Global scenario for low emissions has changed and Australia's 'not changed with it'

  • Chartered Engineer Tony Irwin says Australia has "not changed with it" regarding the global push for low emissions.
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton announced the Coalition’s nuclear policy last week, including the seven proposed sites for the nuclear reactors.
“Nobody’s going to start a new nuclear power program in the 80s, post Chernobyl,” Mr Irwin told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
“But then we get into a new situation, where we get this sort of demand for low emissions.
“The whole scenario is changing, but we’ve not changed with it.”

The delusional insanity about carbon dioxide emissions and the climate began in the 1980s when B team climate scientists believed that they knew better than Arrhenius.
Arrhenius described the greenhouse effect in the late nineteenth century. He opined that the carbon dioxide emissions from human activity would have the beneficial effects of increasing agricultural yields and postponement of the next glacial maximum. You can add reduced winter heating costs and fewer deaths from hypothermia.
Popular delusions regarding the Earth’s climate and the utility of “renewable energy “ in its current form have been allowed to triumph over critical thinking and common sense.
We should simply use the most economical energy resources available.

Global Co2 emissions are not down. That's the first lie here. The game here is the NIMBY effect. Not In My Back Yard.
All labor wants to do - is make out it is doing something. The global energy market is worth trillions of dollars a year. That's regardless of what - you want to talk about. The global energy market - is coal - gas - oil - nuclear - green energy. Record tons of coal were burnt in South East Asia - last year. Over 4 billion tons of coal. Green energy products can only be made using - hydrocarbons. They would not exist because of hydrocarbons.
Co2 remains at less then half of 1% of the earth's atmosphere. So at 0.20% - plants fail and die. At the moment Co2 is at 0.407% of the earths total atmosphere. Less then half of 1%. Notice no-one on the climate change side - will tell you about this fact.
And all labor is trying to do - is shift Co2 emissions from Australia to Asia. South East Asia - has been tasked by labor to manufacture everything we need. Hence the recent visit by China to Australia. And why labor - wont bring manufacturing back.
This is purely - politics - on crack cocaine. Nothing about Net Zero - works or make sense. It's purely mind games. And when you let politicians - run that side of policy - nothing works or makes sense. And everything is a lie. That's what voters don't want to admit. There is no compelling reason - to do to green energy machines. They cost to much - and are unreliable. They only work - when the sun shines or the wind blows. Even complete - with the lie - from Albo - during the last federal election campaign - the sun shines somewhere in Australia over 24 hours. Tells you he's not the sharpest tack in the cupboard.
This is not about saving the planet. Labor has fallen into the clutches. Of the new kids in town. And fallen for their scam. Buy our overpriced - unreliable products. Yet it all comes back to the same thing. How you produce energy - really comes down - to how smart the politicians are - who get sucked into scams. And they sold him a scam. And Albo wont admit - he got suckered - and he's a rank political - amateur.
And for labor - it's not hard. You just waste your tax payers money - on what labor hands out to buy - to but - these scam products - labor in turn demand "kick backs" as political campaign donations - from the people - they pay extortion rates - for a bunch of poor quality - useless green energy products. That's how this works. Labor are - immoral - corrupt - useless.

Nuclear power wont automatically lower electricity prices. If anything they could likely increase. Anything that further centralises the power grid will increase prices over time. Rooftop solar with electricity and hot water along with battery storage can address 90% of domestic power requirements. One is better off going off grid if possible. That then leaves industrial scale solar, wind and hydro and tidal energy, along with gird scale battery storage cover industry needs. These technologies are evolving so rapidly along with rapidly falling costs per kWh generated, that nuclear simply won't be able to keep pace. There's simply zero evidence to support brown outs since grid scale battery storage has been implemented and that is being rapidly increased also. I doubt Aust will have nuclear within the next 20 years. Beyond that time period is a wait and see. Much depends on population growth. Renewables would be in the order of 300 to 400 billion including grid scale battery storage. Possibly on the lower side if prices keep falling.
