Playstation or Xbox aren't the only consoles. A non hardcore gamer with young children still like Nintendo Switch. No Super Mario or Zelda on those consoles. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
The older I get the less I care about the benefits of PC and I'm tired of trying to figure out why my game is stuttering, why my frames are dropping, why my game crashed, etc. I just want to play games in a focused simple way.
I don't know why people think PC gaming is so difficult to keep up with. It's not hard at all and the last 5 years it's even become much more easier. Incapable and you're not restricted to anything
Same here. It's gotten more annoying than it should be or even used to be. Maybe one day I will dabble into PC once again, but I don't see it happening any time soon.
Been a PC gamer since 2007 to 2014. Gave me nothing but headache due to maintenance, parts upgrade and replacement. Gave me stress and anxiety on identifying what TF is wrong with the unit. Never gonna look back. I am fine with console gaming and gave me better experience as a casual.
Those were complex times do not compare 2007 time to 2024 things are very different now . Consoles are struggling to run new games only pc can provide the best experience
I have an Xbox series x and a PC with ryzen 9 7950x and nvidia 4080. I use my PC for multi tasking and competitive gaming but whenever I want to just casually sit down and play then I use my Xbox. Honestly people can use whatever they want. Casual gamers = buy a console, Streamers or content creators or competitive gamers = buy or build a pc.
That Ryzen 9 7950x is crazy good, I hear. It gotta be a beast cause I have the ryzen 9 5900 and with that I stream, record, play games and keep my software development app open sometimes. And it runs smoothy
After being a console player my whole life and struggling to get my hands on the ps5 or Xbox series x I went pc and it’s completely changed the game for me especially the mods and sheer number of games
It’s backwards for me, I guess it’s just because when you find out what you’ve been missing out on you realize that it’s better, I guess after years of playing both you’ll become accustomed to both but it takes a while
Enjoy it. And the money you're going to save by not having to pay a subscription service to play the game you already paid for using the internet you already paid for. Can get you a new game every month
@@iprodigy6723 dude. With the subscription you can buy it for about $120 a year (unless it’s on sale which it does often) and get half the games on the console for free. While pc has to buy those games for around $30-70 PER GAME
Both are fun. I play on both but will keep the parts I have and probably never upgrade. If I do, it'll be 7-10 years later. I'm the single player type so I never play online. Maybe once or twice a year consistently
Consoles are in their best spot ever. 120fps options. Unlocked framerates in certain games. And them Sony exclusives slap. I have moved over to main my 7900xt pc that I built, however i still use my PS5 often. And yes, I still sub to PS Plus because I have gotten great games off even the basic tier. And one thing on console that PC can’t touch- physical games. Absolutely love that.
really? For me Consoles are in their worst spot ever. - backwards compatibility is dead - 4 Player Split Screen is as good as dead - Games are more expensive - less Variety of Games - Plug n Play is dead - Pay to Play Online - XBox lacks Games, PS lacks in Game Variety, Nintendo went full Handheld / Mobile and SEGA is dead. - Most Sony "Exclusives" are A) 90% Open / Semi Open World, Check List Gaming, 3rd Person Action Adventures with stealth and / or QTE and / or RPG Elements. And B) going Multiplatt anyway (Uncharted, Days Gone, The Last of Us, Spiderman, God of War, Death Stranding, RDR2, Kingdom Hearts, Horizon and now Ratchet & Clank). - Many beloved Games, Classics and hidden Gems that made the PS great, are dead and mostly forgotten because Sony shut down most of it's first Party Studios in a similar way like EA did. - due to digital Stores, digital Version Consoles and Gaming Streaming Services (Gamepass, GeForce RTX, PSNow), Physical Media will die and subsequently the used Games Market as well. Plus Offline Single Player will die and lending Games to Friends too because of that.
@@BeatmasterAC Games being more expensive? I see Diablo 4 being the same price on both PC and PS5. They have become largely equal, although I will say that Steam can have better sales at times. - Games like Diablo 4 keep couch co-op alive while PC does not even have it as an option. - Less variety? They largely have the same catalogue, save for Hentai Mommy games, strategy games and some others. The core games that drive revenue do well on all platforms (COD, Capcom games, etc). Having a PS5 allows you to get games day 1 that Pc won't see like FF XVI and other exclusives. - A lot of work has been done on back compat with Xbox. AutoHDR, framerate boosts and libraries back to the OG Xbox era are there. PS has some work to do, but Cell is a major issue with it as even powerful PCs struggle with emulation on the CPU side. - Plug and play is dead? I literally plug in my PS5 to my TV and everything auto-sets and works. On my PC, I'm having problems with HDR on COD games for no reason on PC. Irritating as fuck. - I do agree physical media is in danger. I do my part- almost all my purchases on PS5 are physical.

