Rust-Oleum - 2X Ultra cover is a paint and Primer. It's my favorite! But I also think Krylon Fusion All-In-One is really good! I'll get whichever is less expensive or in the color I want. :)

Oh my goodness!!! Thank you so much!!!! 💐
I will be using some of these ideas today. I'm excited.
In my basement I have metal shelving. I used copy paper boxes that were being thrown out at my job because they fit perfectly on my shelving. Then covered the fronts and wrapped a little down the sides with contact paper (a red and white print). Printed large labels for the covers and everything has a place. Example ... toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, cups and napkins, games, rugs, plastic tablecloths, baking items (like cupcake papers, sprinkles, etc). I love the look and the organization. Then, did my husband's work shop area with plastic bins on shelving. Staples and staple gun, sand paper, duct tape, electrical, etc. He loves it. It keeps everything cleaner when items are organized and labeled. Thanks for all of your ideas. Moving up to the next level.
I LOVE that!!!!! I find when it looks nice, it’s easier to stick with an organizing system. Awesome job upcycling!!!!!
Thank you, Noreen, you're a life saver!
Happy to help!
I never thought to paint the lids! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
I am getting back to your videos..Where I Started searching for ideas.. I used to just sit in a corner..One place at a time.. MUSIC pushed me along..Even hearing it hot ne started.. when I Change.. well, I'm coming back and realizing just CHILL OUT MARTA.. JUST...DO IT..HAHA so simple.. Love your ideas..you get us thinking AGAIN..👏👏👏🙏🤟❣🤗..And Thank You.. 🙏🤟❣
xoxoxxo Glad I could help. :D
I use clear adhesive pockets on everything. It's very easily changed for an ever evolving space. I can keep the bin and just swap out the insert. Dollar Tree sells a small version, but I get most of mine from Target dollar spot during "back to school."
Great ideas my friend! I love the idea of spray painting the lids, awesome! As always thank you for sharing! Stay safe, healthy and positive! GOD bless you and your family! 🙏❤🇺🇸🌞
I never liked the plain shoeboxes and never even thought about spray painting lids! I can’t wait to try this! Also, I absolutely love the clear glass knobs and I can’t wait to organize my bathroom shoeboxes and paint them light or turquoise blue and add glass knobs!
Please do! You can share pictures to my Call Clutter Fairy Group page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
Patience and creativity - two virtues/talents that ran past me long ago...but I sure love seeing them at work. You are great!
I don't agree... I've seen your make-over rooms! AMAZING!
The Crafty Organizer , so here’s my solution: I was looking for a decor piece we got on vacation. When I found it, I also found a lidded and leaded-look glass serving dish...clear cut glass bowl, with a rose-tinted cut glass lid. I opened the toss-able container of jellied butter cookies and put into the pretty covered bowl, and set them where DH would see them before I did. I mean, HE bought them for me so I wouldn’t want the candy he bought for himself. And I will probably be tempted just a little, but not if I don’t see them before he does.
You are brilliant! Thank you so much for all the great ideas! Much appreciated!
You are so welcome!
Just love the cohesive tips and label/pull ideas. I love the idea of the inserts in plastic bins!
Thanks so much!
Your ideas are so unique! Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you! 😊
Spray painting the lids!!!💗
Using paper in the front of clear containers 💡
Love these tips. Thank you
You have such good videos. They are very timely for me. Lots and lots of good ideas
Oh, I am so glad you like them!!!! Thanks!
ACES!!! Labels & Color Coordination . . . You're speaking my language baby!!!! 😆
Woohoo!!! Two aces in one week!??!?! I'm doing the happy dance!!!!! 😍
I love this idea. I'm a big plastic storage container fan. When you have stuff in open containers, they are dust collectors. I love that everything inside is kept dust free and the outside is an easy wipe down. I also prefer cabinets versus open shelving for the same reason. The inside stays more dust free and the exterior is an easy wipe down. So if you can get something with doors or glass doors, it's better than an open shelf. Not always possible I know, but if it's possible, go for the easiest to keep clean and plastic fits that bill. With this idea, you can do some color coding too. TFS
Excellent ideas. Spray paint and adding paper to hide what’s in there are my favorite ones. So simple but makes a huge impact. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Love this! ❤ I watched your handles on plastic containers and now this video.
