And I hope you spoke to the owners about keeping her brushed and having that sore on her face looked at; these are little lives that we are all responsible for at various times
I would never bring my Pom to you for grooming. A little praise to the elderly dog, a few breaks, some water, some kind words, and more of a gentle touch. Like people, their skin also becomes thinner as they age. This may be your profession, but you wouldn't have it without the dogs, so be more attentive to them and what their needs are.
If that were my pom, I would never bring him back to you. Deserves kind words and affirmation. As well your a bit rough when combing him, and you need to use moisture.
Comb the tangles out of the coat BEFORE you bathe the dog. The act of bathing and drying with heat will compact the tangles tighter. Use a grooming spray to avoid damaging the live healthy coat. After the coat is tangle free wash, using a tear free shampoo for the face.
Would’ve been nice to have person videoing to point the camera at the dog rather then the table when trimming the dogs sides and few other parts so we could see what was happening. Poor pup deserved a little positive encouragement a a few “ good dog” comments during the groom.

I totally agree , this groomer needs to stop grooming and go back to grooming school. She also, needs to learn how to treat dog's of all walks of life. She lacks a great deal of knowledge. I would never let her groom my dog.
It would likely help this little lady to have the human speak nicely to her & tell her what a good girl she is. As it is, groomer gives the impression they just don't like dogs.
You've watched too many dog grooming channels 😂 their only talking for the camera. As a groomer, I can promise you, no groomer (who isn't filming) is having a conversation with the dogs they are grooming...

Your absolutely right, why didn't she shampoo the dog's face, head and ears. Then to only give one bath and no conditioner that's a real crime. This particular breed of dog needs to have their coat conditioned. Like I said this groomer lacks a great deal of knowledge about grooming dogs and needs to go back to grooming school.

This was traumatic for the very old dog and was agonizing to watch. This vid is a perfect example of why geriatric pups (and dogs with high anxiety) should not be sent to commercial groomers. This groomer was hacking it out and had no compassion for the old girl’s physical fatigue and sheer terror.
Your absolutely right! This groomer had no compassion for this poor old pup. This woman shouldn't be grooming any dog. She's heartless, unfeeling and did a terrible job of grooming this poor dog as well.
Calia, you need to tell your human Mummy you can't possibly get your paws ruined cleaning your own mess. You want to get her up an hour earlier with plenty of woof woofs that way you will help her have more time to clean your mess. Then you can say Furless Mummy " Don't say I don't help"
This pup is very old, panting hard and stressed out. It would be wise to give her a break here and there so she can rest her body, cool off, drink some water and de-stress. And she needs to hear a calming voice and needs some tender strokes from her groomer. I, for one, would never send a geriatric pup to be groomed.
