I've noticed something interesting: a particular breathing technique involving inhaling a significant amount of air (similar to Wim Hof's but slower) triggers my tinnitus to become louder for at least 30 minutes or more. Some might suggest that this effect is due to increased blood pressure resulting from that type of breathing, but it is actually the opposite. I have measured my blood pressure several times and found that it is lower immediately after breathing as well as 30mins later. Could it be that my blood vessels become slightly more dilated, causing the tinnitus to become louder? I would appreciate hearing your opinion on this. Thanks
Ben, I'm based outside the US & currently Your not taking on patients from overseas, will this change as firstly & more importantly I need your help please & secondly the support isn't there.
Can’t wait for Susan Shore’s device. She just published her results for clinica trial 2 and they are pretty great! They actually reduced tinnitus loudness not just promoting habituation
Although I am in an early stage of recovery, videos like this from Treble Health provide the hope & motivation I need to continue towards habituation. As Dr Ben says, “this is a marathon” so I have to be disciplined & patient.
Thank u so much for sharing I live in Nova Scotia Canada and have a head injury and now have a sensitively to sound and tinnitus which started about 6vweeks ago I'm seeing an audiologist and I'm using the sound masters your story gives me hope 🙏 😊
That's called tinnitus masking used in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. The exact tone and frequency is replicated by the means of an Audiometer. Next is getting used to the tinnitus is Cognitive Behaviourial Therapy.
CBT, TRT, et cetera will be in past tense soon. We have Lenire, we ll have soon Susan Shore device. deep TMS will improve in coming years. CBT is not solution.
Please help. Mine is getting worse by the day. I take trp ear drops, Dr prescribed nasal spray, use pink noise & nothing. I don't sleep & all the audiologists only say the same blah blah
I can't figure out how to adjust the sound to reduce tinnitus. i live in ukraine here no one knows anything at all .. they say get used to live with noise... well at least someone tell me how to choose the frequency to relax and sleep .... I beg you

For sleeping try crickets or swamp nature sounds that have crickets, even on a really low volume it completely muted my tinnitus
I'm praying to go deaf
