BlueBay Grand Esmeralda Resort Playa Del Carmen México Review

I’ve just came back from two weeks at the BlueBay Grand Esmeralda hotel in Playa Del Carmen Mexico. In this Video I talk about my time staying at the hotel and give my thoughts.

hi, how is the beach at that resort? I´ve seen previous videos and photos and looks very awful.This is not seaweed time of the year so it should be clean, thank you!

Hello the beach is ok it’s not the best but they do go around and pick up the seaweed most mornings.

How did you get from the resort to the shopping area in Playa del Carmen. I was told that it is only 8km from the resort

We got the hotel bus to Playa Del Carmen. It’s $5 per way per person and they take you into the middle of the town. It’s too far to walk as your on the bus about 20 - 30 mins. The bus goes every couple of hours.

Was there a swimup pool bar?

Unfortunately not. That’s something I was looking forward too but there isn’t one.

How was the food?

In my own opinion not the best. The only food what I found to be nice was the Italian restaurant. All the rest I found to be not good.
