I have been a lot of provinces in philippines thailand malaysia jndonesia but vietnam is stand out for me is another level of beauty.. The best thing about vietnam not only in saigon and hanoi for development all provinces as well and i heard that vietnamese is more richer than filipinos! I personally think it's the most beautiful country in SE Asia, if not the world. Check out Paddy Doyle's video on the Ha Giang Loop...AMAZING scenery that goes on on and on. Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Sa Pa, etc...all are gorgeous in northern Vietnam. Then there are the most spectacular caves. Ride with Gabi's latest video also showed some amazing sceneries in the southern part of Vietnam...I cannot wait for his uploads from each area as he's spending 2-3 months in Vietnam and visiting all the places.
The bay is incredible, but the city is very nice as well. I’d recommend you, if you can, to budget at least a day to explore Ha Long City before/after the cruise ☺️

I can sense the build up in excitement in seeing Halong Bay for the first time. It looks spectacular in videos.

In Vietnam, exactly Halong bay has 1969 limestone islands, Lanha bay 400 and Bai Tu Long bay is more 1000 limestone islands
