We need more bright and cheery suburban horror movies like The Truman Show. Great edit, it really did both the movie and the song justice. I'm glad I'm not the only one to associate Suburbia Overture [and really the whole Normal Album] with The Truman Show.

I recommend vivarium! Being stuck in a suburban life where youre forced to relive the same middle class life over and over again is one of the main themes of the movie!
AMAZING!!! was really hoping you'd line up the second "The lights are on but no ones home" with them realizing he left his house, but still loved it!! the bit where you had "what is he building in that painted lady" over him connecting the picture of the woman that tried helping him escape was incredible! I never would've thought of that!!
This is like corn mash and soy sauce, a mix of two oddly specific things i love but I've never noticed they'd be so good together. Nice edit I absolutely loved it!!!
Just realized i need to go watch this movie, its the perfect kind of existential dread that i enjoy. Unfortunately i spoiled it for myself but walking in on my parents watching this at the VERY last scene, where he walks up the stairs and out the door, so there wont be any mystery, but oh well 😅
the truman show may be my favourite movie ever. it has the balance between blatantly stealing the plot of matrix, my previous favourite and now second favourite, while also building a brand new plot from the ground despite being(?) a movie off of a book suburbia overture is probably my most favourite song ever because of how much can it be used to truman show and how much it radiates the aesthetic of the truman show anyways thank you for coming to my ted talk

One summer, my family went to the beachside town where The Truman Show was filmed. I was young at the time, so I just thought of it as a vacation at first, but something about the place seemed off, even though it was quiet. Clean. Nobody on the streets. It almost felt like all the lights were off in all of the houses. The place was so clean, in fact, that there were never any leaves on any of the paths, except for one time - when we saw them, they were being swept off by a hunched-over, exhausted-looking cleaning crew, dressed in muted colors. We never went back there.
I watched Truman Show only because of this edit And what can I tell you, its a masterpiece. Thank you for being the last straw for me to watch this great film
