Your commentary is so succinct and conveys everything well. Thank you so much for demystifying this aspect of the game. Like others have said, it would be awesome if you made a series. I'd love to watch you play more.
Thanks a ton for this. That second mode being enabled makes all the difference in the world. There was a rich tin vein right under the spawn area in my world and I found it easily with this information.
what I am probably scratching my head is the amount of pickaxes you need on copper level just to advance using this method, since well.. it is using quiet a bit of durability. Probably 2-3 propick and 2 pickaxes for one ore chunk.
Why isn't pro pick enabled by default? I can't even imagine playing through the game early on making new picks trying to dig out a chunk just to find some copper or whatever material that *might* be in that chunk. It's like the default settings in this game were meant for a mobile f2p game. It's quite tedious but then again I'm just going to assume that it's meant for a lot of players on a server rather than a single person running around.
It's at the Wiki ( wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php?title=Mining ) Simply type the following into the chat: /worldConfig propickNodeSearchRadius [Radius]. INSTEAD of the [Radius} type 2, 4, 6 or 8 without [ ]. Then reload your world.
Thanks for this, very helpful. The ore bits in the ground give clues as to if it's worth prospecting around the area for the ore found, do they respawn? Because I didn't know about this and have searched the land for most of these bits so copper areas will be impossible to find again lol.
The ore bits signify if theres Surface copper directly under the nuggets. They do not spawn so unfortunately you'll have to find where you picked it up or just know better next time! good thing underground copper veins are massive!
Amazing video. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for; and explanation in survival mode. Bravo dude, well done!

It really is too bad he only has posted one video and hasn't come back. :(
@@bether2game797 I'm around haha, I mostly just help on the vintage story discord.
This video was very helpful to me. The one I viewed on the Wiki was good but this one was more helpful in walking through locating ore.

Wow. This is an absolutely amazing video. Thanks so much!
If everyone uses it why is node search turned off by default? Every guide ive seen uses it and it seems almost necessary.

This was a game changer. Thank you
Thanks! Great video and explanation!
How do you know how high your world is so you can calculate sea level? And is it that middle number?
You just go where water is and check the height coordinate. It should be 114 by default
Amazing
This is the worst mechanic in the game. I hate this, it's ruining my enjoyment.
Thank you Sir!!
Great tutorial :)
In the description it says minecraft, but it is VS
I'm a little amused you went back towards where you'd already confirmed there were no ore nodes to "prove" there were no ore nodes there. XD
I have only first searching mod for hammer. How i can activate secondary? I pressed F and got only one mod for choiсe.
I have the same problem