It's true.. I love see through bins and containers, but I don't always love seeing all of the contents inside. A cover inserted in front is perfect. Also, I love your labels. Thank you.
New subscriber and excited to watch your other past and future videos! Love the spray paint idea.
Thanks for subbing, Linda!!! Happy to have you here ❤
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these tips. Thanks Crafty Organizer
So glad! Have a great day! 🌻💛🌞
Lovely ideas. Thanks so much. 💗
I can't wait to make use some of your amazing helpful hints, spray painting the lids, paper conferring the front of the plastic shoe box containers and uniform labels. Thank you so much for this, greatly appreciated
You are so welcome!
Our craft room used to be my brother's bedroom. The closet has a built-in dresser of sorts, with wood drawers. I created labels on the computer (I think I used Photoshop, but Microsoft Word would also work), just typing what is in each drawer. Then I printed them on letter-size sheets of blue cardstock, & die cut each with a Spellbinders label die. I don't have anything electronic for die cutting (Cricut, Silhouette, etc.), hence the metal die in a manual die cutting machine. Since that die is not solid (it's basically an outline with an open center), it was easy to line up. I punched 2 holes in the top of each label, added clear hole reinforcement labels to the backs around the holes, & hung them on small cup hooks I had screwed into each drawer front. If I ever need to swap out the labels, I can just remove the old ones, & reprint, die cut, & hang. I am thinking now, though, of either replacing them with die cut chalkboard paper labels, or painting the current labels with chalkboard paint, so I can just write the contents with a chalk marker. Then, I can just erase & rewrite if needed. Thanks so much for these suggestions, Norinne! You always have such great tips & tricks. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
I love what you described!!!!! I think that is a PERFECT labeling system! Do you have pictures??? You can share them to my Crafty Organizer page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/ I'll bet many people would love and use this idea! Great job!
What amazing ideas! I would have never thought of these.😊💖🙏
I love all the information you always give us! ❤ It always makes my day brighter and my spending book heavier🤣🤣😊 Ina good way though!
I love this idea. I have a ton of those shoe boxes and still feel like I cant organize and then find things. This is such a great idea. Thank you!
🤯 spray painting container lids - wow!!!!what a way to unify a space and not just look like plastic tubs - then the paper on the front!!!! I had previously thought you did that all the way around- and one of the things I like is the clear ability to see in them (vs my husband’s preference- cardboard boxes). But I don’t want to see the clutter in them on my shelf. This solves both - pretty on the shelf, easily visible
Yay!!!! I'm so happy this helps. 🌺
These are amazing tips and it looks so easy. Thanks for sharing! 😃
They are!
Thank you for sharing . I just would never of guessed that the lid was painted .👀 . Thanks for the good ideas .
Happy to help!

@@TheCraftyOrganizer I would love to paint them in a lilac colour.

It is just beautiful, meaning the cabinet behind you and I love the color you used.
Thank you so much, Pauline!!!!
Love these wonderful tips and tricks to dress up your craft room! TYSMFS!!!❤️
You are so welcome!
This video is really great timing for me. I labeled every in my art room like you have. I loved, but I ended up taking the office furniture out and building a sewing/colorist room. So now I’m moving things around. I put my labels on by hot gluing hook and loop to the bin. Then I cut out my lack and white label, adding some dimensional square of foam between them. Then I hit glued the hook and loop to the back of the label and hung them on the hook and loop on the bins. When I take the label off to change it, I just separate the Velcro pieces. Voila! I love the label examples you showed. Thank you, Norrine!
Ladies and gentlemen... THIS is why I love my group! Why didn't I think of that!!!! Thanks for sharing, Debby! Great idea!
I love this idea!! Thank you for sharing. 💜
I love that velcro idea! Fabulous!
Yes!!
