Beautifully done. This reminds me of my childhood job picking dahlias and pinks at my uncle Clive’s flower farm. It was a dreamy job for a daydreamer like me and a source of summer pocket money for years. He transitioned into the newly fashionable conifers and heathers, inspired by his friend at Bressingham. I must admit that potting on heather cuttings in a greenhouse never held the same appeal.
Oh wow these are stunningly beautiful especially seeing the colours in them..Think I am going to have to try a few of these next year, although mine won't look as good as these,I can try.. You are such a positive & inspirational person, you touch so many lives & it's lovely to see you been so supportive.. Thankyou for taking us on this trip I truly enjoyed it..🦋🏵️🌺🍄🦋🏵️🌺🍄
Beautiful Georgie and top work Natalie getting such an efficient and colourful flower farm exclusively of dahlias ❤ I really struggle with mine as I'm on heavy clay but I still try. If you're ever further up the country Gilberts Dahlias in Hampshire is worth a visit. They're a nursery rather than flower farm but inspirational and they've been going yonks ! Certainly inspired me to have another go 😁
I know you are a modest person Georgie, but I hope it really "sinks in" at how many people you have inspired in a good way. If Dahlia's were poetry, it would be the flower farm you visited. So neat, it almost doesn't seem real!....STUNNING.
Thank you Georgie and Natalie, what a wonderful sight all those beautiful dahlias made. It’s my first year of growing them in my garden and I’ve fallen in love with them. Copper boy is one I’ll have to try.
Wonderful! All the best Natalie, a perfect flower farm thank you for taking us with you Georgie. I've grown Preference this year she is so beautiful. Mine are in pots on patio as it's too wet and cold here in Ireland.
Thanks for sharing Georgie I now have to decide how many I can squeeze into my garden for next year! you mentioned Santa cruz dahlias having looked at the website they are amazing - is it possible to buy them in the UK?
Oh I also picked up the accent - could be either I think, and kudos to her for adjusting to a very different growing climate. I hope her dahlia venture and adventure will be a huge success.
@@theflowerfarmer, have you heard of Floret Flower Farm? She has been breeding dahlias and zinnias by keeping different varieties apart from each other. It is labor intensive, but perhaps worth it.
I'm speechless. And maybe drooling a little. So gorgeous.
@@janeferguson8678 isn’t it stunning x
The most gorgeous Dahlias…I live in Atlanta and it’s too hot to grow these beauties. Totally envious and good luck with your amazing crop👏👏
thank you xxx
Wonderful to see a woman inspired by Georgie start her own flower farm, exclusively dahlias. She fills a niche.

Gorgeous! I can’t imagine the effort it takes to lift all those tubers…and the storage! Wishing them great success. Xx

I’d love to know how Natalie avoided the slug damage this year? Any tips greatly appreciated! Natalie, your flowers are just so beautiful ❤
I think she went ruthless slugging x
Stunningly beautiful, thank you 🤤

What a dream✨. My favorite this year is Meghan Dean, but Beatrice is the most productive.

I don’t think so - but you could get in touch with her and ask?
Is Natalie from Zim or South Africa. I love the support system.
Oh I also picked up the accent - could be either I think, and kudos to her for adjusting to a very different growing climate. I hope her dahlia venture and adventure will be a huge success.
truth is we were so busy talking dahlias I never asked! x
Gorgeous - but I agree with Nic - the winds were creating inconsistent sound
yes it was a windy spot! x
Lovely. Former South African?😊
I think so - though of course we were so busy talking dahlias I didn't ask! x
@@theflowerfarmer Know the accent 😊 From South Africa with love
I would like to know what are the best dahlias for cutting. Also how to make them last in water. Mine won't go more than 3 or 4 days.
Many of my dahlias have only just started to come into flower. I suppose you being in the south of UK helps, I’m in Midlands.
It’s been a slow, cold summer xxx
Def South African!
such a lovely lady x
Sorry. I couldn't watch as the wind sound was so loud. Beautiful Dahlias 😊
I know - very exposed spot - if you scroll on a bit the wind dies down and the sun comes out - phew! x
Would it be possible to save seeds from the flowers that don’t produce good tubers?
hmmm there's a thought though if they've been cross pollinated they won't come true x