Oh Xbox is doing something about Backwards compatibility, that's true. But PS? not neccessary for PS3 because of the Cell Architecture but what about PS2, PSP, PSVita and PS1? Plug n Play back in the days: Insert Disc -> turn on Console -> Press Start - Loading time -> Play. Now a days: Turn on Console -> wait for new Firmware to Download -> wait for new Firmware to install -> Reboot Console -> insert Disc -> wait for Download the Game -> wait for Installation -> wait for Day One Patch / new Patch Download -> wait for Patch Installation -> Press Start -> wait for unskippable Intro Screens -> Play. Is that Plug n Play for you? Maybe I am old school and nostalgic but Consoles are heading in the wrong way especially when everyone is aiming for Game Streaming in the Future.
I have been playing on computers since 2005 but started playing on console before that. I always loved both and had to have all the consoles and PC as well, but the case for PC gaming is the exclusives and old games only. Consoles are extremely good these days.
Went BACK to PC last year and one thing that was surprising, coming from Xbox is that a lot of my titles came with me. Even a few that weren't MS first party titles. And the price of games on PC is cheaper. $$$$
I think if you factor in subscription free games and discounts as well as used disc game sales then for most games that people like the price kind of evens of. Any game I’m about to buy on console I normally look up the price on steam and it be the same or sometimes more on steam. I think that’s how it used to be but not so much now
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL used games are far cheaper than any steam sale. I built a pc rig recently with an i5 12600k and 7900 xtx and games look amazingly good at 4k 120fps on my 65” c1 oled. But once I saw this performance, it has ruined my experience on my ps5 where I now prefer games first on pc. But games are cheaper if you wait for deals on ps5 as to pc even steam sales as used console game prices or even new after 6 months or less hit $29.99. For example Callisto project is already 29.99, returnal can be had for $36.99 right now at Best Buy to pick up but steam is still $60-65. I would still rather play on pc but will continue to wait for a price drop.
@@eplugplay8409 I see, I also have an og c1 and own both a ps5 and pc. I think when people say that “pc is better” they are comparing only high e d PCs to consoles forgetting that low end $600 PCs are still PCs too and perform worse than consoles and in general most comparisons are done with similar pricing just like the pc people love to compare Ryzen and intel because of price value. So in that case the console will always win, but I think it’s subjective depending on what pc or console is being compared
I started out on PC. Playing MechWarrior. Then, after that game died out, I played console for the next 20+ years. Then bought a new PC and I fell in love all over again. Team PC all the way
@@demitri7303 King? King of what? For pay to play online? for more expensive games? for a lack of backwards compatibility? for having no scalability? for being denied to have access to Mods? for having less Games? for being tied to an limited Eco System, dictated by the Manufacturer?
You do realize that the concept of video games was started from console in the late 1970s.Then a decade later more and more people started to make computers so their was no gaming pc 30 years ago and gaming consoles will always be the traditional way to play video games. people started to make gaming pcs because they wanted a more advanced and cool way of playing video games in the early 2000s then years later more and more people started getting munilpesed into thinking that gaming pcs are the best in 2017. But their not.
Former console gamer here (circa late 1980's with Master System/NES and possibly Atari) In my years on console I had fun and whatnot. Then when the millenia came I was still on console up till the Wii-U and PS4. Then I decided to go to PC gaming and built my first budget pc in full tower case (Cooler Master HAF-X) in 2011/2012. Then the rest is history. In my time on PC here are the benefits ive gotten that were barely on console 1. Free multiplayer online/no yearly paywall to access online multiplayer 2. Multitasking 3. Multiple displays off a single gpu 4. Upgradibility of components 5. Repairing of components at the component level (not happened to me yet but its an option) 6. Emulation all the way back the 1980's. 7. Backwards compatibility (I don't need to force myself to get a console from decades ago just to play a game/cart/disc) 8. Huge support for peripherals from different things (guitars, amps, controllers, keyboards, mice, drawing equipment and soo much more to name) 9. Overclocking 10. Different form factor cases (Small all the way to super sized cases) 11. Multiple hard drives in Raid 0 or Raid 1 12. Different cooling options 13. Different board configurations (from Mini itx/ M-ATX/ATX and Server grade workstation motherboards) 14. Non RGB or RGB 15. Freedom 16. DIfferent vendors to buy games from and not stuck with just a single store (Steam sales/GOG/G2A/Green Man Gaming/Humble Bundle/etc) 17. Different OS's off a single hard drive or multiple hard drives
You hit the nail on the head about the multi-purpose use of the PC; a workstation + gaming setup is just tough to beat. I'd say the only reason I'd want the console is for older generations, but with how strong emulation continues to grow for a lot of old systems, I have a viable option for my old games and can save the space. I do like how simple it is to just boot up on console and play as far as the smoothness of framerate goes, but brute forcing it on PC with an amazing setup OR tweaking something mid-range or low spec has its own rewards.. sometimes. I put my consoles aside years ago and haven't looked back.
That’s cool how it worked out for you, but I think most people don’t really need a multitasking setup like that. Most jobs provide laptops and stuff if they are remote and most people already have computers or laptops that can do their daily needs. Even a phone is enough fr, I don’t even need a computer tbh. I think a good ps5 and $200 laptop would still do the job with better performance at half the price.
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL it’s just how I view it. Consoles have 0 scalability, requiring you to toss away the entire system to upgrade or change along with your needs when the systems eventually promote a pro version or such. Plus I don’t like cluttering my space with a ton of peripherals, plastic and such. So even if I play a console title later or the digital versions for PC access I still get what I desire. I love my phone for what it can do, but as a creative it only goes so far to where I still need to go back to the PC for edits, compositing, etc. Consoles will always have a place imo because they solve an immediate need rather well, but even for PS5 users there’s a difference you can’t simply swap out for because of hardware limitations. That said, if you’ve only dealt with the realm of console.. you wouldn’t experientially notice anyway.
Yea I see what you’re saying that If someone hasn’t played pc then they really wouldn’t notice the difference, so I think with console gamers it’ll probably be a better deal for them to just stay with console but if you like cad design and editing and stuff while gaming then pc is a good option.
The reality is most people are interested more in console, player base on console is way bigger, devs abandoned pc long ago. And most pc users actually play on old garbage systems.
Nothing can compete with gaming in the living room with a 61 inch, 4K HDR tv with a gaming mode. Surround sound setups are sooo much more practical in the living room. However, there is something to be said for the privacy of that designated computer room too. While on paper a well-endowed pc is graphically superior the reality is that most games are made within target capabilities of consoles. Mostly gone are the days of bleeding edge pc games that your console nearly died trying to run at 20fps.
Games are made on consoles first because this is where most of the player base still is. So the developers and publishers will make them for the consoles 1st to get as much sales as possible, then port it to PC in a few months to a few years to make a bit more money. as for TV's Is it really necessary to need a 4k 60+ inch tv and surround sound to get the most enjoyment from your games? A 4k TV is as cheap as £200 to £400 and thats for the 43 to 50 inch range ones. The 60+ inch TV will cost £380 to £650 for the cheap one. Now factor in speakers for surround sound, the price is from £75 to £389 for cheap options. For surround sound i wonder if the cheap options will have good sound and speaker quilaty. If not then you'll have to add maybe £200 plus for some good ones. A console is say 1. £450 to £480 for the disc versions 2. £200+, for a cheap 4K TV ( all have only 60hz refresh rate) 3. £75 for surround sound, 4. Cost of extra controllers and such if needed (some people have families) 5. Subscription for using online multiplayer 6. Game prices are a bit more on consoles than on PC The PC is the better option overall as the total cost of everything above in this day and age can get you a pc that can match the specs of the current gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X. If you buy the parts used and in great condition you can save maybe £200 which you can keep and buy a good TV that has 120 refresh rate or more. Im am curious as to your setup? Do you use console or PC and which one? can you recall the total cost of your TV, console or PC, your surround sound cost, any extra controllers, headsets and subscriptions?
@@beaksaver5361 Well yeah if you take the tv cost too the one I have was like $1000 so then both the price of pc and console are kind of same but the simplicity of just turning on your tv and console and turning on game mode and playing from a distant while relaxing on a couch is just not there on pc. Anyways I saw a few days ago that you can play most games on a pc with a controller so I'm looking towards that to maybe switch towards the pc cus of the customizability and being able to graphically upgrade all games and well being able to pirate almost all games lol by like making a pc setup near the tv. I love modding and stuff but like it takes atleast 4-5 years for modding to come to a console.
Interesting I play my pc in the living room on my 65" 4ktv. The graphics card has an hdmi port and a power cord pretty simple, can run kb/m wireless as well as controllers wireless ove this propaganda that you have to have a desk and monitor, this isn't the 90s using vga and dvi cables 😂 And to the other guy I'm sorry a Google search would tell you there are 1.8 billion pc gamers and continuing to increase. so no consoles are not the primary gamers
@chanithdulnitha9673 I still mostly use the kb/m in most games I have a nerdytec lapboard that I use on my coffee table it powers my peripherals. But the games I do rather play with a controller it depends on the game I have an Xbox one controller and ps5, more games are starting to utilize the dualsense features which is cool but some games I rather use the dualsense cuz of the buttons are just nicer than the xbox controller buttons seem to stick at times. I do want to get the scuff envision pro to replace it cuz it has mechanical buttons and triggers and 5 macro buttons. It's equal to the price of the xbox elite controller.
Consoles are killing the convenience and that graphics rendering gap is closing every year. For what a person would spend on a gaming PC, today that person can get a complete console setup with the VR accessories and a majority of the best games.
If you are casual and don't want to spend too much money console is great but if you want all the eye candy and performance PC is king (and most of the exclusives come to PC anyway)
Lifetime console gamer who bought a pc a couple of years ago. Went with a pre built 3070ti gpu. I gotta say I’m split on this one. Pc gaming for me is where I play all of my competitive games. But I really enjoy single player experiences on PS5. Now that my TV has 120hz I can get smooth framerates on the couch
That’s cool, I’m looking to get a pc as well but I think it’ll only be worth it to get a high end build. If you want the best competitive edge then I would say console is the best platform for it because most people play on 60hz displays and almost all competitive games have a 120fps mode so you’ll have an even greater advantage than you will ever get on pc if you were to spend under $4000 on a setup
@@McGeezle I’m saying if you want the best competitive edge (meaning having better odds at beating your opponent with lower input latency and higher frame rate) in multiplayer games then the console is best for that
@@McGeezle I mean that it doesn’t matter how much fps you get, to actually have an edge it all depends on what your competitors are running and on PC most people are running high fps with Ethernet and 1ms monitors so you won’t get as big of an advantage. Console on the other hand if you don’t cross play with PC, most gamers on there use bad wifi and a 60hz tv with high input delay so just getting and Ethernet and a decent 120hz display will give you a far bigger advantage then PC ever will. Even if you have a $4000+ PC, your advantage will still be way smaller than running 120fps vs 60fps on console because the higher you go up in fps the less of a difference it makes. For instance 60hz to 120hz is an 8ms difference while 120hz to 240hz is only a 4ms difference
Affordability as a bit tricky as console HW is known to be sold cheaply but they then milk you with more expensive games and subscription to play multiplayer so in long term comparably powerful PC to console which is roughly twice the console price can even out after a few years of buying more expensive games and keeping subscriptions and then becomes even cheaper. Exclusivity - There are a few AAA titles that are only on certain console but there are far more games that are PC only, whole genres - mainly strategy games or indie dev titles. Mods - Many PC games have extra content (longevity) or tweaks so you can play the game the way you like without parts you think are annoying. For non-english speakers - Console version often has limited language selection. On PC you can often get extra language support via community updates or mods. PC doesn't need to be the most expensive one on the market. You can just downgrade settings and many games still look good and are playable. You really don't need 4K resolution as that would make difference only with big TV but it won't make much difference if you lower resolution with regular sized monitor. I have 5 year old laptop that cost about 1K and it still capable of running most games. Nowadays indie devs make more interesting games and those are not that HW demanding. There is absolutely no reason to play the newest AAA title now as there are so many other games to play. I can wait a few years when I upgrade PC and then I can play them with better settings.
I have a strong PC and can play games at launch... But I just don't feel like I miss out when I can buy it later, for cheaper, and with a lot of bug fixes and possibly even mods
You can do so much with a computer like browse the web, write papers, edit photos, and play games. Oh that is right you can do most of those things on your phone nowadays. It all depends on the person and what they want. I want to play a game now and then without worrying about if it is going to work or not. There is still people that play the original Nintendo and playstation. Most computers are obsolete after 5 years. Yes most of the time they can be upgraded but many times people move on to the latest and greatest.