Hi! Do you mean you made a colorful room? If so, what methods did you use?
I absolutely love your channel.
Thanks, BigPawK9s! I really appreciate hearing that 🌻
Great ideas (as usual). I especially like the idea of painting the shoe box lids!
Thank you! 😊
Such great tips. Easy things I don't think about, but I will now.
Thanks, Stella! 🌺
Ahhhh....spray paint the lids. What a great idea. Great ideas for the plain generic plastic shoe box. Thanks.
You are so welcome!
These tips are the best! I’m definitely going to use them! TFS!!
You are so welcome!
THE PULLS ON THE SHOE BINS O-O I was just about to get rid of several pulls since I had no idea why I bought them THANK YOU
Yay!!!!! So glad I got this to you BEFORE you got rid of them 💛
I bought two sets of ten plastic bins similar to those, but not quite that big. I use them to sort photos into decades. They look GREAT lined up on my black shelves. (They have black lids). I especially like that I can nest them together after that project is finished, and make more room for other things. They can be relabeled and re-used for project after project!
Being at home, retired, I have been purging everything and anything that is not used, worn and needed...like my lawnmower...yes, shoes that don't fit...out. I have noticed that open shelves actually contribute to a cluttered look, and have been replacing them with two door cabinets. I am not one to have decorations on a shelf, to me that's wasted space and ridiculous spending time cleaning tchotchkes, that said........I live alone and my whole house is an art studio. I'm going to put ALL my cleaning supplies in one cabinet, they are scattered in bathroom, kitchen, closet.....and I forget what I have. Your videos are an amazing help kiddo. They get me thinking, and I do feel better when I'm organized.....thanks:)
Yay!!! I am so excited for you, Marta!!!! Please keep me posted on your journey! 🌸💜
I love any of these ideas, they are very therapeutic for me, as well. 💙
I'm so glad!
Ding ding ding!!! Spray paint the lids! 😳. Every time I watch your videos, I wish you were my next door neighbor...and professional organizer. 😉 🥰🌹
I'll visit in my RV..... as SOON as I get it. :)
Bonnie Hoogeveen I wish the same thing 😊

I'm so glad!
love this idea, now to find time
What a great idea to spray paint the lids! Didn't even think you could do that! I don't have very nice writing (or printing) so I really like some of these ideas for tags. Thank you once again for sharing!
You are so welcome, Diane! It's always so nice to see your name here in the comments. 🌻

Thank you so much!!! Happy to have you here with me 💕
You are so creative!
Thank you! 😊
I've been organizing my sewing supplies and these were exactly the ideas I needed to get it looking "better" I love the ideas for the shoe boxes since I've got an abundance of those. I also have vinyl bags that some flannel sheets came in that are the perfect size for storing unused patterns but they don't look right in my new system. I've got that same contact paper (I love it) and I'm going to trim some up and slide it to make them look pretty! Thank you so much for the tips! You're an amazing wealth of ideas!
Yay! I'd love to see pictures when it's all done! You can share it to my Call Clutter Fairy Group page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
Stitching Inthebarn I am desperately trying to organize my sewing room! Please share some more ideas, please!? I quilt and make anything from doll clothes to kids clothes to costumes for church productions and dress up clothes for my grands.
I use that same contact paper....I love how simple and inexpensive it is. I have recently made gift bags for my homemade greeting cards using it. Simple, but elegant. TFS
Are you selling them?!??!?! Sounds like I need one in my craft room! LOL
I'd LOVE to see both 😍
Excellent ideas. Have been taking a class this week from organization HQ so many great ideas. And gerat speakers with creative ideas.
I've never heard of that! How exciting!!!!
Love your tips. I am subscribed and I love your videos. And you too. 🥂
Just shows how creative you and others are. Lol. I Love simplicity and even better cost effective items. So why can't my brain come up with some of these ideas myself. Well Norrine, this is why I watch your videos so then I can say duh. Lol. Great tips sunshine. 💜🇨🇦
Me too! Duh! Norrine is a genius and gets to the point with her soothing voice! She is my happy place ! I know I will be happy watching her and I will be inspired! I’m in the middle of craft room organizing and was wondering what I was going to do with all the shoeboxes. Now I know!! As always Thank you to Norrine! The reason I replied on Elise’s is because I thought her reply was so darn cute!!!
