Two things will improve your game big time Dennis is keeping your head down until you make contact with the ball( let someone else watch where it goes) it’s making you chilli dip and pull the ball. The other thing is your giving up on your swing …keep that speed up throughout the shot…👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Good to see the two of you play together as follow you both, highlights the difference between H/Caps which is really just consistency from tee to green, surprised James Robinson wasn't making up a 3 ball as this his home course I believe. Luke's game has come on considerably since he started and yours can do the same, just got to be able to get off of the tee with the bigger clubs👍👍

You'll shave loads of strokes off your handicap if you leave lofted wedges in the bag near the green unless you need to clear something like a bunker. Just chip with PW/9/8/7. You won't be fatting them or skulling them. Just keep the ball low and running.
The bad thing is I know you’re right, but it’s a short term solution to a bigger problem. If I can’t improve with loft I’ll struggle in the long run I think. I’ve got similar demons with driver. I score better but it’s not sustainable

Dennis. Here is golf. Today 11 over on the front 9. 1 under on the back nine. How does that happen? The change I made was, I started swinging out of my shoes on the back. I tried to literally force myself to put a good solid move on the ball. I’m not gonna get there if I don’t solidly hit this shot. Instead of feathering everything. Golf is so frustratingly fun. Watching you laugh off your frustration really does help other guys. I copied your attitude to change my round.
One more thing. Your not committing to your chipping. Yes you are open, but your swinging a regular swing path. Open a little more. Open the club and finish with your hands pointing at the flag. Arms extended. Your swing path is back and towards the spot of your target. Not circular. As always. If I’m overstepping. I don’t mean to. I want you to succeed.

You have a lovely swing Dennis, maybe try clubbing up and swinging easier. When I hear you taking 7 iron from around 180 that’s not far off pro distances
I’ve tried swinging easy for a while now to no avail. Swinging softer throws me off balance. I’m really trying to work on my swing though so here’s hoping 🤞
Even on his putts he’s looking to see where the ball went before he makes contact…and I’ve seen some of your shots when you’ve kept your head down Dennis and what a difference it makes…much better contact..👍🏼
😂 don’t think the tee boxes were further enough forward in the end. Should have sent Luke to the back ones also might have evened it then. Hopefully another outing with Luke not too far in the future
Played this course many a times in the Yorkshire league that is set up and never once played it well (call it my arch nemesis one would say) for a shorter course at 6100 yards its a rough track to get right
Luke has been playing very well lately. He turned up on form, while unfortunately for you, your short game didn’t and it cost you innumerable strokes. Great content, regardless.

Dude. Why you no use handicap? If Luke's HC is 12 and your's is 24, then just halve them for 9 holes, you get 6 shots and that makes things fair. 🧐