You don't have to spend $2,500 to get a good gaming PC. My HP PC came with a AMD Ryzen 5-5600G processer AMD Radeon RX 5500 graphics card cost $550 and I can run games like Red Ded Redemption Two, Cyber Punk 2077 , Witcher 3, & Shadow Of The Tomb Raider on high settings at 1080p and get over 60fps. Yes I did add a 2TB SSD witch brought the price up to $690. I can also hook it up to my 55" 4K smart TV and play at 1440p. I'm 73 & retired so if I spent $2,500 on a pc my wife would hang my out too dry. Keep up the good work my friend
As a working adult/parent, I don't have a lot of time to game. Whenever I turned on my Xbox One, it needed an update. And the OS itself is was so slow, that I would move onto something else. The lack of frustration is why I ended up becoming a PC gamer. I typically don't invest in huge game libraries anymore. For the few titles I play, they're optimized the best they can be.
@@JJFlores197 Both my PC and XBox are hooked up to wired internet 400mbps. I feel like the Xbox updates at a snails pace. Don't know if it's OS related, but I'm not a hardcore gamer. Diablo IV on my PC and NVidia driver updates will usually occur in under a minute.
I'm with you there, although my last console was an xbox 360/ wii u. PC still has updates of course but they are so quick it doesn't matter and usually end up installing at the end of the day when I turn it off.
@@tguit-fiddler5692 I've softened my tone a bit on Xbox being slow. The quick resume feature on the Series X is a game changer. Picked one up on holiday discount for $350. I can often get in and out of a title within 10 seconds. Hard to get get that kind of performance out of a PC for that little money.
All console should just go to PC. Every time a new console come out, they re-optimise a game to that new console and sell it for the same price whether physical or digital : you owning the PS4 version doesn't mean you own the PS5 version, nor the Xbox version, nor the Switch version. Backward compatibility my ass. Console are just good for exclusive that stay exclusive forever.
I'm mostly team PC. I say mostly because I have a nintendo switch and plan to get a switch 2 when that comes out. I think for me and my life, PC and a portable nintendo system works the best.
All concoles used to be backwards compatible, its actually a knew thing for them not to be... once it went to disks every next gen used to be able to play the old games.
XBox is backwards compatible. Now that we're leaning heavily toward digital, it should theoretically be easier to make it backwards compatible unless a drastic change in the chip is made, such as the one Nintendo is cooking up. Unsure about PS5.
So many pc fanboys too quickly to jump on the "i can do other things besides gaming" thats not the fucking point we are talking about gaming, i have a pc with a 3070 in it and i find myself playing my xbox and Playstation more say what you will about the limits of the systems but i can barely tell the difference other than a few more fps on a computer that cost me almost 1000$ more lol
I’m a pc gamer and I’ve been thinking about maybe buying a Xbox series x with game pass because I just want to simply sit down and play a game like Doom or Star Wars Battlefront 2 game without worrying if my computer will be able to play AND record clips just fine. I’m not looking for the best graphics. (however good graphics never hurt) I’m just looking to have fun with me and maybe my friends depending on what game I’m playing.
If you're planning to just use GamePass, consider getting the S instead since you can save few dollars. This is only under the assumption that you can manage with 512GB. If you get external storage from the official Seagate partner, then you're better off buying the X. Have both. I love that I can keep all my games on the PC via Steam and the free ones from Epic. GamePass is best in value though, especially on a budget.
Im a harcore pc and VR gamer. But i love e easy to use consoles, an i dont play every game on the planet. I play way more consoles now than my PC rigg..
For me just to run my games with no lag or issues I had to buy a 4000$ pc, I get jealous that console players can spend less and have no lag with good graphics,
@@MrKylemu1000sounds like you don't know how to built pc so you buyed costly components and calling now pc is overpriced 🤦🤦 Not everything is not meant to be play on high setting be mature to reduse the graphics also. And ya ps5 and 3060ti are same even ps5 is cam with locked fps.
What are you doing man? I put my my PC together for $1400 and I don't have a single issue running any game. I have some games with over 500 mods and everything runs seamlessly. Whenever I see people making posts about stuttering, CTDs and lag on PC games I wonder if they actually own a PC or if they are making a spiteful post to discredit something they know very little about. My rig is nothing special whatsoever and I have never had a problem with any game. If you had a properly built $4000 computer it would decimate any console in performance by several orders of magnitude.
My limited experience in playing on a PC, had it so difficult to use a controller to play some of those games, because a good chunk of them wasn't controller supported, so many hoops in the settings just to set it up. It is probably different now, but it has already soured my experience with PC gaming. That and the fact that I have more friends on my console than I do on pc, can you ask cross play is becoming more prevalent but not every game is cross-play right now.
My big thing lately is that PC ports of games have been hot garbage for a while now, with this year seemingly taking the crown more so than past years. I invested in a top tier rig this past holiday with a 7900 XTX, Ryzen 5800X3D, custom water cooling, the works… so to have new games crop up that run like absolute hog wash right out of the gate release after release bums me out. It’s bummed me out so much so that I game on my consoles even still, where I at least have a playable and enjoyable experience mostly free from extreme stutter and comparatively atrocious performance.
Good video but you're missing a major PC flaw: bad port of console games. Look at 2023 so far all thes buggy PC port unplayable: forespoken, last of us part 1, wo long, wild heart, Gotham Knights (2022) nd recently Jedi survivor...I'm a console gamer who is/was seriously looking into leaving consoles to PC but I might stay on consoles as games are just better optimized. What's the point of having amazing hardware if you end up playing buggy games, with frameware deeps and stuttering issues? PC gaming is not what it used to be anymore.
Is not a PC flaw, it is a problem with bad games and bad devs. And they aren't console games, they are cross platform. I'm reliving my nostalgia by playing the Spyro remake trilogy on PC, i won't give my money to those devs.
1) i can agree cost of entry goes to the console. Cost of long term goes to pc. Hardware lasts longer, no subscriptions i built my pc during last gen paid 1250.00 after tax and just bought a used 3070 for 300.00 in ot 1550.00 sounds expensive right? Between last gen and current gen up to current date with bare minimum subscription tier PS users have spent 1820.00 before tax this doesnt include the middle tier or high tier subscriptions. This doesnt include extra periphials this doesnt include replacement consoles or mid gen refresh buyers. So overall cost goes to the PC. 1.1) my pc is hooked up to my tv in the living room no need for a monitor and aditional speakers or a desk. Kb/m hooked up to a nerdytec lapboard that uses 1 cable that goes to the back of the pc and everything plugs into the board its pretty cool or could use wireless periphials, or a controller as well. So able to do this with both console and pc. I'd make this pretty even maybe a point more for console but its really not anything more difficult. Next please. 2) hardware ok console a closed market got it. Games and ports on pc have minimum specs and recommended specs and when games are being developed they release those so you already know ahead of time. And majority of new games are being developed to run on some hardware from 2017 and older between both min and recommended, some new games the min is the older and recommended could be between 2017-2020 hardware. People that have the newest graphics cards get to benefit from it. So if you havent upgraded a gpu from 2013-2015 new demanding games sure probably wont run well. If youre an esports only player you dont need the most most powerful pc and they turn settings down anyway for performance over pretty graphics. Point goes to PC because hardware lasts longer and dont have generations and hardware upgrades arent always mandatory usually replace what you have to when its time which is cheaper than a console for the most part, some are more but will last through the next generation. Next.... 3)ease of use???? Pc and consoles both have a power cable and both have a video cable (hdmi) yes can also use a display port with pc. Both can plug into a tv just the same and power on, both can plug into a monitor. Sounds difficult. Both are even here 3.1) Drivers??? Both have drivers goofy the firmware updates on consoles is a driver and they take longer to download on a console buy a new console you have to do the firmware update and when they pop up. I havent touched all my drivers in a very long time on the pc cuz i havent NEEDED too besides when i bought that 3070 a couple months ago and replaced my old gpu thats the only driver i installed took 1-2 min to download and install. Time your consoles next firmware update to download and complete to get you back to gaming. Point to pc because all drivers are not always mandatory sometimes a new game or game update if you havent updated drivers in 2yrs. Only time i update drivers is if a new game says they need to be or noticing issues after a game update. 4) exclusives this is a convo people do not want to have. PC has significantly more exclusives than console, all xbox fisrt party games are on pc. Sony after helldivers 2 doing better on pc sales than console sales will probably start thinking about going day to date. Plus psn is on pc so some of those exclusives if they have a ps4 port can be played on pc. Exclusives are anti consumer and bad for gaming some people doesnt matter what platform you play on just dont want a certain plastic box and ive never been an xbox guy but what they are doing by meeting people in the middle and putting their services on not just pc but other non primary gaming devices like some smart tvs, smart phones. Android boxes and whatever can reach the cloud and even putting games over on PS is amazing let people play games. Sony take notes both xbox and ps should do this day to date cmon pro flex put your logo on that load screen when booting up the game on a different plastic box. Nintendo you should do the same. Sega has done it for decades. Points to pc just has much much much more games to play and has the absolutely best backwards compatibility with older games that were released on all platforms because of no generations, can also emulate games that never made it to pc. 5) entertainment device well my pc is hooked to my tv i know not everyone does and can do all that can also run kodi. But if you have a smart tv do you really need a console for this? In the sake of pc vs console for subscription services ok console gets the point. For all purpose entertainment from subscriptions, kodi, youtube and other sources pc smokes the console once again. Next.... 6) absolutely yes you are in control of your experience you want. Whether is a 20$ pc case or anywhere up to a 400$ case and other asthetics which can always be swapped out later if you start with basic fans and want rgb lighting fans. Or keep the fans and put an rgb strip in. Type of cooling, but most important is the hardware, you dont need to spend top dollar for every bit of it for a good experience, can buy that 100$ motherboard and a compatible cpu of your choice and whichever gpu you want for whatever experience you want. Or can buy 150$ used workstation pc slap in whatever gpu and enjoy the performance and graphical upgrade over a console and have a pretty powerful pc to do other tasks. Its called having options and freedom. I agree with you 7) ive touched on it pc has the game preservation and "backwards compatibility" on lock. And no consoles dont really have very good backwards compatibility. The series x marketed as it but has like 60/990 og xbox games that are backwards compatible but have to download it off their sevices when putting in the disk ive seen they are relying on their services as well as sony and nintendo to play older games on the new consoles. Another point to the pc. Also the big one CHEAPER GAMES and more store fronts from steam, epic, uplay, battlenet, origin, and cd key sites that are wonderful if none of those stores are running sales. Man i love having choices 8) touched on subscriptions in the cost earlier. Pc is cheaper long term 9) periphals that another big one. Yea you kinda stuck on what they want you to use. 60-70 or 80 now for a basic compatible controller and up to 200+ for the pro, esport, modded controllers. On pc you have a wide variety which is good because you have again CHOICES so can buy a 20$ Kb/m combo or all the way up to the couple hundreds not all mice and keyboards are created the same, membrane, linear, the different mechanical keyboards, plastic or metal frames. Mice differnt dpi, and custom button layouts, softwares to set up for multiple different games. Having choices is amazing 10) multi functionality having a modern gpu can have 4 displays up so want to game and record yea you can do that on one no problem but if say some reason it stops recording you might not know til its too late or streaming and want to connect with your audience. Or use the display for whatever else while in game. Or make it a wider display pretty cool in racing games too. Also if its a workstation more than a gaming rig those displays make things so much easier and faster. Multi functionality is a big one. A lot of the basic arguments between the two were touched but as you can see from going console to pc myself all the misleading false topics that sway people away from pc is false, theres not one thing that makes modern consoles comparable to pc except cost of entry. The corporations for this gen has lied to their consumers multiple times oh 60fps will be standard yea alot of games are still capped at 30 or have frame dips due to limitations of the hardware. APUs are good for somethings even some pcs do just as good if not better in with APUs in most titles currently some probably not. Backwards compatibility on the series consoles have been laughable from what ive seen. Claim native 4k but admit its 1440p upscaled to 4k so thats not native. Pc 4k is 4k, 1440 is 1440 but your tv or monitor can upscale it. Also console people still believe they are plug and play which they are not you still have updates, xbox doesnt have the game on the disc anymore its a physical key to play it. Sony at this time most atleast have 1.0 on the disk not all games do tho. Ive heard this plug and play argument from many youtubers and say after hooking up their console got everything setup within 2 hours including after updates and game install they were able to play. A damn prebuilt pc will take you 5 min to setup windows, 2 min to install chrome instead of using edge. Install and setup steam take you a couple min buy your game install it start it youll be gaming faster than you will with a console and hey play that game while downloading another. Hell someone expirenced could build and install windows and even the drivers installed and in game before someone with a console would be, some motherboards have built in bios update you can do when powering on making that go even faster.
grew up with the SEGA Master System 2 and the NES. Got my first Pre Built PC in 1996 (Pentium 1 for the win XD), went with PC ever since. Having a few Consoles here and there and playing sometimes, for nostalgia reasons like (modded) PS2, PS3, PS4 Pro, XBox 360, Dreamcast, WiiU and Intellivision.

