One thing Zhang has a great ability at is to capitalise on moments when he stuns an opponent he will make sure 5 or 6 further punches will land and really push his opponents on the back foot. He's not going to showboat and he's also not going to just charge in and get caught up in a clinch. It's measured but doesn't just let those moments go, which happens weirdpy often in modern boxing.

Good breakdown. The only thing that concerns me is that Zhang has slow feet. Parker was able to use his foot speed to move in and out of range strategically where as Zhang has slow feet. He also does not have a good gas tank and fades by the end of the fight.

Parker is amazing. He was written off after the Joyce loss(he already had losses to AJ and Whyte) and he seemed done for. Now he has big wins over Wilder and Zhang and knocking on the door of an AJ rematch. I personally want to see him fight Ruiz again
Either Wilder knocks Zhang out within the first 6 or Zhang wins a decision after both men stared at each other throughout the 2nd half of the fight.
@gottabouncebro447 Honestly yea your analysis has truth to it, Zhang indeed gasses out later in fights and he gets very lazy later on. I just think that Wilder might not be able to get it late because he also has a poor gas tank lol, and if Zhang does come forward and pressures Wilder early, I think Wilder has the best chance at knocking Zhang out by letting him walk into his right hand. Zhang is nowhere near as elusive as Fury, let alone Parker who has arguably the quickest feet in the division other than Usyk.

The complete opposite happened
A lot of people are really writing Wilder off here. People forget that Wilder has won against every southpaw he has faced. Zhang is actually a good stylistic matchup for Wilder when you actually look at it. Sure he can pressure and has dynamite and his hands, but the big problem here is that he is hittable and open a lot of times. Most of his opponents can't really capitalize on his openings because he's just too big, but with Wilder, he is taller and a longer reach. The people that gives Wilder his hardest fights are slick, technical boxers that can move well. Zhang is very skilled but not as technical as let's say Ortiz or fast as Parker. The best comparison here is when Ortiz was piecing Wilder up and then proceeded to get knocked out. The reason that Ortiz lasted that long and was winning was because he was fast and technical enough to get away from most of those shots. With Zhang though, he is too slow to get away from Wilder's shots. Against smaller fighters with speed like Parker, we have seen him be caught with some shots. I think Wilder would caught Zhang while he's moving forward and put him out. I could be wrong here, but I'm going to pick Wilder by 3rd of 4th round KO. If Zhang wins, I'll be surprised a bit.
People wrote Wilder off because we know he only ever looked good against taxi drivers. He's now lost 4 if his last 5 fights and that 1 win was against a mediocre sparring partner. Everytime Wilder stepped up, he's lost. Hus best win is still Ortiz, who himself has fought and beaten no one of any recognition.
actually what would have surprised me is if wilder won considering both of them have power but only zhang knows how to actually box.

Alot to do about nothing...Wilder hasnt changed since his comeback against Helenius...he did the damn same thing, run away, afraid to get countered, but here he got in a shot that lucky for him landed against a guy with a weak chin.He was exposed against Parker. The last time Wilder actually took a forward step and tried to land a right hand was the third fight with Fury. That was 3 years ago. Unless he gets in a lucky shot (and I do believe he still has the power to knockout big bang), then I see Zhang walking him down and stopping Wilder inside of 5 rounds.

The straight right hand way more likely to land on a guy like zhang. Slower, plodder, fades in second half of fights, southpaw with limited head movement. That said Wilder could easily be KOed in the first few

I think wilder should bulk up a lil now in his career. go back up to the 238 he was for fury 3. become the walk forward aggressor. the extra weight may help him take a lil more damage and dish it back out.

I'm definitely no wilder fan, but I don't think he's in trouble at all. Zhang is exactly the type of dude wilder has been knocking out his whole career. Old slow, with bad stamina. However, I will add, I think a lot of those fights were rigged for wilder to win. So if he loses that wouldn't be a surprise either. Hell even this fight could be rigged, because there is a ton of money in a fight between Joshua and wilder. This fight would lead to a Joshua fight. All I can say is we will see what will happen.
Zhang doesn't move his head his footwork is pretty flat his a south paw stays still and is very susceptible to deontay's right hand this is a favourable fight for wilder but zhang can definitely put him to sleep.

I suspect Wilder will win. I think if Zhang knocks Wilder down, he'll get back up. But if Wilder knocks Zhang down, I think he will be done. Zhang, for all his size and power, actually isn't very difficult to hurt. Hrgovic and Parker had him buzzed a couple times and they don't have 10/10 power like Wilder does. While Wilder has been shown to have pretty incredible durability. He's been hurt multiple times (Ortiz, Fury, Parker) and has kept on freaking going.

Who on Wilders resume is equal to the KO stoppage of Holmes? Not even close. The heavyweight division, in its history has a bunch of hard hitting guys who proved their power against proven chins and competition. Wilder does not have that.
