Intel has a factory in Chandler and just expanded and then Governor Ducey negotiated for Taiwan to have 2 chip plants along the 303 freeway its over 100 degrees every day for 6 months straight. we have a water issue. people working there are expected to earn $80k
This is the same place that had the massive and successful Navajo Generating station before. Also loads of uranium too. What a shame where we are now. Basically devolved
Isn't Arizona the best place to use solar power in the US? Why not use more solar and batteries to enhance the grid and provide power to native communities and anyone wanting more energy?
I asked a friend why she doesnt have solar. She said she called the electric company and THEY told her it wouldnt save her $. How stupid was she that she didnt do her homework but instead called the company she wouldnt have to pay any more.
solar might be good for your house and the ac bill. i had a 900 sq ft condo and my electric bill was $150each for 7 months 1 person and my thermostat was set at 85 degrees.
In this day and age there is no excuse for not wiring up pretty much any community to the grid, unless you've decided to live on top of a mountain or something. The problems facing American Indian communities is always internal to that community, unfortunately.
Why would you put data centres which are noted for their heat in a Desert?
It's called a bunker. CIA/NSA spooks and their corporate tech contractors in windowless buildings storing data for who knows what.
1:01, was the video too long for you to watch?

Great. Explains the sudden 5% increase from SRP and the increasing amount of power outages around the Higley and McDowell area.
Another good reason i left the state 3 months ago
Plenty of power available, but both power plants and data centers need cooling, so where is the water coming from?
Best get yerselves big solar and big batteries - Pronto! (slim water)
What data is being stored here? Probably spying related. Everyones everything being tracked has to be stored somewhere

good luck tryin to get the politicians in AZ to leave oil and gas for solar

Solar power doesn't generate enough energy for it to be cost or space effective
Nuclear power sounds nice, hope you charge them like they charge the people of PHX.

Navajo has their own solar set up. I drove thru there last year. The houses were falling down but they had solar.
People didn’t seem to have a problem in the past.
Well why can't those data centers have to be powered by the planet saving solar energy?
