The voice acting for the dub was spectacular, as well as the japanese audio. Their respective voice actors really put everything into their characters to convey the tragedy and chaos

i have to agree i am mostly for original in all cases not just anime but eng dub for MHA is this season so far really really good ... they "going beyond" update fyi: BUT i still prefer original version just saying
I prefer sub because when I hear dabi's voice I just think of zeke yeager XD lmaooo also Idk how to watch it English dubbed...
idk man... the part when twices said "hero, you will die' kinda meh to me. To me shouldve shouted "DIE !!! HEROES!!! ",it wouldve be more impactfull to that scene
I think a theme of the show is the idea of how much being saved early in life decides if someone will be a hero or a villain. All might saved deku and deku saved that kid in the summer camp ark. But no one was there to save la brave and twice and they became villains. Poor twice
Shigaraki needed to be saved too
I’d argue it’s also about being saved by the right people. Twice was “saved” by Giran and the league, La Barva was “saved” by Gentle criminal and the most clear example: Shigaraki was “saved” by All for one. If these people had be saved by a more positive influence they wouldn’t have ended up on a different path.

Rip Twice, shows how tragic humans are. What we are goes beyond two sides of a coin. We're all human and experience feelings at the end of the day.

I had to watch this episode in dub after it came out because I needed to hear the conversation between Twice and Hawks in English. And damn, was not disappointed. Hawks came across as much more bottom line, almost sinister, as opposed to wanting to genuinely help in Twice’s reform in some small way. That’s the way the sub came across for me anyway, a much more sympathetic Hawks in Japanese compared to government dawg Hawks in English, and I’m loving both performances👏 👏👏
Tbh I much prefer sympathetic Hawks. I respect what the Eng VA might've been trying to do, but it just didn't really work for me. I always prefer dubs to stay faithful to the original if possible, because their job is to translate the media and keep it intact. Not really provide a new interpretation. That said, I think the delivery on the performance was very good from Eng Hawks regardless of personal subjective preference
Dub Hawks is really snarky and sarcastic most of the time which fits his character so much imo. Zino also has a very 'young adult' type of voice, so they couldn't have been more of point with the casting
@@zuzu6864 the sarcastic tone is exactly why I like Hawks in the dub, he just wasn’t like that in the confrontation with Twice tho. Took me out of it a bit. Hawks cares, he would just prefer to be doing nothing lol. When he took that cold tone with Twice in the dub I questioned his character’s intentions slightly.
@@jayroc62 he did come out a bit sinister, yea, however, imo it fit his character as well because even since he was introduced they've painted this picture of him not being that nice of a person. So, with him being quite sinister in that moment, we were reminded of that.
I cried too Kacee! Twice was one of my favorites out of the villain characters! I'm gonna miss him.
Well the point of twice's story is that the "right crowd" WAS the league of villains. He was always a "crazy" person, and those were the only people who accepted him
No matter how many times I watch this, it still makes me cry.

I remember reading this chapter when it first came out a few years back. And it hurt. I thought I'd prepared enough to see it animated. I was wrong.
I think the thing that makes it so sad is that a good portion of the League are just people who got pushed out of society. Spinner was pushed out for having a quirk that made him look different. Toga was pushed out because society thought her quirk was weird. And rather than help her, they thought it would be better not to look at her. Twice was someone who just had bad luck one day and life continued to kick him while he was down so he couldn't get back up. And Shigaraki was literally a lost kid who hundreds of adults decided to ignore when he needed help. Everyone rejected them. So they all accepted each other and became a family. This episode was rough.
There was no chance of Twice ever falling in with "the right crowd". He made those wrong turns, and was drove crazy, and he knew perfectly well that there's no where a truly crazy person can fit in to "the right crowd". But the League was the crowd that accepted him, craziness and all.
As a manga reader i was so mad like everyone was at how they adapted season 5 not only did they cutt a lot of content but the quality of it was very average, the villain arc was easily among the best arcs in manga history but the anime didn't even come close. The main reason why season 5 was "meh" was because studio Bones was making a movie at the same time that they make a season, and this happened since season 3. I can't begin to express how happy i am that they are doing the manga justice right now and just like you said Anthony "This is how this season is STARTING".
I'm just going to say it and I'm going to say proudly..... the villains Arc in the manga is overrated🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

@@WillsonT011 that's fair and it probably is blown a bit out of proportion but I also think probably because we don't usually get that many villain arcs in shounen content, it's adored so much more
Pretty much all of this.
As a manga reader, it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be. It was fine. Not great, but fine. Not terrible, but fine. People looove to exaggerate.

