I'm a new fan of this fantastic duo, I have been playing 2 years following brain surgery and gamma radiation. In my 26 months I've had 28 guitars! I'm disabled, in a wheelchair, homeless (and grateful to be able to play at all!) So guitars break (8) get stolen (9) and given away (9). I still have 2, an Ovation Celebrity SE and a Yamaha EF 10. Both in pawn to protect from recent rains. I'm so inspired by Rodrigo y Gabriela I can't wait to get a guitar in my hands again. Three more days until my disability check arrives, meanwhile playing percussion to Tamacun a hundred times in a row
I agree he's a very good guitarist..nice touch ...but he isn't alone with that ...she on the hand is exceptional at what she does..holds everything together ,very busy and rhythmic..so interesting to watch.

Whenever I see/hear these sorts of performances live or on video, I can't just stand there/sit here without tapping my feet, bobbing my head.. or even dancing (in my very woeful way)... It's just dancing music... and why are most of the audience looking so grumpy? This is such joyous music...

Plus she keeps changing the bpm in a sort of sloppy way which also makes it less "tapable" But the audience clapped during the performance and afterwards (quite happily), so I don't see what the problem is.

+birdflesh1 The "triplet" strumming she uses for effect is called fan rasgueado. There's many tutorials on that as well as on her strumming specifically.