You're kidding yourself. PC is superior in every way aside from being more complicated and more expensive. Consoles have a place and are great for what they are. An entry level machine capable of providing a fairly smooth gaming experience.
I would say that consoles having better loading times and features like loading into different parts of the game. They are also better for competitive play because most people have the same hardware. If you want an edge then you can easily get a monitor or pro controller and have a huge advantage for only $200 compared to how much you’ll have to pay for a pc advantage, like $2000+ Consoles like ps5 also has better integration so you don’t have to have multiple apps running like discord, steam, and a screen recording app. There are also features like SharePlay and remote play that’s integrated and the value of price to performance is off the charts. $400 for a PS5 that plays better than most $1000 PC is something that’s remarkable and no pc can ever get that performance at such a low price. And all consoles are in stock now too so no inflated prices
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL Yes, as you have to pay for online multiplayer on console, accessoires for consoles are much more expensive, if your hardware goes bad you have swap out the whole thing and games are way more expensive in console. I upgraded my PC from Intel i7 4790k to AMD Ryzen 5 7600x with around 500$ and it would kill any console in performance. Don't get me wrong, i love Playstation as i own a PS1, 2x PS2, a PSP, 2x PS3 and a PS4 but PC is master race and i'd take a PC over a console any day. You also have to include the work you can do with a PC, as i also do video editing, music production and running a small business with it. Consoles are great for casual games who are not into modding or hardware and don't feel the need to play skill-based games i guess...
@@Vict0ry_Cs I’m not sure about that, the paying for online thing really is free when you think about all the discounts and free games you get for the subscription and with used games and sales, PS5 games are the same as PC games most of the time. I have a PC as well and as a whole my games even out. About the hardware going bad, that normally happens more with PC than new gen consoles and if you do have to replace it, it’ll still be cheaper than replacing just one part from a PC like the gpu As for performance, professionals have stated that the PS5 is of similar performance to a 2070 super and that’s like a $1000 build when the console is only $400 for the digital so I don’t think a $500 Pc could compete. As far as adding the extra stuff you can do on a PC, that just makes it a completely different device overall and can’t be compared to a gaming console at that point because they serve 2 different purposes. That’s like looking for a camera and comparing a Canon camera to a smartphone and saying the smartphone is the better but because you can do more things on it. Lastly I think most PC owners forget that the new gen consoles are way different and better than old gen and more like PCs when it comes to performance. I think most of the Cons that people bring up come from their experiences with old gen. I have a 4070 build and the difference in performance isn’t as noticeable as the upgrade from PS4 to PS5. I also believe that skill based games and competitive play is equal if not better on console, but that’s another conversation lol But yea I think both are good in their own way and that it’s really just subjective on which one is better for an individual.
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL exactly good point .. pc is good of course it's like an expensive Range Rover .. I mean it got it's features. But I think PS5 is more like a Corvette.. I mean do you really need extra cup holders etc.
Let's not forget one major factor. How long does a console last before you have to buy a new one? Also, consoles do require TVs majority of us have so the analogy of having to buy a monitor for your PC is not a big deal. That's not forget. Gaming laptops. Very portable very capable of gaming that's only for gaming laptops, not regular laptops
The cost of PC gaming versus Consol gaming is not even close. I know I have spent well over $25,000 on PCs without even doing any quick math in my head. I might be closer to $50,000 maybe one day I’ll figure it out. Even if I would have bought every single console that came out I would be nowhere near that even with the subscription fees added in
Console is way better by far except it doesn’t scratch my itch for real time strategy games. There are days I long for a StarCraft or sim city session.
LMFAO.... PC GAMES ARE BUG RIDDEN GARBAGE AND OLD PORTS. AND HAVE FUN PLAYING PC ONLINE WITH CHEATERS, HACKERS AND MODDERS IN EVERY SINGLE GAME. BECAUSE $6 A MONTH FOR A SUPERIOR ONLINE SERVICE THAT INCLUDES 40 PLUS GAMES A YEAR IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 OH AND GOOD LUCK BRINGING ABOUT FRAMERATES WHEN CONSOLES WIN EVERY SINGLE YEAR WHEN IT COMES TO BEST VISUALS GRAPHICS ARTS ANIMATION SOUND. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LMFAO.... Just to play online? So don't mention the 40+ games included every year. The unlimited cloud storage. The discounts on games. Oh, and the superior online service. But yeah you keep playing with cheaters and no upside on PC. 😂😂😂😂
Three things you ommited about PC Gaming: while I'm not denying anything you said in favor of it... -Often (though not always), the PC port of a game will be by far the worst at launch. Why can my PS5/Xbox Series X, heck sometime even my PS4/Xbox One S can run games *far* better than their PC counterparts until they get massive update? -Yes, online gaming for PC is free for the most part, but it's also the system which is by far the most plagued with cheaters. -What you said all make sense for a single player view point, but not from a local multiplayer one. If I want to invite my friends to play games, I'll pull out my PS5, Xbox Series X or Nintendo Switch and hand them over a controller (or ask them to bring their owm) and poof, we're ready to play. It's not something you can do with PC Gaming, or at least, nowhere near as conveninently.
i kinda am both, i ujsed to play all my games on ps4, but then i bought a pc and started to play all my games on that pc. But when the ps5 came out, i was to tempted to buy it and im very happy i did. Because now i found a very good balance in them, i play fps games like fortnite and rocket league (and obviously minecraft) on pc and play my rpg games like god of war and spiderman, and also fifa on the ps5. So you dont have to be a pc or console player. You can be both if you just find the right balance for yourself!
Steam Deck has blurred the line between Console and PC. It is console by heart. Designed to to ONE thing. Play games. And it works superb. It is PC. Personal Computer. If you want to use like computer use desktop mode. Hook it to TV, yes. Hook it to Desktop monitor, yes. Take it with you.
I have more fun playing games on PC thanks to the powerful CPUs, RAM and storage. Meanwhile, current consoles feel laggy AF. You don't need an absurdly powerful graphics card for gaming on PC, something like 4090 is for niche people that do blender renders in seconds and having similar real time computer graphics on games and 4K. After the XBOX 360 gen, something changed, consoles started to use PC architecture and optimization got worse, games increased in price and started to lose their quality, and you have a non-linear increase between price and quality of game.
There was a test done by digital foundry that actually showed that the ps5 has lower input latency than a $1000 Pc, so most of that feeling is placebo for a lot of people. You can also upgrade your storage with any size ssd on console and ps5 has the fastest loading times even when compared to $3000 PCs
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL "digital foundry that actually showed that the ps5 has lower input latency than a $1000 Pc" Impossible. PS5 uses a CPU slower than an AMD Ryzen 3000 series one. We are currently on the 7000 series, also, you have a PS5 connected to a TV, not a top tier gaming monitor. PS5 doesn't have the fastest loading times either, you don't need a 3000 dollar PC. There are cheap and extremely fast SSDs with high capacity for 70 bucks nowadays.
If you seen the video then you would know that the tests were done on a high end asus rog 360hz monitor. The ps5 also has like an apu design meaning the gpu and cpu share the same ram and are made together. This alone provides lower input latency than a separate gpu and cpu. Lastly tests have shown that the ps5 loading times are faster because they use 5th gen nvme ssds even before they were out on pc. I have a Samsung 980 pro in my ps5 as well as the stock ssd and I can confirm that games load faster on the stock ssd by a decent amount
This is the exact title of the digital foundry video if you want to see it and it was an nvidia sponsored video and ps5 still won technically. “[Sponsored] Nvidia Reflex - PC vs PlayStation 5 Input Lag - Lowering Latency For Better Gaming”
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL The 980 pro is not the fastest SSD, it's kinda dated by today's standards, and a 360Hz LCD monitor doesn't matter, still has more motion blur than a CRT at 60Hz, LCDs also lack contrast, color and black levels, it's the worst tech ever for gaming, worse than Plasma, OLED and CRT. A Sony GDM FW900 is what i call a high end monitor. Scanlines beating backlight strobbint, black frame insertion and non-existant lag, OLED-like colors, contrast and black levels (on a dark room or a CRT with a black display layer that absorbs light which is pretty rare).
PC gaming often receives undue praise, and it's essential to consider a few realities. Firstly, PC gaming frequently grapples with hardware compatibility issues and subpar ports of games. Additionally, many multiplayer games on PC suffer from a persistent cheating problem. Moreover, the rising costs of PC components make them a more expensive option than the plug-and-play convenience of consoles. These are just a few examples of the drawbacks worth acknowledging.
These days to have a good performance edge on pc it’s too expensive. Consoles have came a long way. Finding a pc that plays titles at or beyond the same resolution and refresh rate is just too expensive imo. Now if you’re going to drop thousands than it makes sense
That affordability argument... You don't need speakers if you plug it to the TV. Mouse and keyboard are very cheap. A pc gamepad costs the same as a console gamepad, often cheaper.
I always laugh when people state that playing on consoles lets you play 'exclusives'. Basically, there's 50 times more exclusives on PC, including AAA titles like Total Wars, Grand Strategy games like Hearts of Iron or Europa Universalis, or massive amount of indie games. It is not even comparable with waiting 1 year for the next Spider Man game, or FF VII Remake on PC.

