When you have peace for so long you forget to arm yourself, until war knock on your door then is too late... I agree with you, I'm a brazilian and also think we should have at least 10 times more fighter jets we currently have and why not a few F22 as well. The Gripen is a good Fighter Jet, but won't stand a chance outside South/Central America.