Thank you, Elise! 😊 What's that old saying... Necessity is the mother of invention. No. My BUDGET is the necessity. LOL I am so happy to come up with ideas that have worked for me. I am always afraid of the comments thinking I've lost my mind - but everyone is always so sweet and kind. 😘🌻💛
Thanks, Kathy! Let me know how your craft room organizing goes!!!! Keep me posted 💛
@@TheCraftyOrganizer my budget is also the mother of my necessity to find cheap cute ideas. Lol
I used Stick it double sided adhesive sheets to adhere decorative paper to the inside fronts of the smaller drawer units (desktop size) that I have in my cube storage shelves. I put the Stick it on the right side of the paper, facing out, protected by the plastic. Using coordinating 6x8 inch print paper pad has really dressed them up, and (hides for the most part) the contents of the approx. 6 in wide drawers. Brings a lot of color to the unit, too. I bought the white to open up the room, but the colors make my craft room my happy place. I thought about labeling the drawers, but I didn't want to cover the pretty paper with even small labels, especially after scrubbing off the old labels! I can remember where everything is.
Very good video's which I really need, thank you
Thanks for watching, Peggy!
Beautiful ideas!
Thank you! 😊
In collage I had 3 of those plastic storage towers with 3 pull out drawers on each. I put black paper inside to help hide everything. One day my roommate wanted one like it and ask where she could get one. She thought it was made like that! I knew then and there my 5 minute diy was fantastic!
I'm subscribed to A LOT of channels, but I never hit the notification bell cz I get a lot of emails. However, this is the only channel where I've clicked the notification bell. I love your warm energy, you're very sweet, I love how you show people how to beautify their surroundings *on a budget* cz who isn't on a budget these days, eh?, and your projects are BEAUTIFUL. I really enjoy this channel, great job! I hope to enjoy your videos for a very long time. :)
Welcome to the Group, Giggles!!! Thanks for the kind words. Yes... budget projects are everything to me! I'll keep them coming. 💐
Norrine great tips!
Thank you, Terry!
TYFS - These are all GREAT ideas! I really can’t pick a favorite 🤷🏻♀️. Please stay safe 😷
Thanks, Ann! You too!
Loved it. Painting the lids is a great idea. Wish u were my neighbor I would be at your house all the time getting great tips and pointers. Lol. Keep up the great videos always helpful.
That's so sweet! At least you can always find me here on youtube! You can also join my Call Clutter Fairy Group page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
Such helpful info. I had considered masking the front of shoe boxes, buit had not considered how to make the template. Thanks much!
Glad it was helpful!
Depending on the type of plastic, you may need to use a spray primer or spray paint specifically designed for going on plastic (because some plastic+paint combos don’t play well together, and it can just flake off and drive you nuts for months as you find the flakes EVERYWHERE...ask me how I know 🤦♀️)
I agree! I learned that the hard way with some cute plastic milk bottles I tried painting with acrylics. The paint wouldn't adhere to the plastic. The only solution I could find was to "lightly scratch the surface with sandpaper." I did this very lightly, but I could see the scratch marks - even though supposedly I shouldn't have been able to tell they were there. Hmmm. Well, anyway, the acrylic paint did adhere after all, but I was disappointed in the end result considering the scratch marks were noticable to me. I'm sure others couldn't see them, but I could. I avoid painting plastic unless I use spray paint and primer now.
Brilliant. Such great ideas!
Thank you! 😊
Love the idea of spray paint. I will be using bins that are all different colors and I think I will be spray painting them the same color.
YES!!!! You will be amazed at how much better it will look!!!! Use Krylon Fusion or Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra cover. Both are GREAT products and very affordable.
Great ideas
Thanks for your inspiration!! Love these ideas!!
Thanks, Wendy! Glad you like them!