i might just switch over to console this year. i was playing pc exclusive for i dont know how many years. since a kid and early pc days. been there done that, was one of those weird pc nerds back in the day...pc masterrace, lets go...steam account is 16 years old now aswell. but right now with 34y old, i just got tired of all that crap tbh. i dont wanna mess around with everything, modding everything, bugfixing everything, trying to make everything work as a part time job because of bad pc ports and sht. i just value the beauty of simplicity way more nowadays. neither do i need or want 5 billion ways of customizing something for me just to do the same things in the end. i just want something to work, thats it. every hour i dont need to spend on that stuff is an hour more lifetime i have for more important things. The more and more hardware specs and numbers i have in my head, the less fun i actually have playing games... and i see that stuff down in the comments here aswell, people argueing about: that many fps and this panel is crap and thats is bad and it needs to have 0,2ms input delay less because its unplayable and ehh this and that and mimimimi... YO... the most fun i ever had with games where back in the day at a friends house playing super nintendo games... do you remember ANY kids back the argueing about that super markio kart is unplayable because the tv had 0,021ms to much input delay or the screen size was 0,04 inches too small oder the panel could have been better or whatnot? NO!!! we didnt care... we just played the games and had fun! O.o i m also really tired of how much space a pc setup takes up. desks, multiple screens, desktop pc, microphones.. all that takes up sp much space of a room, if you live in a compact size home. i love hifi and speakers and just having a little box under my tv and a laptop laying around somewhere when i need to do some pc work just sounds so much better to me atm. Its not a cost thing anymore either. because this setup of laptop + console often than not is way cheaper than owning a gaming pc. A simple work laptop you ll get for free most of the time from your work. because 80% of jobs nowadays require people to have a pc on hand, they mostly give some basic work laptops out for you to use. just use that one for pc work. and consoles and expensive? Heck, you ll get an xbox series x all access for 32 bucks a month, wich includes gamepass and is even cheaper than buying the console itself. and also since gameconsoles went digital, the key reseller market has caught up on it too. if i go to websides like keysforsteam and look for some game keys to buy online, the steam keys are not really cheaper than the xbox keys most of the time. they are about equal.
I don’t own a pc but the main reason why I want one is because of the free online multiplayer… sure Xbox has game pass but you don’t own those games and you still have to pay for it… multiplayer should be free
Console is for casuals who have a competitive side and want to just play the game straightforward. This same definition can be applied towards a pc gamer too but i feel like if your serious about gaming and want the FULL immersion, PC is hands down the best. Console is cool too but to me its just an immature option to only have a console unless your broke now and cant afford it i understand but you might as well keep the console save up and buy a pc, then use the console for exclusives or whenever you just wanna chill on the couch and load up a little NBA 2k , Forza, NHL Etc, you know the casual stuff. That explains why streamers who only played console switch to pc and still use a controller, because in the end pc is better they just prefer to use a controller.
You went back 20 years and listed: A garbage looking paid online MMO from 2004. A VR flop that required a $1,000 to not be gimped trash that Forbrs said was a commercial flop. I also use a OLED ultra wide monitor that's 175hz
On Call of Duty games on PC, I've always been required to use keyboard and mouse in the menus. ALWAYS! This is disturbing. Also there is a ton of games on PC that require KB and M. Some games have half support and like I said in some games require a KB and M on menus before the game plays. It's rather annoying. Which is why I like console gaming more. It's 100% controller support. While on PC it's roughly 50 to 75% contoller support. I also hate functioning in all those graphics settings, loading up Steam, signing in to Steam, verify with email, install a game, now adjust graphics. OMG, just horror. I like it easier on console. One last thing to add is I own over 500 games on PS12345. On Xbox and PC I own mostly the same games, while 3 PC exclusives and 18 Xbox console exclusives. So as I own the most games already on PlayStation consoles, I will keep going with PS consoles.
I was always a PC gamer, but recently bought a PS5 for the exclusives. While PC is unbeatable in terms of graphics and performance, the PS5 is still very enjoyable experience for me and the graphics are decent.

