The one thing that has kept me away from MongoDB Atlas / Realm is I hat writing and testing code in a web form based editor. If I could build and test my api code locally I would be happy to use it.
I totaly agree with you. this editor seems really unconfortable.

Missing out on the awesome functionality of MongoDB Atlas & Realm because you can't code for it using Sublime or VS Code is a bad tradeoff. Hold your nose and do it, you'll only be writing basic JS anyways.
I could be wrong because i'm new in dev but if you create your own server with your own api you can do it from your editor (I use vscode) and connect your api to mongodb. am I wrong? maybe you are refering to a serverless api?
Nice video.. however, I'm having trouble replicating. The 3rd Party Services have been depreciated as of Dec 2021. This could use an update with the new Endpoints.

@@juanmanuelocampojuarez6684 switched to Amazon's serverless instead. There was a CORS issue that wasn't resolvable with mongo at the moment.
