A video on a facial expression rig would be super cool for your character. Great video aa always
OMG THANK YOU, the amount of stress i have been looking for this answer all along
Would love to see a face rig tutorial if you haven't done one already - awesome work! thanks for all that you do
Came to upgrade the olde skillset and get caught up on the world of rigging. Haven't rigged a character in over a decade. Things sure have improved! Thanks a lot for this!
Welcome back! Enjoy the new tools :)
I've been meaning to learn this stuff a long time. I used simple human rigs and even fully made my own rigs for creatures, but I always wondered about the best way to deal with the little dangly bits :D
you literally just saved my life thank you so much
You are so welcome!!
You are simply the best, thank you!
You're welcome! Thank you for watching! 🥰
Thanks again ... for the follow through tutorial.
love this content so much :)
You are relly help full 🙏 Thank You
omg thanks!
Hello miss Phoenix! I did the rig using AdvancedSkeleton and when I hit the Add Influence the Mesh reappears (in terms of translation and scale) between the original Tpose place and the Center Point of the World. (Referenced mesh)
great tutorial you are amazing
Saved my nerves on this one! Thank you very much!
P.S. Could you tell me a litttle about exporting this stuff to another soft? What buttons I need to push :)
can you please shows us how to make clothing accessories move with physics rather than animating every single part of it. Love to see a video about that please. Cheers :)
Thanks so much for the useful tutorial. It really helps :).
I'm thrilled to hear it helps! Thank you for watching!
@@AcademicPhoenixPlus I have a question. What is the difference between 'Bind skin' and 'add influence'? for me it looks like they do the same thing, which is connecting the joints to mesh. Isn't it basically the same? I don't understand why some tutorials ask us to do 'Bind skin' while some others do 'add influence'. I will really appreciate it if you explain it to me. Thank you.

thank you!
thank you so much
Great tutorial, you can do a export tutorial? when i export to fbx, in blender or in cinema4d doesn't recognise the animation, the motion trail doesn't work.
Tanks!
Can you do some videos on lighting ?
I want to become a lighting artist so i wanted to learn about lighting passes
Please that would be really helpful
Thank you
You are very welcome!
any technical reason to constrain the ponytail joint to the head control rather than have it be a child of the head joint?
You should be a voice actor
Hi, I have put my hair rigs in the HeadEffector, but they stop following the head when I move the hips. How can I fix this?
same issue here
Can you mirror the weight painting/influences, so that it copies the first side you did to the other side?
Can you add thickness to those control splines?
Can you try this in Blender?
So add influence is just like if you did bind skin or something like that? Or is it doing something else?
Edit: it adds new bones to the existing geometry that is already skinned?
Sorry to asking I want know it which software is best for 3d artist Maya or blender
?when you rotate the hips the hair stays in the back, anyone can help
does not work at the skin influence stage Warning: line 0: No geometry found under the influence transform
God I miss maya.
aawwww... what are you using now?
@@AcademicPhoenixPlus Hi Monica. You know....still using the Blender software. This free software, we've made friends.
The company I work for did say they'd purchase a maya for me to work in, but you know, I stuck thorugh it, gritted my teeth left and right, and just powered thorugh it. So they didnt need to get it - extra brownie points for me.
Look, it has a lot of things I'd change, but overall....it's actually pretty damd good. Especially the renderer.
The UV mapping system is still really crappy, and it takes me about 3x longer to uv map anything in that horrible UV system.... but other than that....I guess it's pretty damn good. And free.
But I'll be getting into the rigging part really soon, so, I'll let you know about that soon. But so far, I've got the 3D modelling / texturing sorted.
They've got this really good nodes system...which is a lot of times above my paygrade (or comprehension)....so that one, I'm still working on....
Yourself, have you ever played around with Blender? Simply out of curiosity?