Why are pc gamers always trying to prove a point. I havent seen any console gamer say they are better than pc where do pc gamers get this idea from. It personal choice who cares i don't.
Because console gamers are validated. Every award show, every gaming site, every written publication.... CONSOLES WIN. GOTY, visual GOTY, most critically acclaimed, best known games, characters, franchises... CONSOLES WIN. What does PC have? All You ever see PC gamers do is brag that they're going to get an old console port. They literally don't have any of their own games to brag about.
most gamers do not know what a gaming console is a console is a pre built gaming pc it all ways has been all ways will be games are far more optimized for consoles than will ever be for pc
The main reasons I stick to console over PC despite have the funds to afford a top gaming PC are the following. 1) Most games that come out that have the most issues are PC games that are ported over from a console game. I understand it is harder to optimize for every different PC rig setup whereas with consoles there are not too many variations to the hardware. 2) I do not like the feeling of coming home from working on a PC at work and still being on a PC to play games. I always feel like I am still at work. I also do not like the feel of the keyboard and mouse set up in my hands. A controller help me feel more part of the game with the feedback I get. I know PC do have the option to have controllers, but that is not what you often see with PC gamers. 3) The People in PC gaming tend to be a little too pretentious to newcomers. It often becomes a pissing match on who has the most powerful PC set up. Who would what to spend time relaxing playing a game with those kind of people. Not saying we do not have toxic players on console however, it is not often over hardware-based issues.
A thing that hurted console gaming so much for me is that current TVs are so garbage for games, hardware kinda stagnated, games nowadays are so expensive and killed the value for owning a console? I have my Gamecube and Wii still connect to a big old Trinitron CRT TV and we lost the responsiveness of pressing a button and the input being processed instantly on the game/display, and no motion blur. The only way for me to get a similar gaming experience is through PC gaming, still, i absolutely hate LCD screens and OLEDs aren't good enough.
You can get games cheaper through discs and psn subscription and you could easily get a monitor for the ps5 or a 4K 120hz tv for under $500 to get a good experience
I never heard of CRT monitors but I’m pretty sure you can play console on any monitor that you can play Pc on because most have hdmi ports. Ik that IPS and OLED monitors are good as well, I have both for my setup.
Imagine spending 2,500 on a pc to realize GTA 6 won’t have a day one release and have to turn around and pay for a ps5 because you have to play it. That’s why I don’t pull the trigger on one. That and graphics cards are too expensive. Wanting people to pay more than what the ps5 cost on just the card, bananas
I'm old enough to just not care about playing a game day one. There are so many game that i didn't play yet. And i will play it soon or later, so... Ans you don't need to put 2500$ to have a ps5 performance.
A point about PC gaming you didnt touch on is that the games are often just cheaper on PC. Not only are most PC games well under the $70 US price point consoles have established, but since there are more competing stores for your games they often do sales and deals to get you to buy from them. Some stores even give you free games just to get you in the door. Since the consoles manufacturers are phasing out physical, this becomes a big talking point. Another point worth considering is PC parts get cheaper over time while consoles have lately been staying the same price for longer periods of time. I just built a $500 budget PC that is roughly equivalent to the PS5 power-wise. So for the same price as a PS5, you get all of the benefits that come with PC gaming with an equivalent system.
What are the specs of the £500 budget PC you built. I am not certain that it would be close to the PS5 in terms of specs. Did you buy all the parts used? Unless i am mistaken you would surely have to spend £700 plus to meet or get close to a PS5s specs?
@@beaksaver5361 Ryzen 5500 and Radeon 6600, Simple setup. Everything was bought new on a summer sale at Newegg. The CPU is almost dead-on power-wise, the GPU is a little bit less TFLOPS-wise but I only game at 1080p. The rest of the specs are 32 gigs of DDR4, 2tb m2 nvme drive and misc 500w power supply and case and a mini-ATX b550 motherboard from Gigabyte. Came out to just over $500 USD with taxes. Keep in mind you are in the UK, I have no idea what the prices for components are over there.
I sort of go both ways. The reason for this has more to do with my PC needs, and I suspect others are in the this same boat. In today's world of work anywhere, plug in anywhere, being tied down to a desktop is just not realistic. So, to assume your gaming PC is going to be your only PC is incorrect. Most people own some sort of laptop. It doesn't have to be a 2500 dollar Apple cult product. Chromebooks or an inexpensive Windows laptop can do the job. So, with that in mind, is the gaming PC still breaking even over the console? Hard to say. I'm a huge X-Plane fan boy. Always wanted to fly, but four kids later, kiss those funds goodbye. So, for me a gaming PC makes sense. Let's be honest, MSFS on console does suck compared to PC. Ultimately, for PC gaming, it's going to come down to the developers. (Speaking as a retired non-gaming software developer.) A lot of their code is bloated, has memory leaks and appears to be stuck in terminal beta. If the gaming houses actually applied themselves, they could write outstanding games with amazing graphics on today's PC hardware, including on the lower end PC graphics hardware. This would put PC gaming ahead by a long shot. If your machine can run outstanding games for the next 10 years then yes, it's worth every penny you pay vs. console.
I was a PC gamer most of my life (actually I was one of those rare Mac gamers in the 90s) and only recently moved most of my gaming to consoles. I work in webdev so I already spend 8+ hours in front of my laptop (has to be a laptop because of hybrid working) so I'm not in the mood for staying more hours in front of it for gaming. I have a laptop with a 4600H and a GTX 1650 for the stuff I play with my PC mates (WoW, LoL, Dota 2, some strategy games, etc.) or the random Game Pass gem, and play everything else on the PS5 in my couch. Won't say PC is inferior because it's not and this might change in the next couple of generations that I plan to keep gaming, it's just that I feel that at my current lifestyle it's not for me.
I have been on pc for about 7 years strictly for gaming only, now with all these bad ports coming out on PC and parts being super expensive I don't see the value.. so instead going with a 83" oled and a ps5!
@@GREENGAMER41 they do on every platform. if you think games dont come out in a broken state on consoles, you must be delusional. jedi survivor dips as low as 640p and framerates can drops as low as the teens. forspoken was in a similar, but better state. redfall was broken, ff16 is literally shutting down ps5s. the only real saving grace here is most of these games, if ran on a high end system could just be brute forced to run well. tlou for example can be ran at 4k60+ on a 4080, 4090, 7900xt, 7900xtx. while on console that game still dips in the 20s. even with vrr enabled it wont maintain 40fps.
Has anyone tried making pc+long hdmi2.1 to huge tv+controller setup? I wanna buy a pc and then connect it to my lg c2 , is there a sense to make pc to become a console style device with tv? Or just better to pick ps or xbox in that case? I just thought i want at least 60fps in games and consoles provide shitty graphics on performance mode(as far as i have researched....) , or maybe that's not the case and better to pick a console? Would appreciate an elaborated answer , and thank you in advance !!
You can definitely connect a pc to a tv and use a controller. The sky’s the limit with pc as far as I’ve heard. However I will say both the ps5 and series x on performance mode still usually hit at least 1080p which is full hd. Sure it’s not 1440p or 4k like pc but for the price at $500 it’s pretty good. However to get 1440p and especially 4k on pc that’s likely going to be a lot more money than the new consoles.
You can't be serious. I can play any game at ultra settings in 1440p at 144fps. Using a thumbstick to aim can't hold a candle to a mouse. We also have mods and trainers.

