    really you upgraded everything but not what needed except suspension and top rack everything else is waste of money and you didn't upgrade seat when I say touring seat which will cost you 20k and you still sitting on that seat wow

    • @RoadhawkVlogs
      @RoadhawkVlogs  20 дней назад +1

      @akshaydiscover think I have travelled enough to say that I am fine with the seat. My bum is trained to endure the hardships and anyway the other is a rally seat, not a touring one. The build and structure itself is entirely to support better stance in rallies or MX, so please dont buy that for touring.
      Also just to note: for example, I desperately need a good action cam for vlogging but u may not need it, so it doesn't mean my purchase is waste. Thanks!

    Hello there ! Your video is the most complete video about upgrades needed, and for me is a must upgrade to make on the 390 adventure. I would like to buy a ktm390 adventure in like a month or so, and if you are kind i will love to talk to you about what you have done to it, where did you buy it, and if the shops that you purchcesed it from will ship to Europe. Love your ideeas, love how you talk about your bike, like is not a machine, its your "best friend". Thank you for all the information provided here , and hope to probably keep in touch, after I buy my "best buddy" , the ktm390 adventure.
    PS. Do you advice me on grabing the spoked wheels, or just go with the cast ones ? Thank you în advance!
    Keep up the good job there, you are fantastic!!

    Awesome video. I'm in the US, looking to pick up a new 2023 390 Adventure. I'm trading up from the BMW 310GS which also had a lame front suspension. I redid the springs on that bike which totally transformed it into a more capable offroad machine - but not crossing the line to enduro. Based on the reviews of the 390, it sounds like I'll need to do the same for this bike. The thing is, I'm not looking to jump a huge 3 inches - maybe 1 1/2 or 2. Could that be achieved with a smaller spacer in the front - like one inch instead of two? Also, where can I buy these parts? I tried Asura Garage but their website isn't accessible due to an SSL error (insecure connection). I saw a note that you were doing a video dedicated to the suspension upgrades. If you did this video, can you provide a link? Thanks so much!

    • @RoadhawkVlogs
      @RoadhawkVlogs  Год назад

      Hey, thanks very much man 🙏
      If you are planning to get the spoked wheel version then don't bother do any upgrade, just oil change and clean up at proper times will keep them nice and jumpy.
      Not sure about the suspension setup sold in the US though. The suspension we get here is from a brand named Enduro, its produced here in India and they even make for other adv bikes in the market. Its in collaboration with WP Apex, hence the label. But for some reason, KTM is fitting a smaller cartridge in the Adventures, the spring even wears out quite quickly. I believe the original WP Apex are anyway much better than this. So 1 inch spacer should do the job u want it to do. But better than the spacer (costlier but better) is to get a new longer cartridge because it increases the actual travel, a spacer would only lift ur existing cartridge, virtually increasing the travel but actually only making the bike a little taller.
      Again, I am still unsure if the WP Apex would suck as bad as the Enduro did, so use the stock and try your best to F it up. If u succeed then u got options✌🏻

      Absolutely, softer suspensions and quicker rebound helps pillion a great deal on soft off roads, just gotta keep the bike at a little space. Can vouch for it as have done many rides with pillion, long and short.

Extremely powerful lights, cheap and comes with warranty and probably will take a personal loan for spoke wheels 😂🤘🏼 I like the mag wheels though, never seen such solid wheels in any bikes. hi roadhawk, could you please share the Air filter set-up as you said at 13:40 that you have installed the BMC Filter as well as the UNI Filter. I, myself was thinking of trying out other filters. Please help me with this.

      @RoadhawkVlogs  Год назад

      Thanks a lot! 😁🙏
      If you could dm on insta, I would share a small video about it. Nothing crazy really. In summary, air filter is below front seat and uni filter goes below rear seat. So before the air enters the air filter, it gets a pre-filter saving u some big bucks u had spent on the primary filter. As a result, less frequent air filter cleaning and better power delivery due to a clean primary air filter. BMC is the similar to K&N, u can use either as pre-filter is a separate piece altogether from a company named unifilter.

    after installing givi screen,
    did you see drop in pickup slightly?
    also, need your comments on tyres, mine stock one is almost done looking for new pairs,
    ill do mostly tarmac.

    • @RoadhawkVlogs
      @RoadhawkVlogs  Год назад +2

      Windshield would only impact pickup marginally if it does. Its light weight and designed extremely well to deflect the wind.
      For wheels, if u are mostly on tarmac, go with metz tourance bro. They have amazing grip and last super long. Bit costly but definitely worth the money. Do not go for MRF, CEAT and Apollo, howsoever may people suggest. They are hard compound and not grippy.

    Meaning from 20cm stock, it's now 27cm of ground clearance!
    That's huge, almost too much haha the 790 ADV R has 26.3cm of clearance.

      Spoked wheels with 90/90 front tyres is a gem for offroads but haven't had an issue with the mags plus I like how easy it is to repair punctures on these. So until I am rich enough to get rims that support tubeless tyres, I am keeping these. I am a noob 😂

    3 inch increase in ground clearance makes me 5.5 tall 😢

      It is totally fine bro. I am also 5'8 only and can't keep both my feet down but you get used to counter balancing once you start practicing and it becomes easy.

      @@ShankarThakursingh in mountains also good clearance is a blessing bro. Saddle and revv through the offroads bro, why put both your feet down? 1 is enough to balance really. Honing this skill is important. Anyway this bike is like "gir raha hoon toh girne do, bas apna khayal rakho, meri tension mat lo" toh girao aur kya 😂

    Wait 15k for windshield 😮 that's very expensive

      Spent more than 15K buying all the budget ones bro and none of them were satisfactory. Givi windshield is sort of a "andho mein kana raja" in the windshield world. Same for PUIG. But these guys ensure quality.

    springs are only position sensitive, they have nothing to do with damping like rebound or compression. obviously the asura garage guys have no clue what they are doing , you might as well take professional help from someone like zedling who are core suspension specialists

      Asura Garage is like KFC, enjoy the chicken but don't ask for the recipe. I do know the exact changes but keeping it sensitive to prevent plagiarism as many would try to copy with poor quality and end up hurting the adv community.
      Been riding with this upgrade for the past 2 years and Asura has been handling the maintenance. Can't tell how blissful it has been. U gotta try it to feel it as words just won't be enough.
      The only thing I REPENT is why I didn't get it done sooner.
      Also, been on enough adventures with these upgrades on my bike. So feel free to check out playlists ☺️
      The owner of Asura Garage is an adventure enthusiast and an excellent MX rider. I haven't been to the authorised service stations since the day I have been to Asura. They are and would remain my go to any day and I am sure those who have gone there would whole heartedly agree with me.
      Thank you! 🤘🏼

      @@RoadhawkVlogs adding spacers and changing springs mean nothing. To make any changes in damping you need to change valving. unless you can design your own parts for the WP big piston forks which is what they are called btw, and manufacture your own suspension oil like say someone like Zedling does, YOU CANNOT CHANGE DAMPING. you can however continue to argue with facts and things you know very little about, its your youtube channel afterall!

    • @RoadhawkVlogs

      Well not to disrespect brother but I am riding the bike, so will continue to argue. Think you didn't read my prior response well. Just reiterating, I know what has been changed but been asked to keep it to myself to avoid cheap copies by many other garages. U have to ride it to feel it, till then yours are only words and mine is experience.
      Feel free to drop in to Asura Garage and test their bike out if you can.
