What you're referring to is feast or famine. One of the ways I'm hearing about to safeguard against this is to offer ongoing services after the website design for a monthly subscription.
I totally get it. That’s why I went hybrid. I’m working part time as the creative director of my church while freelancing the other time. It’s still hard though. And I’m terms of health insurance, Canada makes it easy because it’s socialized, so I don’t worry about coverage like I did when I grew up in the US. Great to see you back!
What you said about health insurance is really sad to hear man, this shouldn't be the case in a first-world country ( not your fault at all ofcourse). But what you said about family is priceless, regardless of what kind of work or profession we do, family should always be number one IMO!!
After 11 years of freelacing, I'm finally done. As an employee, it is such a breath of fresh air being financially secure and getting your paycheck on time. It's been fun, but not going back to client work ever again.

You know what Like me a Newbie for freelancing ( struggling to get client) I feel I've been lied to by my sister(who urge me to go freelancing) and Freelancing Course schools, After I found out that Freelancing is not that Stable as someone like me who loves stability freelancing became a 2nd option now my main focus is to get A Corporate job and then get a part time side hussle this video makes me feel " I am right to change my strategies " Salamat! 🇵🇭