@johnnylawrence7509 umm...consoles don't win best graphics and art direction. It's the GAMES that win best graphics and art direction awards. The platform with the most powerful CPU and GPU are going to have the best visuals and frame rate, which is the PC. But you obviously can't comprehend that, and you have obviously never seen a game running on a $3000 PC like mine. It just doesn't feel the same as a console. I have a 3090, not the best pc but pretty decent, and the temptation to return to console gaming is powerful.
I look at it this way. I was an Xbox one guy and all my friends had Xbox then as we got older we all made the switch to pc. It started with one of my friends got his pc then every one got one because no one likes gaming alone
I find this Console vs PC argument to be very stupid. The argument of consoles vs PC is petty and in my opinion it only exist to shame those who prefer the other side’s contender. There is no reason for someone over 18 to use a console, and this is why PC IS the platform from 30 to 60, and 48% from 18 to 30. Console are easy and cheap, this is why they are over 80% in the 8-15year age range. There is no better or worse, it’s a matter of who you are and what you want. If you’re a daddy in need for a toy for your son, go for a ps5, or Nintendo. If you know nothing about video games, a super casual gamer, go for a PS5/xbox or nintendo. fir anything else, buy a PC.
No reason for people over 18 to play on console? Why is that? It's now what I use for my other project. Never saw the appeal of PC gaming despite the advantages I know it has over consoles, and even after trying it out, I was still not convinced. Not saying PC gaming is crap. Of you like PC gaming, then all the power to you. But your first sentense is pure and utter bullshit.
Sure pc costs more but with that cost where PlayStation and Xbox comes out with a new system every 4-5 years and pay to play online you can pay about double but your pc can last 10 years before it’ll need to be upgraded and you don’t have to pay a subscription to play online
Not true. Playstation 4 has been out for 10 years now and Xbox One and games are still being released on them even though PS5 and Xbox Series X/S have been out almost 3 years now. Many games like Sonic Frontiers are on all consoles including Nintendo Switch.
Your PC will last 10 years before it needs to be upgraded? Not sure your can even run the latest game with the best setup, unless at bare minimum graphics, at which level even a base PS4 (not the pro) will make the same game look better.

