Today I’ll continue my conversation with the beloved 1950’s Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane, Jack Larson and Noel Neill of the Adventures of Superman,.
In this archival interview, conducted about ten years prior to their passing , Noel talks about appearing in the Kirk Alyn serials and what it was like taking over for Phyllis Coates. And the pair talks about their favorite cliffhanger traps.

I still watch the Superman reruns, Noel Neil to me was the quenessential Lois Lane, also quite attractive in her younger years! Jack Larson was great in his Jimmy Olson role, may they both RIP!
My favorite episodes of "The Adventures Of Superman"tv show are"The Clown Who Cried","Superman In Exile","The Perils Of Superman",and"Around The World With Superman".
Kirk Alyn said he didn't want to continue the role into tv but years later he said he regreted that decision seeing how iconic the superman character ended up being in America. He did get a cameo along side Noel in the 1978 movie playing a young Lois's father. Very cool scene btw.
And then Jack also made a cameo in Superman Returns as the bartender. Everybody knows about Noel playing Gertrude 😂

Hi,Just for clarification: This interview was originally for a documentary in which I was never intended to be heard by the audience. The answers were edited and only portions were ever aired. I'm presenting it now completely uncut and uncensored because I felt people would be interested to hear it - (certainly less so in what I was saying!) The footage is a historical record of these iconic and beloved actors. My sound is what it is, unfortunately, and presented without apology. Hope you can enjoy it in that context. Like Joan Alexander who played Lois on radio and many of the animated versions Noel was from Minnesota!
