as its counterpart 'Krasnacht'. A common criticism is the setting-Germany vs Entente cold war with a divided US. Some suggest complete lore changes or moving the start of the game, which would mean throwing out nearly six years of work and starting from scratch. That's pretty unrealistic. Kalterkrieg is the first mod to continue the Kaiserriech timeline, so people are adding their own headcanon and preferences for what they want to see in a post-2nd Weltkrieg Kaiserriech world. These critiques wouldn’t come up if Kalterkrieg was a standalone mod, independent of the Kaiserreich timeline.
Finally! A hoi4 youtuber playing a country other than Germany in Kalterkrieg. And lo and behold its actually fun. People should give Kalterkrieg a second chance.
One thing I would like to See is a Kaiserreich MP RP or a Alt History Run Starting with WWI Mod, Then if German Wins WWI move onto Kaiserreich and then this mod after if the Kaiserreich wins WWII.
You might need a better CPU and/ or RAM but first just try upgrading your cooling if overheating is the immediate issue, you might notice better performance but if you have a laptop just give up honestly, even a good laptop is just gonna melt and that’s true not just for HOI4 but pretty much anything more strenuous than the sims 4.
This is the most realistic because say germany did win ww1 why would a weaker entente manage to beat a stronger germany it makes no since thats like saying that a nazi germany before Munich agreement could win even if italy and Czechoslovakia joined the allies
EXACTLY. People think that a much weaker France, Britain and Russia would win against Germany in the Second Weltkrieg? An isolated syndicalist Britain and France would lack all of the necessary resources without their colonial empires to win.

OTL we were so close to the Kaiser ending. One of only two endings where Eastern Europe has a good highway network.
Eastern Europe being German puppet states would probably develop better than being under the USSR so probably.
