JRL Lower speed is used for detail work. After you’re done with your feed, you go back put it on half speed and lightly detail. So you don’t takeoff too much hair. Or create a guideline.
i love the new wahl gold magics... to me they seem like theyre basically seniors, power wise, with the addition of that magnificent staggertooth blade... which is what i was running before they released these new upgraded ones, ive had a staggertooth blade on my seniors for a long time now... always enjoy ur reviews, thank u sir
In my opinion the JRL is the best all around clipper. 4 hr run time. Blades do not get hot. Feels great in the hands. 7,200 rpm’s… lower speed for detail work… great for bulk, fading, clipper over comb… 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐and I think the guards are awesome. Not super premium. But I love the way they grab hair… and the 1/16 guard is the perfect size!!!!!!
I've been saying it since they released even though the first clippers came out with defects, JRL corrected them. The JRLs are very underrated. Looking forward for the new upgrades on the JRL Onyx.
Where do the mythic fall on your list ? I go to barber school in September and was looking at the JRL or Mythic. I have the rebels but I just don’t like them.
@@maine8931 Since I’m a beginner barber the blade gets hot while I’m cutting but I think if you’ve been cutting for a while you should be fine. Plus I want something heavier. How do you like the Mythic ?
@@gc3cuts oh okay definitely consider the mythics then they are still probably one of the best clippers out to them . Has weight but aren’t “heavy “ … has that premium feeling if that makes sense . They are very powerful
IMO I feel like the .50 Cal BMG are super underrated out of the JRL’s the originals I got back in august of 2020 and the gold Ones in 22 also the Wahl seniors corded and cordless and the magic clips and also the babyliss and gamma ergo x and for me with any type of hair to fade and de bulk this is the best all around clipper for me. And I feel like not enough people talk about it. But that’s just me 🤷🏽♂️
@@lamartsunami777 I had the JRL’s the gold one with the taper blade and the original with the fade balde on it. And those were my go to for about year and a half. The other ones I used a few times for fades and things but that’s about it.
jrl 2020c, rebel/boosted, and the mythic to me are the best all around clippers you can use. jrl 2020c and rebels if you want lightweight cut through anything good battery life and fade great. Mythic does exactly the same but for barbers who like heavy clippers. Any of those 3 you wont need anither clipper on your station. Every other clipper on the market has downsides to it that may or may not bother certain barbers. Not a fan of the instincts they get hot fast imo, vibration is annoying and they are loud and mine have pulled hair on more than one occasion on different hair types. They cut great though ngl just too many cons imo.
Stylecraft instinct with the Andis master blade is now the greatest clipper of all time. The end this master blade and clipper was the best. Except it was too loud. The instinct is small and quieter with the best motor. By far the best clipper. Also, with the stretch bracket takeoff the natural ever, and it opens all the way up.
I don’t see the point in ever buying a wall product again. Especially a magic clip that hasn’t changed since the 1970s. I can get the job done but let’s not support wall for just throwing the same clippers at us
Why wouldn’t we want? Clippers to keep coming out at a fast pace? Better for us! Doesn’t mean we have to buy them. But it’s good to have a good choice.

Jrl blades are fire, super quiet. Just wish the shape was more traditional

I love my gold magic clip, my fades been coming out blurry for sho. I swap my gold still blade with the Stylecraft faper blade and boy oh boy 🔥🔥🔥

Are they too heavy though? By heavy I mean 'senior' heavy or 'magic clip' heavy?

I’m using the Saber, the Ergo and JRL. I agree Reggie, them JRL’s are my favorite! Best all around clipper…in “MY” opinion. Lol

JRL is simply elite. In every way.
I wonder how it stands the rest of time. My Stylecraft Ergo's and my Gamma Boosted's both suddenly stopped working in under 2 years with moderate use.

In the beginning I had them get warm but never ran into any “overheating”

I thought the rebel had a stronger motor than the gold magic clip? Correct me if I’m wrong but the rebel is 7200 rpm and the gold magic is 6500 rpm

I have the original Magic Clips. I swapped out the charging plug for a new one and the motor is stronger.
