Luds Church: is a deep chasm penetrating the Millstone Grit bedrock created by a massive landslip on the hillside above Gradbach, Staffordshire, England. It is located in a wood known as Back Forest, in the Dark Peak, towards the southwest fringe of the Peak District National Park, it is over 100 metres (328 ft) long and 18 metres (59 ft) deep

Fascinating course! Mossy stone walls look amazing. I love it. 👍
Was certainly something different, its very eerie in there too, glad you liked it
Hello friend....just love the environment there and the scenery is so majestic.....thanks for showing us around....😊 9:11
You're very welcome 😊 thanks for taking the time to watch, glad you liked it
Time is a strange thing, it blurs memories, consequently I’d forgotten just how impressive The Peak District is. It’s a good while now since I was last in that part of England, probably 50 years. A goodly chunk of my maternal ancestors were from there; Hathersage, Castleton, Hassop, Matlock etc. In fact my maternal great grandmother was a member of the Eyre family (as in Jane Eyre). Thanks for your hard work and wonderful video.
That's a cool claim to fame! Peak District certainly feels very different to anywhere I've been so far, at times it felt like another planet with the rocks that look out of place and the sand up there, quite bizarre, appreciate your time as always Mark
@@NickGoesHiking as no doubt you know, it’s an area that was intensively mined for hundreds of years, especially for lead. Some of my male forebears were lead miners.
great to see you back Nick! what a wonderful hike 🤩
It was a fab hike, I just wish it wasn't so windy so I'd been able to get the drone up more
Wow very Jurassic.
The rocks look so out of place, weird location
What a nice hike, it looks really pretty! The views from the top looks amazing 😍
They were amazing! Can see for miles all around up there, thanks for watching 😊
All the ravines and lots of slate.
I'm told it was heavily mined up there, very different lool to what I've hiked in the past