But their not.

Former console gamer here (circa late 1980's with Master System/NES and possibly Atari)
In my years on console I had fun and whatnot. Then when the millenia came I was still on console up till the Wii-U and PS4. Then I decided to go to PC gaming and built my first budget pc in full tower case (Cooler Master HAF-X) in 2011/2012. Then the rest is history.
In my time on PC here are the benefits ive gotten that were barely on console
1. Free multiplayer online/no yearly paywall to access online multiplayer
2. Multitasking
3. Multiple displays off a single gpu
4. Upgradibility of components
5. Repairing of components at the component level (not happened to me yet but its an option)
6. Emulation all the way back the 1980's.
7. Backwards compatibility (I don't need to force myself to get a console from decades ago just to play a game/cart/disc)
8. Huge support for peripherals from different things (guitars, amps, controllers, keyboards, mice, drawing equipment and soo much more to name)
9. Overclocking
10. Different form factor cases (Small all the way to super sized cases)
11. Multiple hard drives in Raid 0 or Raid 1
12. Different cooling options
13. Different board configurations (from Mini itx/ M-ATX/ATX and Server grade workstation motherboards)
14. Non RGB or RGB
15. Freedom
16. DIfferent vendors to buy games from and not stuck with just a single store (Steam sales/GOG/G2A/Green Man Gaming/Humble Bundle/etc)
IT'S CALLED A SMARTPHONE. 😂😂😂
A console is say
1. £450 to £480 for the disc versions
2. £200+, for a cheap 4K TV ( all have only 60hz refresh rate)
3. £75 for surround sound,
4. Cost of extra controllers and such if needed (some people have families)
5. Subscription for using online multiplayer
6. Game prices are a bit more on consoles than on PC
The PC is the better option overall as the total cost of everything above in this day and age can get you a pc that can match the specs of the current gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X.

I love when people pretend you dont need to buy a tv for your console.
To be honest everyone in the first world already has a 4k tv
i mean youd need a tv as well for the pc no?
You'd need a monitor or you can use a pc
As long as it shows the game you can use anything. Even a CRT 🤡
While on PC in W11 you have to obligatory for no reason use a 720p display.

@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL I don't know what you mean about the competitive advantage thing
@@McGeezle I’m saying if you want the best competitive edge
(meaning having better odds at beating your opponent with lower input latency and higher frame rate)
in multiplayer games then the console is best for that
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL but you can get that even more on pc... I don't get it. Did you mean that you have to spend $4K to get that on pc?
Quite ironic you say that. Its usually the other way around. Windows updates whenever it wants, games update at the most inconvenient of times, etc.
Console has co-op games. Which is so convenient
I like console because all of my friends are on it
Idk, but I know that physical copies of games are always better than DIGITAL GAMES.
Nothing is over rated or under rated, it's your choice to play game with. I like PC and Switch. now my first choice is Switch.
@teratismMaybe English is not the person's first language. Have you ever thought of that?
So many pc fanboys too quickly to jump on the "i can do other things besides gaming" thats not the fucking point we are talking about gaming, i have a pc with a 3070 in it and i find myself playing my xbox and Playstation more say what you will about the limits of the systems but i can barely tell the difference other than a few more fps on a computer that cost me almost 1000$ more lol
Yeah bro like for schoolwork or anything you have your phone or iPad
Back in 2015 I bought an amazing PC, GTX 980, the graphics was amazing, but so many lags! so I left it
Overrated? How can something that isn't relevant be overrated? 😂😂😂😂

So, if you are buying console you don’t need monitor or TV and headset to play games, right?
Me too. I dont play competitive games anymore anyway. And gaming has become quite boring
For me just to run my games with no lag or issues I had to buy a 4000$ pc, I get jealous that console players can spend less and have no lag with good graphics,
That's because you don't know how to use a PC. So if you don't want to learn, you do well to buy a console.

And ya ps5 and 3060ti are same even ps5 is cam with locked fps.
You can build a pc for 600$ lmao
What are you doing man?
I put my my PC together for $1400 and I don't have a single issue running any game. I have some games with over 500 mods and everything runs seamlessly.
Whenever I see people making posts about stuttering, CTDs and lag on PC games I wonder if they actually own a PC or if they are making a spiteful post to discredit something they know very little about. My rig is nothing special whatsoever and I have never had a problem with any game.
If you had a properly built $4000 computer it would decimate any console in performance by several orders of magnitude.
Went pc recently. Cannot go back. I wish I would of invested in one a long time ago…
PC is bad for people with OCD like myself. I spend the majority of the time on the settings rather than playing the game.
Don't forget it's like a switch as well. For example, you can get a steam deck to play your games.
PC is good for a day of gaming console is good for after work consistant fun
Jedi Survivor also runs pretty bad on consoles, nothing has changed, every single AAA game out there is rushed.
@@saricubra2867 i tried to do that with MG Revengence- doesn’t work. PC is far from perfect in back compat.
Both are even here
3.1) Drivers???
I agree with you
7) ive touched on it pc has the game preservation and "backwards compatibility" on lock. Man i love having choices
8) touched on subscriptions in the cost earlier. Pc is cheaper long term
9) periphals that another big one. Yea you kinda stuck on what they want you to use. 60-70 or 80 now for a basic compatible controller and up to 200+ for the pro, esport, modded controllers. On pc you have a wide variety which is good because you have again CHOICES so can buy a 20$
Kb/m combo or all the way up to the couple hundreds not all mice and keyboards are created the same, membrane, linear, the different mechanical keyboards, plastic or metal frames. Mice differnt dpi, and custom button layouts, softwares to set up for multiple different games. Having choices is amazing
10) multi functionality having a modern gpu can have 4 displays up so want to game and record yea you can do that on one no problem but if say some reason it stops recording you might not know til its too late or streaming and want to connect with your audience.

I would say that consoles having better loading times and features like loading into different parts of the game.
They are also better for competitive play because most people have the same hardware. If you want an edge then you can easily get a monitor or pro controller and have a huge advantage for only $200 compared to how much you’ll have to pay for a pc advantage, like $2000+
Consoles like ps5 also has better integration so you don’t have to have multiple apps running like discord, steam, and a screen recording app.
What are you talking about lmao? PCs kill any console when it comes to performance.
@@Vict0ry_Cs so you think a $500 brand new PC would beat a $500 brand new PS5 in performance?
About the hardware going bad, that normally happens more with PC than new gen consoles and if you do have to replace it, it’ll still be cheaper than replacing just one part from a PC like the gpu
As for performance, professionals have stated that the PS5 is of similar performance to a 2070 super and that’s like a $1000 build when the console is only $400 for the digital so I don’t think a $500 Pc could compete.
I also believe that skill based games and competitive play is equal if not better on console, but that’s another conversation lol
But yea I think both are good in their own way and that it’s really just subjective on which one is better for an individual.

I am good with my son's Nintendo Switch. We play Streets of Rage 4, TMNT Shreddars's revenge. I am still playing Fifa 21.

@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL "digital foundry that actually showed that the ps5 has lower input latency than a $1000 Pc"
Impossible.
You’ll allways have more games available to play on a pc then then any console you can play

i m also really tired of how much space a pc setup takes up. desks, multiple screens, desktop pc, microphones.. all that takes up sp much space of a room, if you live in a compact size home. i love hifi and speakers and just having a little box under my tv and a laptop laying around somewhere when i need to do some pc work just sounds so much better to me atm.

Actually you don't know what is the difference between pc and console gaming.
Yes PC Gaming is overrated.
Underated Chanel
@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL A 4K 120Hz TV is more expensive than an entire PC and can't be found under $500.

@@KINGOFDUBSOFFICIAL Normal monitors are LCD based and they are worse tech than CRT for gaming.

Brilliant comment! My laptop is associated with work. I prefer to play on my big screen TV with my son and wife.

1080p looks rough on a 4K display
PC is decent for Microsoft Office and sending emails. As a gaming system consoles blow it out of the water.

I'm 35 years old, and I have a Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X
Tried to go PC Gaming in 2020, a few months before the current gens system camr out, amd only a few months later (and by a fee months, I mean 2 or 3 at most), I've never used my PC for game ever again.
I use mac for gaming.
Great video I’m team console