Twice is portrayed as dead in a very simple way, so I can't keep up with my emotions, but when I think of him, sadness gradually follows me
He was really unlucky. Even if he says don't call it that, it's true, I wonder how many people he could have made smile if he lived on the side of the good guys

Nah, it wasn't "luck". It was society's fault. Twice could have been saved at any turn before even joining the league, just like most of the league. He just wasn't because things don't work as they should.
Just like Shigaraki wasn't "unlucky" either, it's just that nobody bothered to give him that helping hand before AFO came around. It's not about luck when so many people could have prevented it but consciously choose not to- It's a problem that can be solved.
Twice could have been one of the good guys- If any of them had bothered to help him before it came to this. Heck even Shigaraki would have become a hero like he wanted

And no social system is perfect
Even in modern society, there are people who are affected by the system, and if there is a perfect system, some genius must have come up with it and implemented it
As for why there is no perfect system, I think we have the answer
"because we are imperfect"
And I think it was because he was unlucky that he ended up on the enemy side with so many people who deviated from the rules

Which episode can we check about it?
If he was an orphan, that would be one of the reasons he was "unlucky", but if he was an orphan, what would be the reason why he would commit a crime?
Please note that it's a manga so everything other than what is written is not the truth but an illusion
@@user-om1gr9bh7n It's outright said, same episode where we get his full flashback during the mla fight just last season. His parents got killed in a villain attack when he was in middle school and he was just left on the streets living by himself, getting into his job and the bike accident that lost it a bit later when he was just 16 (after which he started getting into crime with his doubles)

Season 5 was basically a setup for everything that's happening right now in season 6👍 so for those complaining about season 5, all of you guys will be complaining that everything is happening in season 6 is being too rushed. I prefer a show that takes its time so when all the chaos begins to happen, it feels "earned"💪
Exactly, season 5 was a basically a calm before the storm season, and to give the characters more development.
I think people will look back more fondly on season 5 in the future, it was still a pretty good season overall.
@@Riley-lt1sl no because season 5 wasn't what people wanted, it literally cut out a part of Spinner's backstory and the racism in the MHA world.
@@silverquis discrimination*, that the story is going to come back around to and it's gonna be more impactful when it's not awkwardly crunched into a side story

This season is genuinely something else--it's such a good arc and I'm so excited to see it come to life in the anime, especially because what we've seen so far has been *spectacular*

tid bit when they show hawks face in dabi's flames it cuts to the base and people running past the camera adn if you look to the upper left you can see twice's blood splatter in the air after hawks kills him
Fully agree with all the ending comments on this episode. Anthony’s reaction on the series pretty much matches mine. This season is So Damn Good!! I will surely miss Twice. The ending credits were pullin my heart strings for sure.
I'm glad Studio Bones is doing season 6 justice after the horrible job they did with season 5

@@narukunn5152 they cut out a lot of content from MVA, they switched the Endeavor agency arc to come first instead of MVA, they had another filler episode in the middle of the season to promote the movie, the animation quality of the second half of season 5 went down and you can tell it went down by the fact that they completely cut out a high quality Sakuga Toga fight scene
@@tonyy_destined it literally caused a lot of casuals to drop MHA due to the fact that season 5 was insanely hyped up only to end up disappointing

I feel like a lot of the stuff even with the students and them doing the little fight that they did was very important for this so we knew how all the students used their abilities. Last season was just a set up if anything. Where just at The crescendo of this point of The Series.

Everyone wants to hate on season 5, yes it was the most action packed and thrilling season but building up to this beautiful yet scary season was needed, otherwise people would be desensitized by the time we get here. Well IMO
10:58 this section of the ED actually wasnt here in earlier episodes-- this ED is special because while that scene normally shows shigaraki looking out at the landscape, on specific episodes in this season where impactful things happen it changes that scene to properly reflect that. i think there are 4 special ones?
This broke my heart when it first came out. Twice was one of my favorite characters. Always wanting to do right by his friends. If only Toga or Mr. Compress had been the one to try and help him!

The real genius of Jins character is his design is black and white, and he still did the most aat proving what a grey blur the line is between good and bad. Hes murdered people, killed innocent people but it hurts to say he was a good person deep down.

1) Why should we give a damn about this ? This dude was a nameless tertiary character, almost an element of the decor, whereas Twice was a real character that you could get attached to.
2) You forget the context. The original Twice had just been murdered, he was about to melt away at any second, and he was completely desperate to disappear while leaving his friends to be potentially killed like him by the heroes. In these conditions, it's not strange that people continue to have empathy for him.

This season of MHA is called no hold bar. shit is about to get real fuk up. Episode 5 just gave everyone a wake up call.
ohh u think this show is good now, its only going to get better from here, from here onward, there s no festivals no wasted arcs no training arcs, from this season till the end of thiis show i dont kno in season 8 or 9 there's only pain and epicness and pain and darkness, mha society aint that happy and actually dark af and ull soon discover that.