I love these ideas! I decided that I want to spray paint all of my mismatched storage bins. Unfortunately, I'm terrible at spray painting. 🤦 I tried using the contact paper, but it doesn't work on everything. I do like the idea of putting a piece of paper inside the plastic shoe boxes to cover the ends to make a more cohesive look. I'll be using that idea with my labels for those boxes.
Thank you for these great ideas. You are so inspirational. I can't wait to get my craft room done!! 💞
Oh...... I have to say this again. WHERE IS MY RV! I want to come help!!!! LOL Would it be wrong to ask each subscriber to send me just $1 so I could get one???? LOL I'd get to start helping people sooo much sooner! I'll jump on that video on how to spray paint soon. xoxxoxo
@@TheCraftyOrganizer I'm pretty sure everyone would gladly send you $1 to put toward your RV fund. I know I would send you more than that.
Beautiful ❣️
Thank you! 😊
I love your channel. I wish I lived near you so I could hire you to help me organize my whole house. It is very cluttered. My craft space is awful, I can never find anything I am looking for. It takes away from my crafting time. Thank you so much for these videos, they are wonderful.
Maybe one day soon I'll get to pull up in my RV and help! 💜
@@TheCraftyOrganizer That would be a wonderful surprise!!!!!!!
Hi friend, another fun & great video. TFS. Have a great week. 💜💜
Thank you! You too, RoseMary!
Hi, Norrine. Just wanted to say that your hair looks fabulous!
Oh thank you! I had a bit of a coloring goof... but am going with it. LOL
Fantastic ideas again Norrine! I love how you provide so many ideas. I’ll be interested in how you change your office, it seems soooo perfect already.
Hello Amy how are you doing?
Great ideas for me to start labeling my boxes for crafts.
Have fun!
I fell in love with your craft wall. Until I watched your video on how to do it, I expected that it would be very expensive. I’m going to do the same.
Omg, thank you! I'm so glad u shared!!❤
No problem 😊
Hi Norinne! Love these tips! Thank you
You are so welcome!
Very good info! Thanks!
Any time!
Thank You for these great tips !
You are so welcome!
Great ideas. I need to label everything, so these ideas are going to come in handy. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
What some great tips. Thanks a bunch
You are so welcome, Beverly! Thanks for watching!
Love this! I've been starting this lately, and still have a ton more to do, so can't wait to add some of these ideas to the mix!
Keep me posted!!!! I love seeing other's ideas on their spaces!
Awesome ideas
Thank you for always watching, Connie! 😊
These are great tips!😍
I really dislike the look of plastic containers, but I have many.
I prefer an eclectic, rustic look. You've given me some great ideas.
I love your videos! Ty so much!💙
Oh... I hope I get to see what you've done!!!! I like rustic too!!!! Please share once you are done - You can share it to my Call Clutter Fairy Group page on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/730125317461615/
I bought some somewhat high end plastic basket type bins....twenty five years ago. They slide under my son's bed which I constructed from a shelving unit...also twenty five years ago. I have changed look over the years with different colored fronts in the black plastic bins.
Great tips, as usual Norrine. 😄 There are times when I want to see what's inside, but others that I don't so lining the front inside of the container works great. Easy to change if you redecorate often too.
I find some don't realize you don't need a special spray paint made for plastics. I'd spray painted plastic before it came out so it didn't make sense to pay more.
I often use a write on/wipe off marker to write on plastic containers. You have to let it dry before touching, and even then it can smear, but it's great for a temporary label while organizing. When done you can add any one of your pretty labels!
Yes! Great feedback! I love my wipe off markers! Thanks for pointing them out 💛
@@TheCraftyOrganizer You're welcome. I wouldn't have thought of them for labeling plastic containers had it not been for all the Sterilite ID boxes. Which are the white plastic containers you saw on the Kallax in my sewing/craft room. I wish they still made them. They had plastic click on labels built in for wipe of markers. So smart.
Hey Norrine 👋 very helpful video, TFS sweetie, hope you and yours are well. Best regards always 🤩🥳🤗
Thank you! You too, Madeline!
