I played bass guitar in a band covering this song 14 years ago. I was in awe of our lead guitar player in this intro. I really thought it was beyond my skills to play. Your lesson has proved otherwise. Thank you 😊
I am a part of another group of guitar beginers again . After our practice session yesterday we agreed to go out for brunch . At the brunch the conversation changed many times of course . One of our peeps in this particular group ( a 70 something year old retired lady school teacher ) wanted to source a tutorial for Brown Eyed Girl. I verbally passed along your channel. Then i played your vid for Brown Eyed Girl for her in the restaurant later after we were just sitting chatting away . She mildly exclaimed , "Oh i have seen her" 😁 ! She doesn't do much internet apparently. Granted she is in her 70's . So just to be sure she goes over the video , i E mailed her the link to your video for Brown Eyed Girl 😁😁 If it is not already a credential , you can add musical therapy for seniors to the list today . 😊

Hi Michael 😊 thank you so much! Your message made my day, thank you for being so kind and spreading positivity and kindness on my channel ✨🙏 I’m also very happy my lessons are so helpful!
Some of the comments prove you can't please everybody all the time. I've been playing for 40 plus years and think your instructive style is brilliant for newbies (the target audience).
Hi Douglas, yeah - can’t win everyone over with my teaching skills it seems 😂 there’s always going to be someone who complains 🤷🏻♀️ I really appreciate your kindness and positive feedback! I’m all about being kind and sharing positive energy here on my channel so thanks for being part of that!
Your method for playing the 4th bar of the intro is the third way I've learned it. I like it best! There's something to be said for economy of motion. ;)
Another awesome lesson! 👏👏👏 It’s people like you that make music enjoyable and life worth living. I am a recent subscriber and I am so thankful I came across your channel. 🥰🥰🥰

Hi Schalk! 😃 Wooo hoooo YESS a challenging song for sure (especially that picking part!). Hope you have had a lekker start to the year- My hubby and I are going to watch Schalk Bezuidenhout (the other Schalk 😜) comedy night next weekend here in Dubai. So excited!
Happy to hear another truly great lesson. I am able to play several great songs due to your lessons which are fun and effective. Keep a Rockin 🎸 I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for great teacher to let Amber show you the way.
Hi Aaron 😊 Wow, what a lovely message to receive! I really appreciate your kind words, super encouraging 🤗 🎵 I'm also glad that you enjoyed the lesson!
Great lesson! You should note you really need a cutout guitar to play the intro that high up. There are some variations out there that don't require one.
Good demo. I've loved that song for decades. I never attempted that guitar solo, but you showed how easy it is. Thanks. I'll be adding that to my song list. The la la chorus gets everyone singing alone. I'm going to learn that cool bass solo. I've always loved that too. How many songs have a cool bass solo? My Martin D-18 doesn't have a cutaway like your Taylor.

This is how the original song is played, sorry that it frustrates you 🤷🏻♀️ technically you can play this on a guitar without a cutaway, it’s just not as comfortable. Good luck!

If you are looking for a wider neck, then a classical guitar would be the obvious choice, but I know you have said you want to avoid a classical guitar which is understandable for the style of music you probably want to play is more contemporary stuff. My advice to anyone when they ask about which guitar I recommend: I always say you need to play as many as you can in the store. Feel the weight/size hear the sound/tone. All important factors. I’m sorry I can’t be more helpful! Maybe go and spend some time in your local guitar store and get a feel for what you’re looking for 🎶🎸

So what am I supposed to do if I dont have a cutaway guitar for the 12, 13, 15 part??? So much for "goodbye to frustration and hello to fun"!
This is how the original song is played, sorry that it frustrates you 🤷🏻♀️ technically you can play this on a guitar without a cutaway, it’s just not as comfortable. Good luck!
@@thestellarguitarist Everything is frustrating for me right now. Ive been hacking at learning this guitar for years now. This song looked so promising until this little snag. Oh well, not your fault. Thanks for the encouragement.
@@pathfinder1273 I’m sorry to hear you are feeling so frustrated 😣 in all honesty, the intro riff to this song is not easy to play at all! Playing the guitar should be fun and relaxing 😌 so I’d 100% suggest not getting down by what you are struggling to do and find a song that you will be able to play! Tomorrow I’m releasing a really nice lesson, I think you will love it! 🙌🎶
First record I ever owned, little flexible 45. I was 6, I think
