Good information I need to be mindful of. I get hung up on notes and technique and forget about those things you mentioned that make it music instead of just dead and repetitive notes and patterns. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks Ronnie! I am also wondering about how you thought about which notes to play. Did you use a particular minor scale or the blues scale? Did do you think about tension and release? Perhaps this is something you covered in the past...
good question.i used the blues scale in 2nd position but i didn't think about it. practicing scales and riffs to the point where they are in your subconscious bank of ideas is key.
Hey Ronnie, I don’t comment much but lately you seem be touching on what we ( somewhat advanced players) need. Another great vid lesson. Please keep it up. I just play for fun and have no real interest in playing on stage, but do enjoy the instrument a lot. Thanks again.
Great tips Ronnie. I would also add 'leave space' and 'use repetition'. Nothing worse than an endless stream of notes with nothing there for the listener to hold onto. I like it to someone who talks incessantly without pausing for breath. You can only listen for so long before you switch off.
they sound amazing. i use the exact element but in one the custom wood shells which fits my hand better. if you have smaller hands..then this might be a perfect choice. can't be the tone!
Muchas gracias por tus consejos y tus tutoriales, me han servido mucho saludos desde Chile

absolutely. i just chose 3. i was thinking of choosing 3 more for a different video and space/phrasing would definitely be in there!
