I gave the pact ring to Veyle to end the final boss in the best and the most poetic way, the two children of the fell dragon, free from his control cutting all their links with him, giving the right goodbye, and saving the world. Absolutely best way to end the final boss.
Fun fact: If you don’t kill Sombron after breaking through his first shield, he summons more Dark Emblems. And lots of reinforcements. I got real greedy and killed the last one at the end of my turn, causing him to only give me one turn to kill him, which I obviously couldn’t achieve. That was painful.
I was so devasted with Alfred post-life summary that I didn't get to enjoy much of the end credits at all. I was supposed to give him (or Diamant) the Pact Ring but have forgotten about it and now my boy is gone. Life is so unfair to him, only way to prolong it, is by giving him the ring.
Interesting gimmick. Of the 4 Dark Emblems seen here, Shadow Dragon is Medeus and War Father is Duma. Dark God could refer to Ashera (main antagonist of Radiant Dawn), while Dark Bishop could refer to either Manfroy or Veld (main antagonists of their respective Jugdral games).
There is also the King of Liberation (Nemesis) and the Silent Dragon (Anankos). There is pretty much every final bosses of the games from where thr emblems came from. The respective emblem even have a bonus against it's respective final boss.
final bossfight would have been infinitely cooler, and I mean so cool, if the enemies you had to kill to break the barrier weren't just corrupted models and were actually themselves. I know modeling all of those characters would have been far too much work but i can dream The fact that old villains were referenced at all though is pretty cool

I think the story gets overhated. This is a VERY formulaic story, and that’s what it’s EXACTLY trying to be. It’s a celebration of the series. To set it apart, they gave it the best customization and tactical gameplay we’ve seen in years. I did think the game honestly had better world building and characters than some of the most recent games too.
I like how Marth is like "I hope we get to meet again" as if it wasn't an intention that whether you like it or not Alear is probably going to be one of the first characters to get into the next Smash game (either Ultimate port or reboot and this WILL be mentions about how Alear's happy to see them again)
I may be alone on this one but I cant help but be endeared by how cheesy engage was. Yeah at times it was a bit too much but the final calling of each of the emblems got me hyped like a kid
i never lost to him, but learned yesterday if you lose to him there is a dark bad ending, it could be a good alternate universe to them entering a new world for the next main character to fight and free the last 2 good guys from their misery
The final part of this game is convincing Me to get it. Such a well thought out ending cutscene and good character development. I've underestimates this series. Well there’s an fourth dlc wave that adds new chars like 3Houses but they are non plot essential This game is much better at like the Fire emblem gameplay than 3Houses and the maps are much better than 3Houses was too personally the main difference is the characters aren’t as deep as 3Houses was nor is the plot. Which is fine for me as an FE fan Basically in 3H you had to play the same maps multiple times with small to none changes which wasn’t fun here all the maps are made from the ground up like most FE games. This (like the past 4 FE games) is an great game to introduce you to the series, and has probably the most fun gameplay than the past four thanks to the engage mechanic as an whole.
I hope that they'll treat the Beyonder version of Kang The Conqueror in the MCU like Sombron and the Avengers including the young ones will fight against the multiverse villains.
God Shattering Star & Twilight of the gods trample all over Engage's OST on their own tbh. But they're both among the best final boss themes ever made, so maybe it's not an entirely fair comparison.

my thoughts for the future of this game. I think for wave 2-4 of the DLC for Fire emblem engage, we should get, maybe like a revive story. So basically, after the final boss, our story is over, and we just continue playing in the past. What if in the Wave 4 of DLC, Veyle would have to find a way to revive everyone (because in the future, everyone died because everyone was old). So she revives everyone and happy end. BUT The next game, will be called Fire Emblem. Yes, just Fire emblem. What I want to see in this game, is that they bring EVERYONE, EVERY CHARACTERS from the past game in one game. But the villain of this game will be Robin from fire emblem awakening. So basically there we see a cutscene, where he/she (I prefer she) goes wild and kills Chrom. What if after that she went killing other worlds, and she basically came to a world, where there are every character and now we need to defeat her 😅
That was by far the easiest Battle in the Game It was almost as easy as the Final Boss in Moerl Chronicle/Crystal and those are the easiest Final Bosses ever
Idunn is a Demon/ Mage Dragon and Former Divine Dragon which is significantly more powerful than a fire dragon, sure she is one of the easier final bosses but that is because the Binding Blade is way too overpowered
this game is and always has been a poor idea on Intellegent systems. With how much they reference older fire emblem games in other games including spin-offs and how the art direction leads to terribly into the "anime power of friendship" side of the series. Even as someone who loves anime and can forgive corny shit in anime, I couldn't stand this games feel. Like I said too, its self-referential nature brings it down objectively BECAUSE Intel systems does it too much. Finally, the story which in my opinion is a throw away story and the concept of a multi-verse fire emblem conflict is very convuluted and very prone to having an antogonist like this one, who supposedly is supposed to be "the father of all fire emblem" which is just stupid. When I saw the trailers I was super disinterested and stand by that sentiment as I will never buy this game because imo it does not represent what the Fire-Emblem series is about and never will. It's truly an awful idea overall for the Fire Emblem series specifically.

The game was definitely more enjoyable than I thought, and the plot is giving World of Final Fantasy, but honestly world of ff did it better 💀

my thoughts for the future of this game.
I think for wave 2-4 of the DLC for Fire emblem engage, we should get, maybe like a revive story. So basically, after the final boss, our story is over, and we just continue playing in the past. What if in the Wave 4 of DLC, Veyle would have to find a way to revive everyone (because in the future, everyone died because everyone was old). So she revives everyone and happy end.
BUT
The next game, will be called Fire Emblem. Yes, just Fire emblem.
What I want to see in this game, is that they bring EVERYONE, EVERY CHARACTERS from the past game in one game. But the villain of this game will be Robin from fire emblem awakening. So basically there we see a cutscene, where he/she (I prefer she) goes wild and kills Chrom. What if after that she went killing other worlds, and she basically came to a world, where there are every character and now we need to defeat her 😅

I still don't get why Roy is one of main emblem. His final boss is just a one confused fire dragon. His achievement seem abit less then other heroes
Idunn is a Demon/ Mage Dragon and Former Divine Dragon which is significantly more powerful than a fire dragon, sure she is one of the easier final bosses but that is because the Binding Blade is way too overpowered
roy is a fire emblem protagonist. there is nobody else from fe6, binding blade, that qualifies for main character.

this game is and always has been a poor idea on Intellegent systems. With how much they reference older fire emblem games in other games including spin-offs and how the art direction leads to terribly into the "anime power of friendship" side of the series. Even as someone who loves anime and can forgive corny shit in anime, I couldn't stand this games feel. Like I said too, its self-referential nature brings it down objectively BECAUSE Intel systems does it too much. Finally, the story which in my opinion is a throw away story and the concept of a multi-verse fire emblem conflict is very convuluted and very prone to having an antogonist like this one, who supposedly is supposed to be "the father of all fire emblem" which is just stupid.
When I saw the trailers I was super disinterested and stand by that sentiment as I will never buy this game because imo it does not represent what the Fire-Emblem series is about and never will. It's truly an awful idea overall for the Fire Emblem series specifically.

Just finished the game and holy shit, the story was so bad! I never cared for any character, I never felt engaged with the character (pun intended) it's just power of friendship bs from start to end.
It feels like the story was written to please 12yo players
I hope this is not the Final end and the Story continued....i excited war happen next in the new stories...just my hope for the series...😏
