The sidehit / micro glade game at Troll really is the best. They've almost doubled in size since I grew up near by! It's pretty amazing that a hill in Dresser, WI, population 948, has a reasonable national reputation as a park paradise, particularly in the snowboard scene.

Back in like 7th or 8th grade I had a field trip to Trollhaugen and I tried time and again to hit the Chute without wiping out. I never did manage it but I still the most fun of my life that day.
Last winter was my first ever full ski season, and I'm so glad I picked Trollhaugen as my home base. It's the perfect place to improve technique and gain confidence on different types of terrain. Their pass and ticket specials are definitely the best values in the Twin Cities area. Plus they have some 20 beers on tap!

These reviews are fantastic - wish someone could do this for European resorts (although the videos would be 10+ hours long 😂)
Haha I do agree that the Midwest has a perfect situation for these videos. Many ski areas would just be too big for this format.
