- In loving memory of Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton pays tribute to the life and legacy of a creative genius with a presentation of his Spring-Summer 2022 Collection in Miami on November 30th at 5:30 pm (ET).
“It is with profound sorrow that I learned of the passing of Virgil Abloh. Virgil was not only a friend, great collaborator, creative genius, visionary, and disruptor, but also one of the best cultural communicators of our times. He paved the way for future generations. As a devoted supporter of his community through his charities and passions, he was an eternal optimist who believed anything was possible. In this same spirit, we at Louis Vuitton will proudly continue to celebrate his legacy with a final show in Miami, per his wishes. I am honored to have called him my friend. My deepest thoughts are with his wife, children, parents, family, and the entire community that was touched by his greatness.”

@@JJRiot Yeah i loved his interviews in which he said that he wanted street wear style to be seen as just another part of fashion and not as an outcasted section, more as a part of the whole. Virgil was truly an insporational Human Being.

I recently started my journey into the fashion world, and having Virgils journey end just as mine starts really has me in tears. His legacy has inspired me even before today, and I plan to still look up to him until the day my journey finally comes to a rest

I wrote my college essay about how much I related to Virgil and his work. I got into fashion because of him and his inspiring work is the reason I chose to write about him to get into fashion school. I wish he didn't have to leave us so soon but I'll be sure to tell everyone I know about his legacy.
I feel like… He was more than “here”… He was the journey… and those of us that cared and wanted to meet him at the end point got to. Whether that was in person, through his talent, through his story… we got to meet him at the destination. 🥺
Been a dream of mine to work with him some day 🤧. His legacy will live on forever ❤️🕊
Yesterday was crushing.
I woke up in tears, confused, and feeling immensely heavy. Virgil gives me such hope and courage, he taught me to be versatile, flexible, and above all else believe in myself and my ideas. His curiosity will continue to give me and all the generations after me inspiration to blaze forward. I cannot express how much it saddens me to know I'll never get the chance to meet him in person, it's difficult...but, his work and his spirit will live with us forever and continue to offer encouragement to the world, my culture, my community, and myself.
